The problem was a bit of a mystery, after Ray had tried all the basic stuff (fuel pump, relays, etc) and took a lot of work to resolve. Ray showed up very quickly, brought parts, tried some stuff, bought a few more parts, tried a few more things and... after some more parts-buying and stuff-trying (keeping us in the loop the entire time about why he was doing this or that thing and giving us the option to not keep going) he was able to fix the problem, explain what he fixed in simple terms, and give us "things to look out for" as my partner drove home. He made it home with no issues! Ray's prices were super reasonable considering he was doing the work on a Sunday afternoon in the road in front of my house. He was tenacious about getting to the bottom of things and his knowledge of cars is encyclopedic. Really good communicator, friendly guy, I would absolutely use him again for anything from routine work to something more complex.

I had to have it towed to two shops until they found... the transmissions drain plugged was pulled by someone that did the oil change that didnt know what they were doing and likely put it back as soon as they noticed they screwed up. My transmission is supposed to hold 3.5 liters but only had 1.5 in it. They almost cost me $14,000 for a new transmission (they did cost me a couple of thousand in towing charges and trying mechanics trying to figure out what happened). Separately, I had tried to make an appointment for my wife's tires since she bought them there but they wouldnt make an appointment and were rude. Me and my family will never go there again. They have lost our business forever!!
