We have been using Moon Valley Nurseries since we put our pool in back in 2014. Our first experience wasn't very good- not going lie. But, they have made things right with us ever since then and we just finished our 5th purchase/installation with them. Paul Balezentis has been our sales guys for the last couple of purchases. He has gone above and beyond- and I can honestly say that because when our 1 queen palm snapped in a crazy wind storm in the fall and landed on our fence- I called him just to get some advice on what to do and he jumped in his truck and came out to our house and helped us get the tree off the fence safely. We were finally ready to get that tree replaced and called Paul once again and he picked out an awesome looking sabal palm for us so we didn't have to go to store during all this crazy Covid-19 stuff. In fact, the tree he picked is nicer than the 2 other sabals we picked ourselves 2 years ago. The crew that came yesterday had familiar faces in it and they did a great job installing the tree just as they did the last couple of times. We had a great first-time experience working with Chris Fiqueroa when my wife and I visited Moon Valley Nursery. We weren't sure what to expect but he really helped pick out our trees and even designed a small backyard project for our new home. He was very knowledgeable and made it a breeze for us. We're looking forward to working with him again on the next phase of our backyard project. I forgot to mention that the foreman, Connor, and his delivery crew on our 1st phase planting were quick and very careful not to cut anything underground. Connor made sure to make it match our design layout. They definitely did a great job at making Chris' design into reality. 2nd Update (7/13/19): Chris was great to work with again on our 2nd phase of our backyard design. Absolutely fantastic team at Moon Valley Nurseries on Katy Freeway. We met with Jeremy a couple of times (extremely helpful and knowledgeable) before purchasing some large trees for our Harvey-flooded home that we lost in the flood waters, as well as many other plants. The back yard was the final restoration that we needed. Our yard has never looked so beautiful!!! Everything was strategically placed to gain the most beauty in our yard. It looks spectacular. And everything is guaranteed. The care and expertise was unmatched. Jeremy was at our home before we purchased anything, to check out the yard first. For the past few years I wanted to transform my backyard to a tropical paradise but didn't know a thing about palm trees and didn't know where to start. I did some digging and found out about Moon Valley, I called and was instantly impressed by the polite costumer service and knowledge I received from David over at Moon Vally Nurseries Katy location. Just had my three 14ft Monterey Oak tree delivered yesterday!!! The tree are high quality and look beautiful in my yard! My experience from the start to finish was excellent! Karina (my salesperson) was knowledgeable and very patience with me and my husband. I could tell she wanted us to have the very best for our yard which I appreciated.On my delivery day, Vincent (our site forman) was awesome as well! I didn't know what to expect but they unloaded those tree fast . He had his guy's place the tree by my makers to get a realistic visual before digging. We moved two of the tree slightly until I said it was perfect. Then in no time they were in the ground. Vincent and his guys were very respectful to my home. When one of our trees died, we reached out to Moon Valley to find a suitable replacement per our HOA requirements, and we requested a design and plant of our front flower bed. Jason came to view our yard and discuss our gardening skills (low), and recommended a low-maintenance set of plants that would look nice and coordinate with our other plants. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and prompt with getting us on the schedule. When it came to planting, Kevin and his crew came and left very quickly and did a clean job. He also explained watering and feeding recommendations. Everything looks well-spaced and professional. We look forward to seeing how the plants grow and fill the space, and confirm if they are truly as low maintenance as promised! Oh my gosh! Chris and his crew from Moon Valley Nurseries transformed my yard from a big nothing to a lush, gorgeous paradise! So very happy with how it turned out. Chris designed the landscape work with trees (big ones and smaller ones), gardenias, shrubs and flowers. It looks fabulous! It turned out better than we had planned. He concentrated on the areas we most wanted beautified and truly, more gorgeous than we ever dreamed it would be! The crew that came and planted and mulched were amazing! They worked so fast and cleaned up completely, I was just blown away. I thought there was no way to complete the job in one day but they did! They planted over 240 plants and trees. This would be I believe our forth straight year coming back to Moon Valley. One of the familiar faces there would be Steven has helped us just about every year as we usually come within the first week they're open. As always, their service is fantastic and they are huge supporters of firefighters and law enforcement. This year, we were helped by David, the nice young man pictured in our review. He was super patient with us as we went back and forth through an endless amount of fresh trees and ultimately ended up carrying one of the trees across their lot to have it side by side next to my wife's other picks. I couldn't be happier with my purchase from moon valley (Katy-West Houston). From the first call with Jeremy, I was impressed with their customer service. Jeremy helped me identify exactly the right fit for my project. I ended up purchasing 11 Japanese Blueberry trees to form a privacy hedge in my back yard. I had a tree that was dying in my front yard and I knew I was going to have to have it removed. I stopped by Moon Valley Nursery and spoke with Rich and he spent time with me to determine the type of tree to replace it with. I also purchased a couple of trees for my backyard. I purchased the trees in August and wasn't able to get them planted until the middle of October. They held the trees until I was ready for them. Well today Connor and his crew came by and planted all three of the trees in under an hour's time! They cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process look super easy. I was looking for a well established Maple tree to replace a Talo tree I had removed. Moon had a beautiful Maple and it was on sale! Everyone was very knowledgeable. The day I got there was a Alesha's first day working there. She helped me to find a sales person and asked if she could tag along with us. She was so nice and really made it fun to look for my Maple tree. Although they somehow forgot to deliver my tree the day it was promised. They apologized for the mistake and My Tree was delivered the next day with no problems. The crew was fast and the tree was very healthy. We bought 11 trees from Moon Valley. The specimens were in good health, proved resilient so far (4 months) and are looking beautiful and strong this spring We have one tree that is showing signs of distress, so Richard Abate, the arborist, came out to our place. So much knowledge! How great it is to talk to knowledgeable professionals when dealing with big ticket items that are delicate and need to be cared for conscientiously. Richard was honest, straightforward, patient to teach a neophyte like me, and went beyond what was strictly necessary for the problem for which he came out. I don't think many nurseries keep someone like Richard on staff. For this reason I will use Moon again. read more

The team of Steve, Taylor, Paul, and Nico at this location worked a miracle to avoid a landscaping disaster! I'm a new plant buyer and need some help to get the correct bamboo for a project. Steve was able to explain the differences in sizes of available items, the pricing (why they were different) and the sales prices, and went to great lengths to get them delivered immediately. Taylor and Paul were wonderful in guiding me through selection and explained why some met my needs better than others, but did not tell me which plants to choose. I had a planting job done on 11/3/23 in my front yard by Moon Valley Nurseries. Their team arrived on time. Guillermo Torres, a very courteous and helpful crew manager, started by reviewing the work with me. Under his supervision the plants were arranged just as I had wanted. The crew carried out all the steps necessary for healthy growth and the plants to thrive. I was really pleased with the final result. Clinton at the nursery, Jose on the old shrub removal, and Nico on the new shrub planting were all very professional, helpful and friendly.
