Bike is back on the road, looking good once again, thanks to Moonbeam Scooters.
    Just J.

My 150cc Chinese scooter was stolen. Within a few weeks of filing a police report the cops recovered my bike. The starter, alarm and lock set had been damaged and the bike had been dropped. My insurance company told me to find a shop that would work with them to do the repairs and body work. Moonbeam was recommended to me by someone in my scooter group. I was told that they really know how to work on China bikes and that is the primary thing they do. I called them first. Even though they'd never worked with an insurance company before they had no problems meeting with my adjustor, going over the repairs needed, and coming up with a fair estimate. It can be challenging to find a knowledgeable shop that will work on Chinese scooters. The guys at Moonbeam were extremely nice and professional. I have been to many motorcycle and scooter mechanics in the area (see my other reviews) and these guys seem to have it together as far as 4 stroke Chinese scooter repair goes. I was happy with how my bike looked once they were finished with it. It took a bit longer than I was told it would take but they had to wait on some parts, which isn't so much their fault, that happens. The other things I have had some issues with upon getting the bike back was that the seat had been sliced and instead of replacing it or putting on a seat cover, they glued the rips in the seat and of course now it's coming unglued. Also, the scooter doesn't idle as strong as it used to and stalls out quite often. This stalling problem could just be a matter of turning a screw or doing some minor adjustments, but I'm not sure what those adjustments are, so for now I just start it back up when it dies at every other light and call it good. Despite these minor things, I'd take my scooter there again for sure. They have a 2 stroke mechanic there too so it probably won't be long before I'm back there with my other bike. I give Moonbeam 4 out 5 stars and encourage you to pay them a visit next time you need some help with scoot.

This is the kind of business I would consider my family

Waited a week for the guy after all the excuses because he sounded like an honest man. He tells me…read morethe tow truck will come tomorrow and then shows up out of no where 30minutes later. He then tried to bait and switch on the payment after offering $250. The tow truck driver "only has a check." Recycling companies are notorious for paying with check that bounce. All they need as the title signed and they got all the leverage. He said "just take picture of my truck" which I could not find the company on google maps. The guy acts like he is leaving then bust out $225 cash and said that's all he can I offer. I say no the offer is $250. He then pretends to leave again and then comes back with an offer of $225 plus $25 check but at this rate all trust is gone. Every one of these companies use the same shady tactics. Edit: updated with google review response. My phone records all calls and gives a transcript of the conversation as well. I told you how companies like peddle offer checks and they end up bouncing and you said that's fine cause we pay cash. Look at the sass and disrespect in his response. This looks like a dishonest man caught in a lie to me. This is the man y'all are doing business with. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Quite a sale right? It was recommended that purchased extra things including, a hose clamp vise and extra coolant and other things I might need. $800 dollars later, in walked away from Autozone prepared to complete this job. I was able to complete the job without using some of the coolant and the extra tools. Today I attempted to return an extra thermostat, and the hose clamp tool that I didn't use. Manger Chris L. L told that I used the item. Despite the fact that it was new, my hoses had been switched to 8mm Phillips head. There was no attempt or desire to help me or come to a compromise. I pleaded than clearly I purchased extra things with the confidence that I would return them should I not need them. I said; as a manager this feels like an exception opportunity, he said I needed the packaging. I pleaded again saying I spent over $800 with this project with the extra trips, all to Autozone. He condescendingly asked if I needed anything else. This town is full of auto parts stores. What a terrible way to lose a life long customer for $20. God bless you, Chris. I hope you make better decisions go forward when it comes to taking care of the customers who take care of you.
