By the end, he was just as baffled as I was that SoCal Gas had flagged an issue. Talk about service. I called Nick the night before way past his working hours and he answered the phone. Most companies wouldn't even answer their phones at the hour I called. Nick was patient with me even how late I called and still assisted by trying to figure out my problems over the phone. Nick was very responsive and attentive to what I explained to him and HE SHOWED UP THE NEXT DAY!! TALK ABOUT SERVICE!! But what's even more fascinating is that the condo I needed help with, was a rental property and he even had great communication with me and my tenant and I wasn't even there!! One of my many nightmares as a homeowner was coming home after work, late on a Friday night to find my water heater had broken and my garage was practically flooded as water ran down the side of the water heater at full throttle. The valve used to turn off the water was an old round handle that was calsified with no intention of moving. I looked on Yelp and called the 1st company with a 5 * review. Let me start off by saying that I do not know Nick I any way personal whatsoever, o met him for the first time last week when he came to our home because we had a plumbing leak in our foundation slab. My mother found Nicks company, Impact Plumbing on Yelp and he had some great reviews and was also very close by. He came the same day to check our house and used his leak detection equipment to confirm that we indeed had a leak in our hot water pipes under the slab. He gave us a quote and estimate to fix it and it was very reasonable for sure. My mother wanted to get a couple more estimates and the other guys that came pretty much did absolutely nothing to co firm that we had a leak or find where it was, they just told us that we needed to re-pipe the entire house right off the bat and gave us an estimate of nearly $8000. We decided to go ahead and use Impact Plumbing and Nick came and gave us several options for doing the job that would be more economical for us as well as less invasive on our home. He knew that my mother is retired and didn't have much money so he was honest in giving us several other options other that just re-piping the entire plumbing system. We greatly appreciated his honesty with us and his willingness to do everything he could to make the job more economical for us and save us as much money as possible. Nick and his helper Jimmy did a great job and were both very friendly and personable and I felt comfortable having them in our home. Nick is an older guy and has been doing this for many years and seems to know every trick in the book to get the job done and to help save costs all around. My experience with Impact Plumbing has been absolutely amazing! Nick originally came to fix a water leak in the toilet which he was able to do efficiently and rather quickly. However, my friend wanted him to check a few other things. It was soon discovered that the main shut off valve to my home needed to be replaced. As well as the water filtration system in the garage was not working and needed to be replaced as well. As it turned out, both were put in incorrectly! He also replaced the timer on a recirculating pump and set the time. One of the things I noticed is a change in the water in the shower. When I take a shower the washing machine is running as well. Before when that was happening I was getting less water ---- now I'm noticing the water pressure and amount does not change.
