We had four trees planted, two at a time. the first two died even though we spent a lot on water bills. The trees were replanted under warranty and now one has died and one has seedily made it. Richie said they would replant the other dead tree but have not heard back from them in over a week or more. When we went there I thought this place was very good and professional. My husband Mark and I were met with a challenging situation, where two new houses were built directly in front of our property. We consulted Moon Valley to help us select privacy trees that would work with our landscape. We would like to thank Tom Powell for helping us to begin the process of selecting the first tree that will be a part of this project. After Tom visited our property, we went for an appointment at the nursery with him. It was such a pleasure to take a tour of the nursery and look at the different options, all of which Tom was very knowledgeable of. I'll leave 2 stars because scheduling a design consultation was easy and the representative that showed up was on time and polite. However, the 'design consultation' service fell very short of expectations. The rep offered no ideas or suggestions or schematics of yard design whatsoever. He basically just showed up and asked what we wanted and where we wanted to plant it. I'm not a designer so conceptually all I can say is I'd like a certain aesthetic with certain features. I was counting on the 'design consultation' to provide design ideas. Don't except anything of the sort. You must know what you want to plant and where you want to plant it. They will not design your yard for you. read more

Cole was great, he showed us trees like what we're looking at 5-6 years in growth. Then we looked at the tree in our price range, and he explained the process from digging to planting the new one. Talked about fertilizer and trimming. We both felt very comfortable with Cole. read more

Just had our new black mission fig planted today. George and his team did a great job planting it. They took about a half hour from doorbell ring to the truck loaded up and everything back in place. George was professional and told me what to expect. The end result was better than I expected. The install team gets 5 stars. The only negatives are the trees are a little pricey and the amount of trimming done to the trees. The trees are larger and more matter than available at other nurseries plus planting is included, so some of the cost difference makes sense. On the trimming, it is more extensive than I'd like. It may make transportation and planting easier, but it will reduce my fig crop for a few years. read more

This place misleads you and/or holds back on informing you as to how much work certain trees are to maintain. Their wellness check service is also unreliable. If you're having issues with your trees, expect to wait weeks. If they show up and you're not home, they will leave (even after you've already told them that you won't be home and that they are still allowed to enter the yard). It started out so promising, but we have major regrets in our decision to buy trees from here. read more

We had a terrible tree in our courtyard. We needed to replace it with a tree which would give us some shade in mid morning and early afternoon. Our sales professional Mark Miserendino suggested a olive tree that was large and after about 2 years it will be gorgeous !!! He came out to inspect the site as it was not a easy location to plant, The planting crew called at 6am. Digging was 50% done as we had to remove that nasty tree. The crane arrived by 8am and the new tree was in the ground and watered by 9:30. What a good job! With the new tree we feel that our property valve has been enhanced as great deal and the cleaning up will be so much easier than cleaning up after that nasty tree read more

When visiting the site, I was amazed at the huge property and the large variety of tree types as awell as tree sizes. I was guided through many rows of trees with my guide pointing out various properties of tree types. When I made my selection, arrangements were easily made to have the tree planted on my property within a few weeks. I'm glad I decided to stop by moonvalley to check out trees before purchasing them from anywhere else. I was greeted by Tom Powell who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He really made me feel comfortable and see the benefits and superiority of moon valley trees. The trees were beautiful and producing tons of fruit so you really get what you pay for. We decided 7 fruit trees for our yard and picked our favorites. We wanted a couple more trees but were unsure if we had enough room, Tom was gratuitous enough to come to our home for a consultation and we ultimately added two more. Everything has exceeded our expectations, from shopping for our trees to planting our trees. We first walked in and we're so impressed with the selection of trees, and on top of that, we were welcomed with friendly smiles. Jake and his coworker drove us around to shop for our trees, advising us which trees would do best in the area. We actually had our minds set on the Shumard Oak, but after hearing a little bit more about what we wanted for our yard, Jake advised us to get the Bonita Ash -- and we couldn't be happier with it! Brian and his team came to plant our trees today (we got three!) and they were quick, neat, and kind. Brian talked us through what they did to prep the trees for the summer and how to water and take care of our trees, and what to expect from them throughout their first year in the ground. We even asked him for his opinion on the tree in the front of our house (that came with our home) because we had some concerns and he answered our questions and taught us what to look out for -- definitely a knowledgeable team from sales to delivery/planting. Every step of the way, we were given phone numbers and contacts so we could reach out to ask questions and we felt that everyone was so helpful and willing to spread their knowledge and open to our questions. Beautiful and wide selection of trees and plants. They come in different sizes. Prices are too expensive for me to put in our garden. I'm saying expensive because if I compare it to big box stores it's like comparing $39.99 to hundreds up to a few thousands in this nursery. Unless you are into commercial landscaping or you don't have the time in your hands and want something done professionally and instantly where money is no object then this is the place for you. Customer service is top notch by the way in which I was already expecting when we called before coming in to look at citrus varieties and inquire about planting them. Their plants also come with a couple of years warranty no questions asked for a few hundred dollars as what we were told. George and his crew showed up timely with two beautiful Raywood Ash trees to plant in my front yard. George called ahead of time and let me know his eta. 5 guys showed up and got straight to work. I was expecting them to show with a backhoe, but nope. These hard working guys dug with shovels and a hammer drill. These were not little holes to dig either. No large equipment was great because that means nothing was disturbed with tire tracks. They quickly planted the trees and cleaned up everything. George gave us thorough instructions on how to care for our new trees and off they went. I couldn't be happier with the service these guys provided. Jacob and his crew did a great job installing our two southern oaks. They carefully navigated the existing plants and did no damage to the turf they had to get the large trees across. After install they cleaned the area, leaving no trace that they had even been there (with the exception of the well planted trees). With the triple digit heat this year we decided to take a break from doing it ourselves and hired Moon Valley to complete the project. Our adventure to Moon Valley Nurseries all started with a nasty letter by our HOA saying we needed MORE desert landscape in our yard. We had always driven by Moon Valley Nursey, but living Green Valley thought it was too far to shop. Well, we will never say that again as this will be the ONLY PLACE WE WILL SHOP from now on!!!!!!!!! First, hands down my wife and I felt very well taken care of throughout the whole experience of buying and delivering the trees from Moon Valley Nurseries. Without a doubt it is a family atmosphere with a no pressure to purchase. We felt very fortunate and blessed to have been paired with Carlos whose knowledge and skill of all foliage, trees, and cacti. We were super impressed by their selection, quality, and variety of all the native plants and cacti. They all had a great appearance and looked vibrant and green. All had some sign of new growth and were strong and healthy. An extremely well-organized nursery with multifarious plants and trees arranged by type and size. Our ride with sales rep Carlos around the nursery to select our trees and plants was educational and entertaining as he made us feel relax about the whole process. We ask a plethora of questions which he answered without any issues. On delivery day, the crew which was led by Jeremy arrived early this week during 100 + temperature to plant the three trees on the property. Jeremy and the Moon Vally Nurseries Team were Awesome as they took a lot of pride in their work and was very responsive to any issues with the planting of the trees. I highly recommend this crew. I cannot say this enough: Jeremy and his team were superb. They were able to turn the place into a wonderful oasis within an hour. The final product was amazing. It's night and day from what it was before. We've received lots of compliments. They've exceeded our expectations. Our yard looks phenomenal.
