While I only went to Maya for years and was sad to see her leave, I am overjoyed to see Kiyara is a masseuse here now. As soon as I entered the doors I was transported to tranquility. I was greeted with warmth and promptly set up for my service. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage with a 15 minute stretch added on with Maureen. She was incredible. It felt like years of stress and tension melted away through my 75 minutes. This place is definitely a hidden gem! The receptionist (Shonda) was incredibly sweet & welcoming. She really set the tone for the experience. I booked a couples massage to surprise my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and our masseuses were both incredible (Jess & Mary Rose). The only reason I rated this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because to our surprise there is no couples room so we had to be in separate rooms for our "couples massage" which was really unfortunate. To be completely honest, I wouldn't have booked here if I would have known that in advance. I called in to book the treatment and didn't book online so I was completely unaware of the separate rooms. Made an appointment for a deep tissue massage with Kim at the recommendation of a friend - it was amazing! Highly recommend! Location is convenient (a few minutes off the Lorton exit), parking is plentiful (lot), and the office building it is located within is clean (took the elevator down one floor). The reception area has a calming ambience - dark walls, soft music, trendy furniture - and the receptionist was very welcoming and offered a beverage while I waited. Kim introduced herself, and once we were in the massage area she asked a few questions to understand my goals for the session. She is clearly knowledgeable in massage therapy and had a few suggestions for what areas she could work on. I appreciated that she listened to my concerns, respected my requests, and occasionally checked in throughout the massage. She was really able to work through some of the knots in my back without applying unnecessary pressure - I felt so much better afterwards! I was able to tip using Venmo, which was great because I don't always carry cash. The sauna was ready for me once the massage was completed, but unfortunately I wasn't able to stay - I'll have to try it out next time! read more

Great escape in the neighborhood! I have gone to Mood twice now for massage with both Eric and Maya. They were both outstanding! I added hot stone massage for both treatments and also added cbd oil for one of the appointments. I have a jacked up knee right now and that really helped! I had my first facial at the Mood Lounge and had a great experience. My esthetician(Logan) was very kind and made sure I was relaxed and comfortable, the service was very nice. However, I unfortunately had an allergic reaction to the products used due to having very sensitive skin. I let them know what happened and Logan quickly responded and insisted on giving me a complimentary service to ease my discomfort and help me figure out what my skin was sensitive to and safe products to use tadd to my routine. MOOD Wellness Lounge offers the very best spa experience in and around the Lorton area. The atmosphere is tranquil and serene while still feeling modern and chic. Each time I have entered the space I have been greeted with kindness and empathy and I have immediately felt a sense of being pampered and cared for. Every time I have left there, I have felt relaxed and refreshed and like my very best self. The services provided are top-notch. I have received many massages in my life and I definitely put MOOD at the top of that list. Jessica is simply spectacular and intuitive and sometimes knows better what my body needs than I do. This month, I tried a facial (a new service on offer) and was simply blown away by the delicate touch and skill of Kelly. My skin looked and felt fantastic and I felt like a new woman. I can't wait to come back and see her again. I have been a regular since January and I can't imagine going anywhere else in the area. They have met all my needs and then some. When I wanted to bring my three sisters-in-law for a spa day they arranged to have it be a women-only experience and really made us feel special and pampered, like the space was just for us. When my back was totally spasming and I couldn't get a doctor's appointment, they were able to get me in almost immediately and provided several treatments that brought relief. I've left a review for MOOD WL previously but I keep getting prompted to leave a review. I absolutely love MWL; before MOOD moved in there really wasn't a "local to Lorton spa" to get even a decent massage service. I have used MOOD several times since November for acupuncture (Lisa) and massage (Earl) ... I had to take a break for the past couple weeks because I have been sick and didn't want to infect anyone- even though it's not Covid, still don't wanna get others sick. I didn't find MOOD, MOOD found me as they sent out flyers last year (2021) and I was in need of acupuncture on my back, hip, knee and my pesky quad. I decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did. I really despise driving more than 15 min for a relaxation appointment. MWL is 10 min from my house- SWEET! Lisa is great and I've had some great responses with her acupuncture... on my lower back, hip, knee and wrist - the needling released the pain almost instantly but my quad tear drop muscle (vastus medialus) has some odd damage and it's taken a bit more time but I'm so happy with the results I've received thus far! My husband can tell a difference and guys usually don't notice anything! I've had several sessions with Lisa- I plan to continue working with her for a few more months and I hope that my quad will be better!! I usually see Lisa weekly but had been sick and will schedule with her starting next week. I have gotten two 60 min massages with Earl and they are incredible! I have a monthly massage appt with him and I look forward to it... I usually hate making appts because it turns into a chore but because it's so close and it's so good and relaxing, I actually look forward to it! My husband has an appt with Jessica for a Valentines gift, he's excited because it's so close and he doesn't have to travel through awful traffic to get a relaxing and therapeutic massage. Everyone at MWL is killing it, you now have to book out more than a week in advance for an appt. I'm really excited for them!! Lastly, the receptionist (I can't believe I don't remember her name) is so nice and helpful, the location has more than enough and free parking and the studio is so pretty, clean & cozy.
