I would avoid Manasota Flooring. We had tile put into bedroom and closet. The rating is low for poor installation and poor customer service . The installation was sub par . The installer was more interested in getting the tile laid than doing a professional job. We felt he was lazy and did not take the time to ensure a nice transition between bathroom and bedroom as well as the closet. We were able to Convince him to adjust one of the transitions, but nothing others. Customer service was horrible. Sam was more interested in blaming us than their installer. read more

It was a real pleasure working with Jared at the Sarasota store. His communication throughout my whole project was phenomenal. During my install day, he even checked in to make sure things were going OK. The install guys replaced carpet in 2 guest rooms with tile. Over the course of 1 1/2 days they worked hard and took precautions to protect the path they were using to go from inside to outside. Overall a top notch job. Very disappointed with the final job and the reaction from both the salesman and the manager. Look closely at the photo of the doorway. Even though the knew they were removing the carpet, according to them this large gap was the fault of the builder. The installer didn't point out any problem, when I saw it he said "that's how they do it". Even the "primed" molding was filthy and scuffed up with black marks, I'll have to prime it before I can paint it. I expected a good job, not an amateur hack job. If you work with them don't assume a quality job, ask every possible question and get answers in writing. They don't seem to care. Better yet, find someplace that cares. I must admit I like the flooring but this can be bought at many different places. read more

They have a great selection on tile and flooring. I don't like how there's no pricing. They price by the amount you purchase which makes it hard to shop around the store when you don't know the price ranges of things. What I'm most upset about is dealing with the sales rep Tom. He accidentally double charged me on my $1300.00 tile purchase. It's been almost a year and I haven't been able to get my refund back. I've called, emailed, left voicemails, he refuses to contact me back. At this point it's absolutely ridiculous that it would go on so long. This was my second experience with Manasota in a year. The first was terrible I could go on and on with my sales rep blaming me for his mistakes... I tried again for another huge project which I was let down for the second time ( I should have known better). I spent nearly $100k with this company to be treated poorly, poor workmanship, workers not showing up etc I contacted the manager about a huge issue I had with the project only to be ignored for weeks. I guess it doesn't matter if the customer is satisfied. I had to hire out another company for $9500 to fix Manasota's mistakes.... Still No response from the company. We have written emails where they confirmed they messed up. They have been dodging us ever since. The floors must be replaced. I have never had a worse experience with a Company. They were out at my home today after several prior callbacks. During today's visit, they threw garbage in my side yard where they had no business being, they left garbage on my floor, they left dirty boot prints on my floor, and they left without completing the corrections and had to come back. As previously mentioned, today's visit was one of many callbacks on the flooring due to poor workmanship. In addition to this, they have laid my paver driveway twice, and make corrections to certain areas two other times, and we still have sinking pavers. Lastly, although they just installed my flooring, when we went to the store, they told us they do not carry it. We had to purchase additional flooring elsewhere. My husband and I went to. Manasota Flooring at the recommendation of our builder since they were the supplier of the flooring for our new home. My husband has ALS and overnight lost his ability to lift himself out of his shower chair. We needed to act quickly to find a solution and made the decision to raise our shower floor so I could easily push him into the shower. It wasn't a big job but to us it was an important job. We were able to find a contractor who would do the job over a weekend but we needed to move quickly to get the tile. We met with Tom at Manasota Flooring. Some issues arose as their records did not reflect the same tile that was reflected on the box of tile on the box of tile the builder left for us. I called Tom that same day to let him know what our builder paperwork showed as the tile we selected. I had to leave a voicemail and requested a call back. After an additional unreturned phone call our builder called and arranged an order. I provided my credit card number and requested a call as to when the tile would be available for pick up. We had less than 2 weeks until our job was scheduled. Tom Indicated the tile would take 3-5 days to be delivered to the store. I never received the call I requested. After a few days I called again and left a voicemail. After 24 hours without a call back I called again but received voicemail. I took my lunch hour and drove to the store to get a response. Tom was not going to be in until later in the day. The sales person I spoke with checked the system for my order but there was no order there. He checked Tom's desk for a folder but nothing was found. He did say Tom has a unique filing system. That did not ease my anxiety as I recall the state of chaos of Tom's s desk during our initial visit. I requested that Tom call me when he got into the office but no call was received. So here I am 4 days before our contractor starts our job and I have no tile. If you are looking for a vendor you can count on I would suggest you look elsewhere. read more

The guy who came out to lay the tile broke a piece and couldn't complete the job. That was around the end of January. We waited for about 3 weeks and didn't hear a thing from the tile shop. We finally called and the manager said he didn't know anything about the situation. If you're the manager, shouldn't you know that a job wasn't finished and you haven't been paid??? We waited a week and no contact. We called and the manager said he was working on it and would get back to us. We waited another week and no contact. Called and left a message to contact us. Nothing. Finally, today, we went to the shop. The manager said their tile layers had Covid. We certainly would have appreciated a simple phone call update. :( read more

Terrible experience, they installed tile floor on the second floor of my home, about five months after the installation, the tiles began coming off, they did not used the proper technique for the installation. (3,000 sq/ft) I contacted them before the year of the expiration of the warranty. The manager said they had to demolished everything they did and install the floor again. The crews that were sent were always late doing a terrible job. They keep changing the crew finally, after having two months my house upside down and several people coming and going, the job was done. One of the crews dented my new refrigerator. I did not care any more I just wanted those people out of my life. NEVER AGAIN BEWARE. read more

Not very good at all. Technician made a mess and left a mess replacing defective tiles. Technician came out three times because they installed the tile mosaic in wrong location. Don't think they know how to read specs and diagrams. New build home by Neal Communities and do not know why they continue to use Manasota flooring because they provide poor quality and service. Also, technician drilled three holes in tile and realized wrong location so he drilled three new holes on shower floor step to install shower door and just plugged unused holes. Unbelievable and unprofessional work for a new expensive home. No pride in their work. Do not use this floor company. read more

I purchased complete flooring throughout my living room dining area and kitchen and a complete gut and remodel of my kitchen which included new countertops, cabinets and glass tiling. The job started August 8, 2016! I gave them payment in full when each component of the work was completed. I had to have cabinet doors replaced (warped), 20 pieces of glass tiling replaced because they didn't use a diamond wet saw. The tiling contractors would show up when they felt like it and it took until August of 2017 to have it replaced. Threshold pieces had to be replaced and all of the base board replaced because it was gouged. I had requested new baseboard initially. I called my rep (to be unnamed) to have yet another cabinet door replaced due to peeling and that was in September 2017 and here we are with no response in December 2017. Would I ever use again, never! read more

As the flooring was just put down (7/28 and 29) I can only comment to their reliability and quality of service. Overall my wife and I are very fortunate to have quality installers. Not only did they work from 9:30 to 7:30 on Saturday, we found no issues what so ever. I have returned two extra boxes and now am waiting to see what type of credit will be applied. The material we chose was Cortec premium plus, so my sense is it's close to $200/box. read more

This is our second project with Manasota Flooring & we should have learned after our first experience. We had our bathroom measured by a salesman who said he would return our estimate in a few days. It is now 2 months & 6 calls later with no estimate. The first experience we got an installer who showed up when he felt like it, left for lunch & didn't return, & sat in a corner & texted for a 1/2 hr. We called & said we were unhappy. They sent someone else who had to remove many tiles & replace them. We should have been smarter but decided to give them a second chance because the first room did turn out nicely in the end. Installer arrived with NO ladder, plastic sheeting or tape. He complained when I insisted that vents, fans and doors to adjoining rooms be taped off. He intended to let the dust go everywhere. We ordered tile to be laid on the diagonal. I asked him where he intended to start so there would not be awkward edges or corners. He said, "I don't know. You tell me." Fortunately, I had studied the existing tile and had figured out where best to start. Despite 2 measurements and assurance that we had enough tile, he ran out. When he got to the last tiles, instead of tiling the visible thresholds and saving the closets, he tiled the closets! We had to order new tile and the color of the new batch didn't quite match. So, the mismatched tiles are not in the closets, but at the thresholds where you can easily see the mismatch. He slopped grout on the baseboards which I have had to painstakingly remove. He damaged some baseboards and even the paintjob on one of the walls. Manasota Flooring refused to give us any reparation for any of this. They refused to clean the grout haze, although I've since learned that some companies do this. I spent 2 days on my hands and knees doing it myself. When I was done, they gave me a solution which they told me to use full strength. I heavily diluted it and even then, it etched the tile where I used it. It can't be fixed. Finally, the tile is so cheap that after only a year, there are chips everywhere. The tile in the rest of the house is 19 years old and is in better shape. The grout has cracked in places and I've had to replace it. I would never use Manasota Flooring again, nor would I recommend them to a friend. read more

I would give ZERO stars if I could. Manasota Flooring has been a nightmare to deal with. My new home builder Casa Fresca contracted Manasota Flooring to place luxury vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms. I have called and emailed in regards to my warranty which no one would answer the question in regards to the length of warranty. Someone was sent out to fix the flooring but did not complete the job and used my extra flooring because at the time they could not access the replacement flooring. I finally received the replacement flooring at my door step 4 days ago, but not able to get anyone to come out and fix the flooring in the kitchen. I would not recommend this company for anything. I am contacting consumer service via my local attorney general's office and will seek an attorney if needed. I wrote to the BBB which one should check their website for the many complaints on Manasota Flooring and if your builders contracts with them, fight it. They are the worst! read more

Manasota Flooring did an INCREDIBLE job with the new flooring for our entire 1989 home and the experience from start to finish was excellent (and believe me - I am a very, very picky customer). Dean who was our sales person was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and PATIENT answering so many questions over about 2 months. He was never pushing and genuinely wanted what was best for us. The installation team was INCREDIBLE and the final installation is simply a work of art!!! Total craftsmanship!!!! Everything was demo'd, cleaned up, delivered and installed and again cleaned up as promised (although I will tell you if you're removing tile from your entire house, even with the A/C system 'off', be prepared for a dusty mess that will require packing everything before and more dusting even a few weeks which I didn't mind because I was staring at my beautiful floors LOL). I shopped many flooring companies (from big box store to smaller local groups) and I'M SO THRILLED that I landed at Manasota Flooring. Kudos to the entire team. The customer service we received was so poor, I feel compelled to warn others! Our experience was specifically with the Venice location. Trying to get updates was impossible and when challenged about this lack of communication - our salesman then refused to take my calls. Unbelievable! Put in a call to the district manager seeking assistance- twice. Never received a response. Prices are certainly at a premium for the product. I expected good service as a result. VERY disappointed. I found the salesman to be rude, disorganized, unresponsive and, in the end - useless. If you're looking for flooring or tile - try somewhere else! read more

I chose this business because of the selection and the salesman seemed knowledgeable and professional at first. I emailed him to ask for a sample of a particular floor product and got no response. But I ordered something else. When the installers came, they said they never received the transition piece that goes from the new wood floor to the hall tile. I called the salesman and left messages that the piece didn't come in and I didn't want to be charged the balance (50% down) until the job was completed. When I finally reached him on his cell, he said he didn't know about the missing piece. I also asked him if the installers placed small protective pieces under the furniture so it wouldn't scratch the floor. He said they don't provide them, but they'll put them on if we provided them. We ran out to get the floor protectors, but the installers wouldn't put them on. My husband had to lift all the furniture and do it himself. When another installer came to put on the missing transition piece a few days later, he said the first two installers didn't leave enough space for him to put the piece in, so he had to spend a lot of extra time cutting so the piece would fit. I have two other rooms to do, but I will not be giving any more business to Manasota Flooring. read more

We worked with Dean on a new flooring installation for our home. He was very knowledgeable about options for overlaying ceramic tile, to help us avoid messy tear up work on the tile. He definitely talked us out of potentially risky options. The work was performed on schedule, as promised. When he sent us pictures, we were not sure that the product was the color we selected (due to smartphone camera quality and lighting). He went the extra mile and, right after Hurricane Irma, went to check the flooring and confirm the product was as selected! I've never had so much trouble with a Company as Manasota Flooring in Venice, It's been nothing but a headache getting to fix a small job that was a botch installation. A simple kitchen tile backsplash installation with Ray Fernandez as foreman can't seem to get the job corrected. The salesman can sell a job but with this installation the tile was installed crooked all the way around, terrible. I've never in all my experiences remodeling other homes every experienced such a bad tile install. I was hoping this simple small job could be accomplished but I am still waiting to get this job corrected. I will never use them again nor recommend them. read more

DON'T! If you're considering doing business with this firm, don't! We ordered $7,000 of flooring on July 16, deposited half and were told it would be a week or two. At the end of the first week, we called to ask if they could give us an update. The salesman said he would know the next week. Ten days later, July 27, the salesman called to ask us what he had ordered!! Really? Never hearing from him, on Aug. 6, we left a voice mail and an email to cancel the order. They called right back. Guess what? The order just came in! , The manager, PJ, said, no, we can't cancel it. "It was special ordered for you and we won't eat it." He said he would send me a screen shot of the bill of lading showing that it came in. It also showed that it was ordered on July 30, two weeks after we signed the purchase order, one week after saying he would let us know the following week, and three days after asking us what we ordered. PJ wrote to my wife and said she was "unprofessional" for cancelling. Can customers be unprofessional? This is after he confirmed that his salesman should have called us, should have followed up, and obviously screwed up! "But look", he said, "I'm trying to make it right and I'm apologizing." How? By calling my wife "unprofessional", and by threatening to sue us for their short comings? To answer PJ's question of how they could be in business for over 50 years... I can only guess that at one time they had honest salesman and understood what customer service was. LOOK AT THESE OTHER REVIEWS! Don't aggravate yourself... find another company! read more

My wife and I went to manasota flooring to get an estimate for having our warped, glued down wood flooring removed and replaced with tile. It was warped because the original installers glued it down and did not leave any room for expansion. The salesman Dean Patterson will tell you anything to make the sale, We were told that there would be a crew (meaning more than one) to rip out the old flooring and to scrape up all the glue. One guy showed up. I am not complaining about him, because he did a fantastic job throughout (Michael) but because Dean lied about the crew, it took longer than expected. He worked 10 hours everyday with no lunch, he has the best work ethic I have ever seen. The last night he was there, there were still some heavy grout smudges on the tile when he left, which were not visible in the low light. After leaving messages with Dean, he called me back on Sunday night and told me it was my responsibility to clean the floors. Of course I got angry with him after paying $6500 and not having the floor clean. Would you accept a new car with smudges all over it? If Dean had provided the crew that he had promised in the first place, and not lied about it, then the installer could have finished his job properly., I cannot believe a company would take your money and then tell you it is your job to clean up after them. Shame on Dean for lying and for saying I have to clean it myself. On Monday morning, the installer came to finish the job. read more

I would not recommend this company. I purchased my back splash tile from them, but I did not use their installation people. The sales people were not able to tell me what the back splash material was (marble, stone, etc.) and I asked 2 different sales people. The independent installer we hired was the one who told us what the material was. The store did not call me to let me know when the tile came in. I had to call them to find out it had come in. We gave them the proper measurements but they did not order the correct amount so we had to order more, which meant that the installation person had to make an additional trip back to finish the job. Again we were not notified when the material came in. Once the installation had been completed we noticed that there was a rather large chip in the back splash. I called Mike, the sales person, and he told me it was my problem because we did not use their installation people. He was not willing to give me any money back for the faulty tile that I had purchased from them either. read more

We worked with Dean; he was very helpful in making my decision; we purchased a high quality vinyl plank and had it installed. The installers were absolutely wonderful!!! They worked so hard; removed our nasty carpet and some ceramic tile and did an incredible job installing the new floors. We recently went to Manasota Flooring for quotes for some vinyl flooring for a bed/bath, and for a living room. The sales person was very good, however there was no continuity as to what the person measuring, the installer, and the salesperson said. We told the salesperson and the measurer that I being handicapped could not move the furniture. We were told that the installer would move it. We we told further by the measurer that the toilet would be removed and replaced, as ANY flooring company would do as a routine thing, and that they would put a bead moulding on the floor to hide any gaps. Well- installer showed up and complained about 1)removing 4 pcs furniture, 2)having to cut vinyl to fit over the grates, 3) and removal of the toilet, all of which he said he was not aware of it. He did not remove the toilet-he went around it-which defeats the purpose of having vinyl under it to stop any water seepage. The installer put no molding down-which when asked, the salesperson said they often do not put any. Bottom line-Manasota flooring of Bradenton will not be doing any work for me in the future. I am hoping I can change this review from 1 star. Stay away from this place, Their communication and service is terrible. I ordered a box of tile to see if the color matched tile they installed 2 months earlier. They received the tile in 2 days but took 10 days to find it. I ordered more tile and scheduled the install a month out. Today they did not show up. No show no call, nothing.When I called they said they had a problem from yesterday and would come over in the afternoon. I called again in late morning they said they were 15 minutes away. Now it is at the end of the day and the installer asked if he could come tomorrow. If this ever gets resolved I will change the rating but I am not holding my breath. CHANGE: The Installers showed up around 5PM. They were given bad information on the scope of the job and are still here at 9:30pm. These workers are great I hope Manasota Flooring recognizes the these two guys. This could have been 5 stars if the customer service was any good. At the 11th hours they gave 110%. read more
