At some clinics, patients were double-booked and left to do exercises on their own, sometimes without knowing whether they were performing them correctly. At one clinic, I even had a therapist spend part of our scheduled session watching TV. At Kailua Physical Therapy, the experience has been completely different. The therapists provide personalized attention and make sure exercises are done correctly and safely. The entire staff creates a warm, supportive environment that makes you feel comfortable and confident in your recovery. I highly recommend them.

A major issue is their inability to retain talent and their ongoing scheduling practices. Over my last 30 appointments, they have consistently started 5 to 7 minutes late. Because they are scheduled back-to-back and need time to reset their tables, they still get you out exactly on time. This means you routinely receive a 38-minute session while your insurance is billed for a full 45 minutes. What makes this incredibly frustrating is the double standard with their attendance policy. If they cancel your appointment, all you get is a quick "sorry." But if you are late or miss an appointment, you are hit with a strict $50 fee--no exceptions, regardless of your loyalty as a long-term patient. Save your time and money, and go somewhere else.

I have both Doctor Carlie & Doctor Steve, Between them they have a lot of experience and both are very compassionate and professional. They listen and observe to make sure you are not only doing things right but to make sure you are comfortable and not aggravating the injury more. I needed another massage after a gym session last night left me tight and sore. Audrey is very personable and loves to get to know you and your situation. Her glides and techniques were some of the best I've ever felt and I've gotten plenty of massages all over the island. She is the only masseuse I've ever that was able to tell where my body was tight and sore by massaging me, she focused on those areas without me saying anything and after the massage I've definitely felt much better and looser. She's super experienced and her work shows. I would definitely recommend Audrey but make sure to book way in advance she's in high demand.

Like I looked 6 months pregnant all the time even before meals. I eat healthy so I was at a loss to what was causing it. I also am normally 160 lbs and don't fluctuate at all, but in the last 6 months, I was up to 168 lbs and was so confused why because my lifestyle never changed at all. My doctor tried to convince me that I had to go on antidepressants (?) for my gut health (!!??) which I thought was absurd. My doctor basically said best case scenario, I get transferred to GI and they do a bunch of tests for a lot of money and then they diagnose me with IBS. There's apparently no treatment or cure for IBS so I wasn't satisfied with this, especially since I didn't always have the bloating issue. My mom told me that she secretly went to a colon hydrotherapist and it helped her and when she told me what that was I was seriously grossed out but also so uncomfortable from the bloating and so desperate. I called him and honestly thought he was kind of cocky, but didn't have another option so I went. I was so nervous but he was really chill and make me comfortable. It's basically in his apartment which is kind of weird, but he was clean, had the right supplies, and I've been two times already! Gonna make my third appointment right now. Back down to my regular 160 lbs from doing nothing, so I guess it was just 8 lbs of poop stored up lol. During the process, he was extremely knowledgeable and What I've learned is that you should just do what he says. It works. He may be blunt, but just don't be sensitive and it will help you! He even gave me this clay to put on my skin because he said I had an uneven skin tone LOL but let me tell you that clay worked so good and I'm buying my own! The fiber that he gave me I was suspicious about but listened and took it every day. Totally helped and sooooo much came out on my second visit I was SHOCKED and kind of horrified. After the second visit, my "bloating" was still relatively flat stomach evne after eating food and I thought I was cured so I stopped taking the fiber. After 6 weeks, the bloating came back! I immediately started taking the fiber again and am going to make another appointment for maintenance. The fiber, although very gross, works like a charm. Overall, totally worth it!
