Its been awhile since I've used their service but here's what I recall. My roommate poured some crazy mix of food down the drain. When the food disposal flat out refused to work - I tried to fix the problem myself. Eventually I gave up and called the local hardware stores to see whether they had any recommendations for plumbers. I was a little nervous to go in blind - and none of my friends seemed to have any person that they trusted. I called different hardware stores for recommendations. The company that kept coming up was Montgomery's Plumbing. So I gave them a go. They were prompt, HONEST, clean, polite, and very reasonably priced. UPDATE: I now rent out my home. My tenants just contacted me and said that the disposal was acting up. This was puzzling since I had just replace the disposal unit a year ago. So I called up Montegomery again (Oct 2010). Originally I called in and Montgomery sent over there helper to fix the coupling for the water heater and it was fixed according to them, a year later had to call gas company because it was failing and they said it was fixed wrong and they just jammed in the line. I called mark personally and right away he said he don't touch them, he said call homedepot and just failed to stand by his guarantee. Telling me I'm on my own, they don't and won't fix it. But he did say he will put in a new one in...as if I would let someone work on or in my home after their giving me the back. Careful with business that don't stand behind there work. My hot water heater gave it up. 2 guys came out they gave me a really reasonable price. while 1 went to get the new water heater the other removed and got everything ready for the new one. I originally called a plumber who didn't service my area but he gave me Mr. Montgomery's number as a recommendation. He was very nice over the phone and we set up an appointment. His son ended up being the one to show up who was also very nice but seemed to be in his apprenticeship. We asked them to come replace our standard kitchen faucet with an updated one we purchased and to look into installing our alkaline water machine to a separate dedicated faucet which we had ready. We previously had a plumber in another state where we moved from install our machine with no problem as we also have the manual. He had to call his father to come take a look after a couple phone calls back and forth. Once he arrived he quoted around $250 in addition to the faucet install which was double what we paid before so we passed on that. I found the elder Montgomery less than personable in person and he seemed annoyed at the situation. I later came to find out that when they worked under our sink they disconnected the line to our dishwasher and failed to replace it. We had to have an appliance repairman look into why our dishwasher wasn't functioning and he found out that it had been disconnected. Luckily that was covered by our warranty for the service appointment but it was a nuisance in the meantime and could've been avoided if they were more thorough. We have since found a quality high rated plumber who was able to set up our water system seamlessly and for half the price. read more

I had my bathroom demolished last year by someone who better not be advertising because he will get an F for service..They did not cover the drainage properly in my shower and overtime a lot of dirt, cement and whatever started causing a backup of all this junk. I call Montgomery plumbing and they came right out the next day. I didn't think it could be cleared up right away or maybe I just don't know plumbing....lol. I called in the evening with a backed up sewer, and with 4 children, we can't live long without a working sewer system. Mark promptly arrived with his assistant early in the morning. The job was more complex than we originally thought it was, and he gave us a fair estimate and the job was completed on time. They even fixed an unrelated landscape drainage pipe that clogged with roots which was near the sewer line, for a very low additional cost. The Montgomery team was kind, courteous, extremely knowledgeable, quick, efficient, and cleaned up their work space before they left. They were even very accommodating to my children's endless questions. I would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.......just praying that I don't need them anytime soon.
