I love this place!! I accidentally drove by the street because I didn't see the cherry street sign but the shop had a sign propped up at the corner so I was able to find it. It's set up like a small deli shop but I was told they have a massive fridge with a wide selection of different meats in their storage. I wanted to order a cut of meat that was good for hotpot and the girl that helped me (I wish I got her name) recommended that I get the chuck roast since it's cheaper and she sliced it as thin as I wanted. I also ordered a ribeye and some pork belly. What I liked about the pork belly was that it had a decent proportion of meat Vs fat and after I defrosted it, it was fresh good quality. Being new to the area, I have been told by more than one person that I had to check out Cherry Street Meats. So, I figured that a Thanksgiving day turkey would be the perfect opportunity to see what all the fuss was about. It definitely has the family feel, but you can tell right off that they know what they're doing. As it was my first time even ordering, much less cooking a whole turkey, I felt like they listened to my needs and gave helpful advice. I paid the extra $10 for them to brine the turkey and thought that their price per pound was very reasonable. I put in my order on Monday and returned on Wednesday to pick it up. I plan on skipping the grocery store meat section and coming back when I need meat products. read more

My mom has lived in Medford for over 25 years. We just moved up last May. She told me about Cherry Street Meats. We went there today. UNBELIEVABLE. These people really GET IT. Amazing customer service and SUPERB meats. We got beef tenderloin, beef jerky and halibut. Had the meats tonight. Seriously the best I have ever had, and I am a bit of a food snob, coming from a place down South which I prefer not to mention, lol! GO, GO, GO here! You will NOT be sorry. read more

I'm only giving them 2 stars because their cuts and quality went way down and the prices went up. The staff there is extremely friendly though and always great customer service. I haven't ordered a meat pack from them in some time now, due to how thin the cuts were and the quality wasn't there. Otherwise a great business. read more

I love this place, but unfortunately they've lost my business. the last 3 times I've tried to buy dog food they've been out. Which isn't my main concern, I totally understand. However the last 2 times they were out they took my name and number and told me they would save me some(I needed 200#) and call me when they had more. Neither of those things happened. So today I stopped by to see if maybe they just got busy and didn't get a chance to call. Only to find out they were out again! So not only did they not call they didn't save any for me, even though they said they would. I'm trying really hard to try to understand that things happen. But they said it would be ready Thursday, I came in Thursday less than an hour after they opened. Why take my name and number? Why offer to set some aside for me? If it's first come first serve just say that. anyways I tried and it really is unfortunate because my dogs prefer this food over other places. read more

Walked in to Cherry St and was greeted by a wonderful staff. They were busy getting the holiday orders together as Christmas was two days away. I made an unusual request for a bone on fillets, which most stores do not carry, cut, or have ever heard about. The Cherry St. Staff worked with me to cut exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. You can say they saved Christmas for us. Went here for a brisket. I asked for a nose off one for smoking. They handed me a pre-packaged one. Maybe I am spoiled, but at The Butcher Shop they show me what they freshly cut for me and then offer to run it through the tenderizer. They didn't offer to tenderize it or anything. It was similar to shopping at Safeway, but I was expecting a premium butcher experience. The quality was OK. read more

Have bought beef here for years and have always been able to count on good beef. I am not sure why, but the quality has slowly declined, as has the customer service. I ordered a prime cut, prime rib for 8 for Christmas. The cost was $200. I understand about prime rib and fat, having ordered many previous prime ribs. This was in a class by itself however. More than one half of the meat was pure fat. In fact there was not even enough meat to feed my company. The customer service was nonexistent. I didn't expect anything from the store, but some sympathy would have been nice - we had spent $200 with nothing to show for it except a few scraps for the dogs (but I didn't even want to give them that much fat). read more
