I had a great experience with this auto shipping company. This was our first time using this service, we moved from California to Texas this week and had our Audi rs3 shipped to our new address. We booked our reservation 2 weeks in advance, didn't hear from montway until the week before with a possible driver. We ended up getting our car picked up a few days earlier then the initial pick up date, it worked out for us in the end. We met our driver, Rinat, in a parking lot near our house and he loaded our car. It was supposed to take 7 days for delivery but since his truck needed work we got our car on the 8th day. Rinat was wonderful to work with, very commutative and took great care of our car. Rinat works for kwik trans inc. We will definitely use montway again! read more

The booking process is fairly straightforward and their chat / email communication is good. However, that's where it ends. The communication with the drivers is terrible. It's bad enough that they give you a 5 day window to pick your vehicle up because who doesn't love having their schedule in limbo for 5 days, but why bother giving you the driver information when the drivers don't even respond to your inquiries. They need to improve this process. I have used them twice now on long-haul jobs. This will definitely be my last time using them. I would not recommend this business. read more

I was never given driver contact information, had no idea where my car was, and every time I called, I was met with rude and dismissive customer service. I requested management multiple times and either didn't get a response or was promised follow-up that never happened. When it was finally time for delivery, I was told last-minute to meet the driver at an elementary school and to "hurry up" because they couldn't wait. As an amputee, that was not only inconvenient--it was completely inconsiderate. The worst part? My car arrived damaged. My rear passenger-side headlight is broken, and no one can explain how it happened. This company expects customers to follow contracts while they fail to meet even basic standards of communication and care. Took it to get quotes for damage and they stated it wasn't rock chips or hail but metal on metal (so a chain link or tool box). They're saying it's not their fault and won't cover the charges. Montway is a trustworthy company. Tim sent me a quote and then Ruben helped to place an order. The car shipping was assigned to the carrier, Coast to Coast Express, and trucker, Vlad Reaboi. It was arranged that the car is picked up from Frisco, Texas on March 8 and delivered to Santa Clara, California on March 11. The pick up was done timely in the morning of March 8 and delivery was perfectly done on March 11 at 7:45am, all as planned. So I moved from LA to Dallas during the Peak of this Covid-19 Pandemic and decided to ship my car for the first time ever. So I didn't have to deal with that hassle or check points. I've always seen this company pop up first on goggle and saw Montway has an online chat so that told me customer service should be exceptional or so I assumed. Booking online was easy they have a cash option where once assigned a driver, you pay a deposit by card of $200 and the remainder once the vehicle is delivered. So I chose that option and you select a date and they pick it up fairly close to that date maybe a couple days before or after. Montway is pretty much the middle man and you never really talk to the actual driver and honestly don't need to if Montway communication is good. The driver is just some contractor and doesn't work for Montway but I assume they get a cut yatta yatta business talk. I didn't care long as my vehicle made it safe. Shockingly the driver actually made it to LA on the exact date that I requested. Montway contacted me by call/text an hour before and dropped a pin to where the driver would meet me. It was a few blocks from my house. The driver welcomed me and checked for damages and you sign off and give him the keys and that was pretty much all the communication I had with the driver. Also they say you will be charged extra if you pack your vehicle with more than 100 lbs. I had a few suitcases in there but shouldof packed more because the driver was really lenient and didn't pay too much attention to what was in the vehicle. I'm sure they just don't want you packing you're entire house in there. Driver picked the vehicle up on a Thursday, Montway said it could take up to 5 days but expect to arrive in Dallas by Sat/Sun. I was like ok bet. They text and call you everyday most of the time it's automated calls and it's low key annoying but I was notified my vehicle would arrive on that Sunday. So risked my life and flew to Texas hoping I didn't bump into Rona. They delivered the vehicle pretty much around the time they said they would. This time though it was a couple miles from my house or so at a Walmart. But there was plenty of open parking lots right next to the address I gave them. So idk why the driver went way over there. But that's fine. I paid the rest in cash nothing was damaged the entire cost was $800 including the initial deposit. I feel like it couldof been worse. Once you book it though I would always recheck rates before assigned a driver make sure you're getting the best rate. Because when I was thinking about booking it a month before I actually did it was $1,300 so imagine if I booked it then and never looked again. That's actually probably why I didn't. But anyways from my booking all the way to delivery there was not problems. So I have to give them all stars I don't even do reviews but this was a lot of money and a lot of contemplating. My car was being shipped from New York to Florida and I would not recommend Montway to my worst enemy! They subbed my car out to a transport company that was late picking up my car. Even though I paid extra for a two day guarantee pickup, that was to be on Thursday (and they said it would be at noon). They arrived Friday at 11 pm only because it was getting so late that I called the driver and complained that I paid extra for a guaranteed pickup or they would have showed up on Saturday. They also said that my car would arrive in Florida by Sunday and it arrived on Monday at midnight. I called the dispatcher at 8 am Monday morning and he said the car was in South Carolina and they would call me when they were 30 minutes away and they never followed-up. It got to a point where I actually though they stole my car because they had so many excuses that I was going to call the police. I kept calling for hours and the driver finally answered at 6 pm and said they were only 3 hours away. They finally showed up on Monday at midnight. I found Montway to be extremely unprofessional, unresponsive and lack basic communications of the whereabouts and true delivery time of my car. I had to rent a car for an additional two days because of their lack of transparency. I would NOT recommend using this company! read more

This is not a transport company. This is a broker. They send you to another company who basically bids on the delivery and takes it. They have no guarantees or selective process on WHICH carrier you will be matched with. IF AND WHEN your car gets damaged, they don't do anything but try to mediate but they have been unhelpful at best. The carrier that was matched was awful My car has 15k of damages and no one is taking responsibility. So I asked Montway directly if the car is insured and they said yes. I called. I chatted with a customer service person. I asked and confirmed twice. I asked if there was a difference in safety between closed and enclosed and they said that everything has insurance so I would be fine either way. What a joke. Just beware. They don't do the transporting. When the carrier arrived, it was demanded that I provide cash at 7am which was never disclosed to me. I paid initially by credit card but again, once Montway matches you, they are entirely done with you. So it's basically roulette on if you get matched with a legitimate company or not. I did not and Montway basically washed their hands. I would not recommend for all of the aforementioned reasons. Unethical company. We should have paid more attention to the reviews that said so. Montway's Retail Sales Account Manager, Jason, set us up with specific pick-up and drop-off dates for a motorcycle shipping from Arizona to Austin, TX. We agreed to those dates. After charging our credit card for the full amount, we get a notice saying that they will pick up and deliver our motorcycle on different dates than what we agreed to. The new pick-up date was fine, but the new drop-off was not possible because no one will be at the destination on the new drop-off date. To cancel the order, it will cost $199. Classic bait-and-switch... Of course, the sales manager that we dealt with won't answer his phone now and no one wants to even work with us. We recently used Montway to have our vehicle shipped from Austin Texas to Massachusetts and it was an absolutely terrible and nightmarish experience to say the least. They picked up our car on 6/27 and I was told by the driver that it would be dropped off in Massachusetts within 4-5 days. This company does NOT pick up your vehicle and then drop it at your door, rather, they drop your vehicle off at some very small auto body shop where it then sits for almost 2 full weeks because the auto body shop doesn't feel like delivering it yet. Montway then, essentially, washes their hands of it completely because they've already collected your payment so they couldn't care less and their customer service illustrates this with every interaction. You will also sit on hold for a very long time each time you call. When we called to get an update as to why it hadn't been delivered on July 5th, the estimated date listed, we got the runaround every single time. My car was probably just sitting outside in this auto body yard where anything could happen to it. We called probably a dozen times and Montway acted incredibly indifferent and kept saying "that's how things go in the logistics business". My car was finally delivered on July 9th at 10pm at night!!! I had to get out a flashlight to make sure there wasn't any damage. We demanded a partial refund and had to threaten to report our vehicle stolen repeatedly. They credited us back $50 dollars and refused to do anything else. We paid over $1,300 for this service and it ended up being the most stressful part of our entire cross country move and they only gave us $50. Run far from this company and you're better off using absolutely anyone else or towing your vehicle yourself!!! read more

Some fool named Paul came and got my car and said he had to drive it .5 miles to the carrier because he couldn't load on my street. That was a LIE! I never saw my car being off-loaded off a transport carrier. Same lie was used as before. My car was delivered to me with an extra 50 miles tacked onto it. Before my car left Dallas enroute to Southern California, it was maintenanced (oil change / brake and fluids check.) It was PERFECT. A week after I got it back, there was no oil in it (no oil leaks) It took my car 7 days to go from Dallas to Woodland Hills, California. They said it would take 3 days) Excuse #1 - Air Bag dysfunction. Excuse #2 - Flat tire. Spoke to several reps from Montway regarding several issues with this transport (Stephanie / Teresa / Antonio and a few more) regarding this IDIOT (their 3rd Party Carrier) and got nowhere, although Teresa / Stephanie were nice. Antonio, on the other hand, was Rude / Unprofessional / yelled at me. No resolve from these people. Do yourself a favor.... save money and DON'T use this transport company.
