Hello, My name is Maryette and I need to share my positive plumbing results through McPherson Bros Plumbing. I had a bathroom leak so I contacted my home warranty which is (American Home Shield). A service representative from a local plumbing company came to my home to fix the water leak. The service representative determined the water leak was caused by the diverter spout along with a lack of caulking. When the service representative contacted American Home Shield ("AHS"), he informed AHS that he felt the main problem was lack of caulking. However, that was not completely true. There is a problem with the diverter spout and the overflow gasket. The service representative made five attempts to remove the diverter spout without success. Therefore, he did not see the water issue with the tube connecting the diverter spout. The service representative did not want to take the effort it took to remove the diverter spout, so that is why he informed AHS it was simply a caulking problem. I requested a second opinion and was offered the same, at a cost to me if the technician determined the caulking issue, was the entire problem. I did not want to be swindled by another AHS service representative so I remember using (McPherson Bros Plumbing) in the past. I contacted McPherson Bros and was given an immediate appointment. Jeremy from McPherson determined that the caulking would not eliminate my water leak. That the diverter spout along with the overflow gasket had to be replaced. When Jeremy turned on the water to the tub and shower (to test) the leak was pouring down heavily through the ceiling. Therefore, he further researched the problem and discovered I needed to have the tub shoe drain tightened and the seal replaced. I wanted to match my new spout with my current décor which is brushed nickel. Jeremy was able to match my new spout with what I currently have. McPherson Bros Plumbing was contacted on July 15, Jeremy was sent on July 16 and my plumbing problem was completely resolved on July 20. The price was very reasonable, the service was quick and the work was done cleanly. I highly recommend if you have a home warranty and you need plumbing service and you are not satisfied with your warranty plumber's recommendations or service you contact McPherson Bros Plumbing for reliable and guarantee service. By chance I saw the advertisement on this van when I needed the most of a plumber. I was ordered by The Gas Co. To fix a pipe to our swimming pool. I called the number and the owner answered! We called McPherson Bros Plumbing, They were recommended by a few different friends who used them whom we trust. I talked to Samantha who was very helpful and I told her pretty much what was going on with our situation with our old tankless water heater. I sent her photos and told her what the problem was. She assured me that they would be able to get to us promptly and that she would have the owner Mike get a hold of us to assess the situation and schedule an appointment Within 10 or 15 minutes Mike, the owner got a hold of me, and as I was telling him what was going on he was pretty sure he knew what it would take and immediately scheduled one of his technicians to come out at our next time that was convenient for us Jeremy drove out and showed up within the time range that was discussed with Mike Jeremy ended up installing a brand new tankless water heater. He redid a lot of the piping nice and clean and added some maintenance features that were not there for.. He also added a better filtration system Mike had told me they would do the best they could to get it done in one day and they did exactly that Jeremy was professional and knew his stuff After the install, he walked me through exactly what he did explain the warranty to me and explained the different components and parts that were part of the entire system he installed I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for quality plumbers who show up on time and do clean work and use good equipment. 6/16/2021 UPDATE: Still awesome! Had several dripping fixtures, Mike came out and assessed, Jeremy came out and fixed. The kitchen fixture couldn't be repaired, homebuyer's warranty would only replace with builder grade, they saw we had a Delta faucet, Mike went the extra mile and called Delta knowing we would have a lifetime warranty. You could tell when someone knows their craft. Before being referred to the McPherson Plumbing geniuses, I dealt with a plumber who was giving me the runaround about my leaking faucet, he tightened a screw and said, "there, problem fixed". The truth is, the problem wasn't fixed, and when I opened my cold and hot water lines, the leak that was "fixed" continued. You could easily tell the plumber was annoyed and didn't want to be there to deal with my faucet because my homeowners insurance didn't cover a new unit. Michael and Jeremy responded to our request to test and replace our main pressure regulator quickly and professionally. While cleaning up my front yard I noticed the sprinkler shut off valve was leaking which was piped before the regulator. We've had issues with the system for years, so we finally called the professionals to test the 30 year old part. Sure enough, tested over 110 psi. Michael took the time to explain what he observed and taught me what to keep an eye out for in the future. So I have a home warranty with a $125 service charge per claim. The warranty Co sent this co out to check my water heater that wasn't working. It is over 10 yrs old so they said it had to be replaced. Great so with my warranty, I should ONLY have to pay the service fee. Then i get a call from the provider that they won't replace it unless I pay THEM an additional $650 for parts I supposedly needed! I asked if those new parts I needed caused my heater to malfunction and was told no. I don't know HOW my old water worked for 10 years without these $650 worth of parts I'm now being told I need to pay for cuz the warranty doesn't cover them. I asked for a list of parts and prices so I could see what exactly these parts are and WHY they are sooooo expensive, almost as expensive as the water heater itself!!! I got the list, went to home depot and bought ALL the parts for LESS than $100!!! I asked the provider HOW can he mark up the parts soooo high and that it is akin to robbery!!! His response was that the warranty company doesn't pay them enough so they make their money from the customer!!! OMG!!! I am a single woman, a senior citizen on permanent disability which is why I purchased a home warranty in the 1st place. This was DISGUSTING!! He refused to use all the parts I bought so I refused to use them! I called the warranty company and told them and they didn't care and said my only other choice was to cash out our pay them the $650. I refused to be ridiculously overcharged by an unscrupulous provider so I took the $669 the warranty Co gave me even though the cost of the replacement water heater was $860 and I still had to pay someone to install it. I rathered do that than feed into being taking advantage of and ripped off!! American Home Shield warranty is horrible and the contractors they use are not the most honest people around. read more
