These guys are awesome. The guys that work there are super chill. The shop has a very relaxed vibe to it. They work hard and they work well. I road in from Los Angeles to pick up an exhaust from Cycle Gear that I ordered. My plan was to call a Lyft and have them shuttle the exhaust to a different mechanic down the street. When I mentioned this to the store employee at Cycle Gear, he told me that there's a mechanic right next door who could knock it out. He even walked me over there and introduced me to the guys. They not only agreed to install the exhaust that day, but within two hours from drop off, they were done. (Got the call as I was writing this review). I can't speak highly enough about this place.

The good reviews they have must be from close friends or family. Not sure how their work is, my bike sat in their shop nearly a month without being touched which did not upset me, it was the lack of communication and them being bothered by my concern. Reading some of these reviews I'm just glad to have got my bike back in one piece. I do not recommend this place to anyone very unprofessional and messy. This is my first, only, and hopefully last review because I'm not one to go out of my way to to shed negative light on anyone, but this was just unacceptable. Hope this helps someone and sorry to any others who experienced this there.

I got quotes from $450 to "we'll see" but there hourly rates were $150 per hour. Once I got around to calling Sam's Cycle they quoted me $300 to $400 so I asked if they had ever done these on a Harley Softail Deluxe and they said sure. I asked how long it would take and they said anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. So obviously I set up an appointment for the following morning. They said it would be done by close of business. Awesome right? This was Tuesday morning. I waited for the call to pick up the bike. Tuesday went by, Wednesday went by and Thursday morning went by! So I decided to call them Thursday afternoon. They said it was almost finished and how difficult it was to do. A lot of excuses. Right? So I asked what the total bill was and they said $763.29!!! I didn't say anything, we just went to pick it up. When we got there I (obviously) asked why it took WAY longer than 3 to 5 hrs and WHY the bill was so high. They gave many more excuses saying the hardware was wrong and the mechanic had to go to the store to get ones that fit and they had to drill (which I told them from the start) and a bunch of other excuses. I was obviously angry, I asked about a Veterans discount. They didn't offer one. And if I didn't pay they would keep the motorcycle until I either paid or they would sell it for the bill! VERY unprofessional!! I will NEVER go back!!! I gave 2 stars because they did do a fantastic job.

Cody is the guy you'll talk to and he's awesome. Chill, honest, knowledgeable, and easy to contact via email or phone. I thought I had something going on with my clutch and after testing and digging in, they found the issue was a cylinder not firing properly. Pricing is fair and I trust the work. Finding mechanics to work on bikes older than 10 years is hard enough already but what a great place motozone is to get work done. Pricing is very reasonable too. FInding a rear rotor for my 08 GL1800 isnt easy unless i want to drop $912 for an oem one. But after looking through some gently used units and going over which one would be the best Cody took the time to help check them out and advise me which one. ( i know nothing about brakes and rotors and dint want to buy something that potentially had something i couldn't recognize to be bad). So kudos for the time and effort despite how busy they are to help me make sure i purchase the right part even if its not through them. They dont price gouge anything he could have ordered it through ebay for me but told me if so there would be a 20% upcharge and was open and honest about it.
