The only thing more embarrassing than riding a scooter, is walking one when it breaks down. This place is the best dealership and repair shop in town. My sales guy Chris, was extremely knowledgable, as was Sean, and this mysterious hippy looking dude that came out to describe a part to another customer that was there when I was and he was throwing out mechanical descriptions to the inner workings of scooters that sounded like he was a member of the engineering staff on board the Star ship enterprise (he knew his stuff!) About the Business: Over the phone: Gruff, and to the point. Like soup-nazi of scooters. Parking: Lock your car doors, and gentlemen, leave the miniskirts and high heels at home, this isn't the best of neighborhoods. The waiting room is convenient, and there's always a movie on, but you won't be needing it, these guys are on point. That said, I got a brand new scooter, for the going market rate, they didn't try and hassle me out of more money, or gimmicks, and a 90-day warranty on the engine. They also gave me a recommended maintenance schedule, filled out all of the paper work that I need, and instructions on the upgraded features of the "bike" Excellent pricing, and top-notch service! And if anything does go wrong with my baby, this is the only shop in town that I'd trust. You can't go wrong, they're the best. read more

This scooter shop is conveniently located just outside of downtown Las Vegas on Main Street. The people who work there are very friendly and straight forward. Their prices are fair, and their service is quick. I had a 50cc Taotao that had been sitting in storage for years. They were able to get it running and changed the battery and carburetor and installed replacement used rear view mirrors for me for $219. I turned the scooter in to them late on a Saturday and received it back from them on the following Tuesday. I highly recommend this small business. read more

My 150cc Chinese scooter was stolen. Within a few weeks of filing a police report the cops recovered my bike. The starter, alarm and lock set had been damaged and the bike had been dropped. My insurance company told me to find a shop that would work with them to do the repairs and body work. Moonbeam was recommended to me by someone in my scooter group. I was told that they really know how to work on China bikes and that is the primary thing they do. I called them first. Even though they'd never worked with an insurance company before they had no problems meeting with my adjustor, going over the repairs needed, and coming up with a fair estimate. It can be challenging to find a knowledgeable shop that will work on Chinese scooters. The guys at Moonbeam were extremely nice and professional. I have been to many motorcycle and scooter mechanics in the area (see my other reviews) and these guys seem to have it together as far as 4 stroke Chinese scooter repair goes. I was happy with how my bike looked once they were finished with it. It took a bit longer than I was told it would take but they had to wait on some parts, which isn't so much their fault, that happens. The other things I have had some issues with upon getting the bike back was that the seat had been sliced and instead of replacing it or putting on a seat cover, they glued the rips in the seat and of course now it's coming unglued. Also, the scooter doesn't idle as strong as it used to and stalls out quite often. This stalling problem could just be a matter of turning a screw or doing some minor adjustments, but I'm not sure what those adjustments are, so for now I just start it back up when it dies at every other light and call it good. Despite these minor things, I'd take my scooter there again for sure. They have a 2 stroke mechanic there too so it probably won't be long before I'm back there with my other bike. I give Moonbeam 4 out 5 stars and encourage you to pay them a visit next time you need some help with scoot. read more

I trusted them until I looked at the work that they did. I waited for a few long hours to get my rings adjusted. Two on the bottom were left way too tight, two on top were way too loose. The recently replaced my oiston head as well, noticed that the main ground wire wasn't reattached at all, all in all, inept and shoddy work at best. Had air lines being used as fuel lines, and found debris in my gas tank. Two hundred dollars later all zthey said was that I had an old bike (too bad.) I fixed their bad work and changed max speed of 20 to well over 50, correctly setting the valves especially helped. read more

I dont make this stuff up, I bought a brand new scooter from them like 3 days ago, it stopped on me about 1 mile and a half from home, would not start back up, I had to push it home in 100 plus degree heat. Wow. These guys are amazing. They took care of everything I needed from start to finish. Their location is amazing, like amazingly, amazing. the owner Jim is amazing and the shop guy, Steve was amazing (a little loud) but amazing. For scooter repair these are the guys to go to. This place is Not one to Fix your scooter. They Will charge You and Find something else to Break. Do Not Go Here unless You want to spend thousands of dollars and Never get your bike actually fixed. The Owner Yells at You because of their Incompetent Workmanship and Poor Mechanical Abilities. Don't Waste Your Time and Money at this place. They Employ one of the Stupidest People on Planet Earth (Chris). This Inept Numbskull Doesn't Know his Tail End from a Hole in the ground. They send out their Best Mechanic to pick up broken down scooters while leaving the Idiot and a Car Mechanic to do the Repairs. When You Point Out their Mistakes, they Yell at You and make it out to be Your Fault. Yesterday was My Last Time to Allow these Idiots to work on my Bike. After charging Me $40 for another of their Mistakes and telling Me they Did a Complete Diagnostic Analysis of My Bike, I was sent away without lights. They could Not fix My original problem which was one They Caused and then Charged Me for (Bad Wiring Job) which lead to a dead battery for the 4th time which I of course had to pay to replace after taking them a Brand New Battery back in July... Don't Go Here, You've Been Warned. If they Gave Me back the More than $2000 I have spent with them since December 2015, I Would Still Never Go Here Again or Recommend them to Anyone. read more

Been here several times over the past two years with my little scooter, always quick, nice, reliable. Got hit by a truck, thought with the damage to the front end my little scooter was done, i was wrong, in less then two weeks, and way less then what i though it was back up and running. Today went for an oil change, at 4:30; they close at 5; no guff, total happy to see me and done with it in 20 minutes. will always return here for work and maintence. great people read more
