It was amazing food with a very good price. The variety and amount of food was really good and it was nice and fast service.

The Long Version: My husband and I were chilling in our hotel when my husband had a hankering for some shawarma. He didn't want to go too far, and I encouraged him to try a new-to-us place, lol. So a quick search led him to Shawarmaz. Shawarmaz is a Canadian company that started 2013 in Montreal. It has several locations but they are all in the Greater Montreal Area. My husband got the beef shawarma in a pita $9.79. They have the option of getting your shawarma in Saj bread or a baguette and those options are more expensive. He got lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, turnips and onions. For his sauces he got hummus, spicy garlic and chipotle. He enjoyed the shawarma. I had a bite so I could review it (I also went with him so I could see the restaurant and take pictures) haha. I thought it was pretty good. They give you a decent amount of protein. And the beef was flavourful and not gristly. I was surprised that the wrap was not too spicy considering the sauces he chose. The decor is fast food restaurant-like. Service was good but it did take a while for the food, although it's likely because there was a pretty long line up. Review #205 (2025)

Humus was some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place. My only advice would be to advertise the upstairs seating area better.

The food was fair we have tasted much better and warmer food.. some dishes came 30+ minutes late and cold. So for us it was a poor choice on Christmas Day. As a lot of places were closed and over packed with reservations.. the stars are for having seats.. and well decorated plus the fair food options with good pricing. Lost of stars was due to short staffing & cold food.

I went with her to this awful restaurant "MAMA KHAN". We were visiting Montreal. Originally we are from Boston, MA USA. First and foremost, I'm not sure it is a Pakistani restaurant or it it is run by Afghani people. The first order was Samosa. It was burnt outside cooked in high heat, so when we opened it one layer of Maida was raw inside. The potato inside was black and had a weird taste. We were hungry so we hate the outside part of the Dough, although burnt. Second order was lassi- it smelled something awful. I drank one gulp and didn't touch it again. The third order was chicken haleem but it appeared to me the chef forgot to put the chicken- it tasted like dal and wheat. Although it was not that bad. I ate it as if I'm eating dal. The third order was lamb charsi Karahi. I could not eat even one piece. It was not cooked at all. I packed the lamb as by now I had lost faith and didn't want to leave the entire untouched dish. I thought these guys may serve my left on table dish to someone else. We took the left over food and put it in a trash. The Nan was not bad except one fourth of the naan was not properly cooked, so we discarded that portion and ate the rest of the naan with the "DAL HALEEM" Service- the kid was from Afghanistan and was decent. He was polite.
