Frustrated, I turned to Yelp again for help. I was hesitant on using the original roofing company from 3 years ago for this repair because I had some thoughts that they may not have done a good job during that first repair. Four Peaks Roofing was fast to answer in my time of need and I was able to get someone to come check out my issue same day. Jorge ended up coming out and I relayed my concerns to him. I couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous person than him. When he was inside my home, without anyone prompting him, he took off his shoes while walking around. My family and I have a "no shoes while inside the house" rule but I never ask any outside vendors to abide by it for their convenience and safety. He was the first outside vendor to do this (again, without anyone asking him to!) and I really needed to highlight this as this was exceptional and beyond thoughtful. After Jorge was done inside, he went back outside and got onto my roof to start inspecting. He took his time and came down with pictures to show Hubby and I when he was done. He eased my concerns and said that the sealing from 3 years ago deteriorated with time. The previous roofer did what needed to be done at the time and it's just the brutal summers that just destroys everything so quickly. Jorge encouraged me to get in contact with the previous roofer to see if I can work something out with them and continued to write up an estimate for us if we wanted to go with him. He went out of his way to look out for us and I wish there was more people like him out in the world. I did contact the previous roofer and ended going with them as they worked out something with me that I couldn't refuse. This inspector that came out also reiterated the same things Jorge went over so I was relieved that these 2 different individuals were in agreement on the same things. Even though I ended up not doing this project with Four Peaks Roofing, this exceptional experience will guarantee me coming back here for my next project.

I check obviously for plenty of good reviews. I'm looking for professionalism, timeliness, pride in workmanship, and just overall customer satisfaction. L and R past the the reviews. Plenty of people seem satisfied. The next thing is, I check their website if they have one. Most businesses do now have some kind of online presence. Theirs was very smooth and easy to navigate. I requested a quote online, and in about 24 hours got a response. The owner, Luis, came out, climbed the roof, gave me a rundown of what to expect, should I use their services, and told me they would not contact me again or try to pressure me. They certainly followed through on that. They did send a quote. Their website makes it very easy to accept the quote and has finance options. Their contract is laid out very straightforward, full disclosure. Nothing hidden. In this online business world, where people expect more online transactional capability, you just expect businesses to offer that. But many don't, particularly in the contracting world. So, anyone who is attentive to making it easy to transact online is very focused on their business, in my experience. It's just another sign of professionalism and tells me that probably they will also be attentive during the actual construction process. That's just my general experience. It does not always hold true. But in this case, it did. After the HOA approval, I decided to use them for the roof replacement. Costs were in line with about what everyone else is charging. I paid the 50% down, and got a call from Victor the foreman to schedule replacement. They were very accommodating and got busy. There was a minor hiccup, but not their fault. The supplier delivered the wrong tiles. I'm sure that caused a bit of stress for Victor, because they have plenty of jobs scheduled. Anyway, the day after the day they were supposed to do the work, the new tiles were delivered. And then the following Monday, the tiles were loaded onto the roof. The next day they were laid and completed at the same day. I'm no roofing expert, but have some common sense. I climbed the roof before they laid the tiles just to check out their work. All the flashings were very nicely placed. Everything seemed to be high-quality. The underlayment was very nicely laid. And, each day they cleaned up pretty well. When the work was completed, they cleaned up better than I had the yard cleaned up. Victor very professional. If I need any maintenance on the roof, I definitely would consider L & R again. However, I suspect the roof will out last me and my wife.

Ryan is incredibly concerned about quality and used the best products on the market. He lived with his quote and there were no "surprise" costs that seems do endemic to the industry. Our roof has a 30 year materials warranty and a 25 year warranty for labor. Pretty sure I will be going out feet first before that time is up. I wanted something that would last and was willing to pay for the best. I could have probably gotten it done somewhat cheaper, but then you have to worry about what corners are being cut. Then I walked around our property to pick up any stray roofing material. That's when I discovered 2 pillar cactus were missing from my front yard. When I walked to where they'd been growing, I found a mound of gravel. Upon brushing the gravel aside, I saw the broken stumps of my 2 cacti. They'd likely been knocked over when roofing material was tossed from the roof. Did the crew think I wouldn't notice I was missing a tall cactus? When Nick/project mgr., came for a walk-through I told him and he said, "I won't tell the company & I'll buy a replacement at Lowe's and plant it myself." I told him I appreciated it... and then waited and waited. A few months later I texted Nick asking when I might get my replacement cactus; he said he was on the other side of town working on roofs, but he'd get to it. Well, it's been over 9 months! I've since bought a cactus and replanted it myself. I realize accidents happen but at least have the courtesy to say, "Hey, sorry, we knocked over your cactus." I'd have been okay with that. As for Nick, the project manager, I took you for your word and you didn't follow through. I recommend that if something similar happens to you, call the company directly to get results. I recommended Brown Roofing. Brown Roofing came and looked at her roof, and said that everything looked like it was a RECENT roofing job. They recommended that she find the paperwork (and warranty), and get the roofers back out that did her new roof. We helped her find the paperwork. The previous roofers gave her a 3 year warranty (WHO in the roofing business only gives a 3 year warranty?!?!) It had been 3 years and one month since her new roof was installed. Long story - but the original roofers were total jerks. AND... they would not come back out (three no-shows) to fix her roof, even though she was willing to pay. We called Brown Roofing to come back out and do the repairs. She realized her roof was out of warranty, and she was willing to pay. She just wanted the water to stop coming through her air returns! Brown Roofing came to her house, did the repairs, and DID NOT charge her!! She insisted on paying them, as they did not do the original roof. They said the repairs were minor, and they were happy to help. These folks are just GOOD, honest, kind people. And, I still think they are an EXCELLENT roofing company. We have had our roof for eight years now - no leaks, no problems. I will continue to recommend this company to my friends and neighbors.

That is not the case here, Alison with Paragon Exteriors was AWESOME!! She was very clear and helpful during the entire process. In addition she was present every step of the way from the insurance inspectors visit to the various items we had fixed including the roof in order to ensure all of the work was being completed up to her high standards. My singles were not impact resistant so the insurance company wouldn't allot funds to upgrade but despite this she was able to add that in at no additional cost to me. We had new gutters and some minor painting and patchwork which were all completed quickly and look wonderful, just like the roof. If you're in need of a roof or exterior repairs look no further!!
