This is a small shop...so don't come in with expectations that they have the same selection as the other butcher shop in Eagle Point. I've gotten the Korean style short ribs at $4.99 a pound. It was delicious! Great meat to fat ratio. I've found that sometimes those cuts can be too fatty or that amount of meat can be uneven from one side to another. Not the case with the purchase I made here. Just marinaded it with some Korean BBQ sauce and threw it on the grill...nom nom nom! Their polish dogs are super yummy! Great snap to the casing and great flavor! I slathered it with some Dijon mustard and ate it with a super soft hoagie roll. I just bought their beef hotdogs, will update the review when I try those. So I've been craving a good, solid sandwich around here. From R&Ds to Luigi's...THIS place makes a better sandwich. I've had the Italian and the tri tip sandwich, both on a French roll. Soooooo goood!!! The bread had a good chewy exterior and a soft pillowy interior. The flavors of both sandwiches were perfect! Get the habanero jack on the tri tip with BBQ sauce, that's a yummy cheese. The sandwiches were a little pricey ($7.99 and $8.99), but are still worth it to me. They don't have many other specialty sandwiches, but can make some basic sandwiches if you prefer (ham, turkey, roast beef, etc). Oh and the service there is great. People were friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and even recommended things for us to try for our next visit. I'll be back to try their enchiladas. They were $3.99 for some fatty ones. Did a great job of butchering lamb. Packaging makes it easy to see different cuts of meat. Service was very efficient & people were nice.

Used to have the best sandwiches but they No longer serves sandwiches or has a deli. Only a butcher shop now.

Got a corned beef sandwich on sourdough, lettuce, tomato, pickle, mustard, and paid the extra $1 for avocado. The only thing I would change would be the pickles. Need fresher, more crisp pickles. I also got a pound of 50/50 ground Bacon/ground beef. Looking forward to burgers on the BBQ made with it. read more

Used them once to process our pork and never again. They did not follow my cutting instructions, then the lady argued with me about it, telling me there wasn't enough ground meat to make the half sausage/half ground pork I requested. She said the minimum was 13#. Guess what? I had 4x that much! She kept arguing with me, then finally said they'd take off the price of smoke for one ham next time. No way will there be a next time! I have had many animals processed at various locations over the years, and never have I had someplace not follow my cutting instructions. Then to argue with me about it. Not only that, but the hams were so bad, we threw them away--they were inedible. Their smoke is awful. read more

We swing by on Thursdays now for a bbq sandwich and some of Billy's mud. He also bbq's a hind quarter of chicken for $1.50. It is really good bbq and I can't cook a chicken hindquarter for that price. Billy has his cast iron out and is grilling the veggies for the sandwiches. Today I saw a half chicken and a ham hock on the grill. He does a lot of different meats. Billy says the fire's going and he might as well fill it up. If you aren't there on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday there are the other days of the week for a good sandwich. I haven't gotten past the salami and swiss. There might be other shops that have regular salami; the one I tried before wanted to use cotto salami and didn't have sourdough. read more

I recently had a pig raised by someone else. They had it taken to Montgomery Meats for butchering. They did the same horrible job that they did under the name Jerry's Meats. They don't follow instructions At All. I currently have 50 lbs of ground pork in my freezer instead of 25 lbs breakfast sausage and 25 lbs Italian. I got ham steaks instead of ham and a dozen other mistakes. Calling to complain is useless. The owners are never there and the staff refuses to address the issues. I called several times but never got a return call so if you want your order done right, take it somewhere else. read more

I wanted a sandwich with MEAT on it, not wafer thin wanna be meat products from underground transportation. All I can say was OMG my expectations were blown outta the water. Soft French roll, piled high with smoked turkey and garlic jack cheese, perfect amounts of mayo, mustard, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, sliced dills and olives. We've had our meat cut twice now by Montgomery Meats. The first time the cuts were all messed up, thicknesses were off, packages mislabeled. We called and explained to them what we were seeing, they apologized and said it was due to a new worker they had there. Fast forward 2 years to our most recent experience. Now, the first time we went in we were greated by a lady who made it seem like we were an inconvenience to her, not like a customer spending $500 to have our meat cut. To give her and Montgomery meats the benefit of the doubt we decided to have our meat processed here again recently. Again we were greated by the same lady who made us feel like more of an inconvenience than actual customers and now since we've had time to get in to the work they did for us, the best I can say is it's butchered, literally. It's Valentine's Day and we decided to have our Filet Mignons. They cut them in to 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch filets, not the standard everywhere you go normal size of 2 inches, nope, 1/2 inch filets. And these are nowhere near cut straight? They're diagonally cut to make cooking even more interesting, 1/2 inch on one side to 3/4 inch on the other. IF YOU WANT PROFESSIONALLY CUT MEAT, DO NOT TAKE YOUR MEAT TO MONTGOMERY MEATS. read more

Just had the best ever Brisket sandwich not to mention the 5 salads to choose from to complete this amazing lunch. Super friendly people. As soon as you pull up and open your door the wonderful smell of BBQ hits your nose and there is no turning back. Ample seating outside( and you can watch the bbq master at work) some seating inside. Many of the reviews are about the sandwiches which I have not tried yet. I was interested in sampling meat products that I usually buy at a competitor in Eagle Point, which has awesome selections. This business does not carry bone in pork chops which I buy every month. We just tried their breakfast sausage which is not sold in a frozen tube for easy portioning. The sausage was overly seasoned with sage and very salty. We taste tested their breakfast links too, and they had a taste perhaps from the seasoning that was not acceptable. We'll continue driving to the shop we always buy at! read more

Long time customer and a local. Tonight Iam very dissatisfied and disappointed in the quality of service. Needed a 1lb of sliced turkey for dinner, drove super fast to get there within 15 minutes of closing to be told they can't do it that they just cleaned the slicer? Am I wrong to say this is BS? There still open right? I understand you wanna get home but you take the risk of cleaning your equipment early in hopes that a customer doesn't come in..been in customer service before and If you cleaned your equipment before closing time and someone comes in you don't shun them and make excuses of why you can't get fresh sliced meat you take care of them and then re-clean your equipment. This is unexcuseable and needs to be addressed very unsatisfactory customer service. read more

The best sandwiches! The tri tip sandwiches are to die for! The tri tip is super tender and has great flavor. The other sandwiches are delicious too. They offer lots of different options and you can make the sandwich just the way you want. The staff is always quick and friendly. The beef sticks are delicious as well. Meat in every bite of the sandwiches, no skimping! I love the thin sliced onions and tomatoes. That's a key in a good deli. Great selection of cheeses & meats.
