Quick and easy experience dropping my donations off. I'll definitely be back with more.

I also find it notable that the clinic relocated to Texas in 2003, the same year major tort reforms made malpractice cases more difficult for patients to win. The way I was admitted many years ago would be considered far below the standards of best practice in more patient oriented states. If you are aggrieved in any way, they tell you to speak to a Patient Advocate who I experienced as not advocating for me, but protecting the institution in my talks with them. I did not get a promised call back or email back. I personally consider the Menninger Clinic a profit driven disgrace to the mental healthcare field.

They had me do testing and came back with "Borderline Personality Disorder with Histrionic Traits". I was 15 at the time, and diagnostically, you cannot diagnose anyone under the age of 18 at full accuracy. Every single doctor and psychiatrist I have seen that heard the diagnosis has been both baffled and insulted on my behalf as it wasn't BPD, I'm Autistic. I was misdiagnosed at a facility that charged my parents an honestly insulting amount of money, and they couldn't even do the thing they said they'd do right. I don't think anyone under the age of 18 should attend this place, and if you plan on going for diagnostics, go literally ANYWHERE else. the only good part about this place was the food.

I inquired about alternative approaches, such as focal laser ablation. He parroted back the usual: 'not standard of care'. After a month of obsessive reading and listening to podcasts, I came across an interview with Dr. Karamanian. I reached out. One month later I had 3 malignant lesions removed. I am now six months out. My PSA has dropped from 3.4 (Prior to the procedure) to 1.7 (2 months post-procedure), to current .79 (six months post-procedure). Sexual and urinary functions are both up and running (pun intended). Very grateful there are doctors like Dr. Karamanian, as well as his excellent staff.

The treatment and after care were excellent. Here is my problem: 1. A PET scan was not suggested prior to treatment and had it been done it would have probably shown that I was not a candidate. 2. At one year, the tumor was found to have increased substantially in size and spread to adjacent soft tissue. So, one of two possibilities seem to me to be the most probable: 1. The tumor was not completely removed and was actually spread to adjacent tissue by the treatment, or 2. There was a metastasis present that would have been seen on the PET scan that was not done making me a non-candidate. I am an MD who was in practice at the time of the procedure and for more than year thereafter. By the grace of God, I seem to have gotten a good response to radiation therapy combined with hormonal therapy.

He told me it had to be removed immediately or I'd end up in the hospital with a serious health risk, and gave me no other options. The procedure was coded in a way that insurance denied as cosmetic or comfort care, leaving me with a $400 bill that overdrafted my account. When I reached out for notes or a letter of medical necessity to appeal, I was told the physician no longer works there, transferred to billing, and the billing manager refused to help. She said they wouldn't do anything more, it was an insurance problem, and this was the last communication they'd have on the matter. She became aggressive when I simply explained I was upset about the situation. On top of that, they charged my card for the full amount without any prior notice after the denial, which came as a complete shock. The doctor was also negligent in dressing the wound, the gauze stuck to the nail bed, I had to return two days later, and he ripped it off dry, causing extreme pain and re-traumatizing the area. The nail is now not growing back properly. Patients deserve better than being left financially harmed and physically worse off with zero cooperation on fixing a preventable insurance issue. I wouldn't recommend this practice.

I had never seen a counselor/therapist before so I was very picky and did a lot of research. I wanted someone who shared the same faith with me and had experience handling the issues I was dealing with. I narrowed my search to Jamie and that was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Right from my first meeting with Jamie, I felt very comfortable, zero judgement, I was free to bear my heart out to her and she diagnosed the root cause of my issues which was a life with no boundaries. I had the biggest light bulb moments I've ever had in my life during our sessions. I spent over a year with Jamie and each session was super refreshing. I looked forward to each session. She uncovered a lot of connections from my past that were affecting some of the decisions and choices I was making. It was mind-blowing. I am a stronger woman with firm boundaries because of Jamie's help. She helped me work through each childhood hurt that was causing me depression. With her support, I had multiple difficult conversations with those in my past who hurt me and with each conversation, I was able to forgive and move forward and I felt a huge boulder drop from my heart. I am happier, healthier, no depression spells, have a very strong sense of self because of my time in counseling/therapy with Jamie. I've been able to finally drop my victim bags and realize that I have a choice and I'm making positive choices every day to forgive, love, and think positive. I've been recommending her to my friends and family ever since. I recommend Jamie to everyone going to emotional turmoil. She is a one-of-a-kind counselor/therapist. Thank you for all your help, Jamie. I'm eternally grateful.
