I can't say enough great things about my experience at Moondance Bridal. Firstly, I have to give a big shout out to Courtney. She was my stylist for both my first and second appointments. Not only did she really listen to everything I had to say, including any of my anxieties and all of my preferences, but she was so knowledgeable and pulled gowns that were truly giving everything I wanted. I feel like she snatched all the gowns just right and helped give a total vision for the look! Going into the shopping experience, I was very nervous with a lot of insecurity. As a person whose body changed a lot postpartum, I wasn't sure I would find a dress that I could love and feel comfortable in. The selection at Moondance was incredible, especially compared to THREE bridal shop experiences I had in Los Angeles that had me coming back to book a second appointment at Moondance. The lines they carry are trendy, well constructed, elegant, and cool. Well worth the investment. Any of the 4 dresses I tried would have been amazing options compared to any I tried at the other shops. As a note, the shop itself is so cute and easy to find parking. The appointments feel very private, they offer water & champagne, and the accessories bar is also very nice! They feature popular brand Untamed Petals. All in all, I am so thrilled to have had a positive experience at Moondance as a plus size curvy bride. My sister helped me book a wedding dress appointment here, and I ended up buying THE DRESS here!! They do charge a booking fee and a cancelation fee just fyi! But I have to say their selection goes beyond- wide range of boho, classy, elegant, ballgown, etc. They have a small section with large mirror for you to see the dresses you try on with your group. They serve drinks and champagne so you can enjoy the whole experience! I had lots of help from Sarah (the owner) and her assistant. They were patient and super helpful in sorting out dresses that fell in my "vision" of my dream dress. They double checked my measurements when I ordered the dress, and have kept me posted on the process! Moondance Bridal offered the exact experience we were hoping for when we went searching for my sisters dress!! First, you need to make an appointment, so get that scheduled ASAP. They only have two fitting areas and so they take only two at a time, and the appointment was 90 minutes long. (My sister scheduled this, so I'm not sure if there are other options.) Fitting Areas: There are two fitting areas, that look like living rooms with a curtained space for the bride to be to try on the choices. They each have huge mirrors, and a pedastal for the bride to be, and a couch for her family/friends. Everything was very cozy in a rustic sort of way. They offered champagne, water or sparkling water for everyone when you first come in. Dresses: So this would be considered a boutique space, I'd imagine. But as small as this place is (compared to a David's Bridal type place) they had so many styles of dresses. ( These are not official names but: Lacey, with Sequins, with Beading, Satin-No details, Boho, elegant, flowy, with trains, no trains, etc.!) I was pretty impressed. There is also a small closeted area of dresses that are ready to be sold "as is" for a fraction of the price. I'm assuming retired sample dresses. Some of these need some alterations though, so keep that in mind, but they do have several to select from. Assistance: Courtney was amazing!! She was the sweetest gal who took care of my sister from start to finish and helped to make this an exciting event for my sister. She listened to my sisters budget and wants in a dress, and I think only pulled 2 dresses (out of 9) that were not what she asked for, just to have her see what they were like. She gave her plenty of time to try on each dress, and gave us plenty of time to take photos and relish in the moments. When my sister found THE dress, she took in the moment with us all, and she had my sister do " a walk down the aisle" in the shop. Then she took pictures of our group with the dress and without the dress. It was a perfect moment. Thank you for all you do Courtney!! Oh and they even have this cute photo booth in the back and you can take pictures once you are done and you get a printout with "Moondance Bridal" on it. Since my sister said yes to the dress, they got the order process done pretty quickly (they do offer rush ordering for $200 extra, if you need it quick) and then my sister got a cute goodie bag with moon inspired/bride inspired items. Courtney really did outstanding work and even though this shop is a few hours from us, it was worth the drive and we will be referring everyone who needs a bridal dress down here! read more

Being from the Bay Area, Moondance isn't exactly nearby so I called before making an appointment to ask if they carried a couple of specific dresses from a designer I was eyeing. Luckily they had all of them in store, so I made an appointment and drove down (so worth the drive). The appointment was so smooth. They have a really nice selection of dresses--it's a smaller shop but I like that it didn't feel overwhelming. You and your guests get champagne and feel welcomed right from the start. My stylist grabbed the dresses noted on my profile that I wanted to try, along with a few others she thought I might like. I tried on about 6-7 dresses in total. I fell in love with one, but I wasn't ready to say yes to the dress just yet. They gave me the option to order over the phone and ship to my house if I decided to buy later on, which is exactly what I ended up doing! So appreciative that I was able to take some time to think about my decision and be confident in my purchase, without having to drive back down! I was fortunate enough to visit Moondance Bridal yesterday, and was helped by Suzanne. Moondance has an really unique collection of dresses, with some absolutely gorgeous options. They provide a really great experience for brides, offering champagne (or water) at your arrival, and helping you in and out of each gown (ladies, let's be honest-- some dresses are just complicated). Suzanne was wonderful and made my experience really fantastic-- she was extremely helpful, completely kept my budget in mind, and she picked up on my style and preferences right away. When the dress that I liked was from their one designer that takes longer than normal to order from (because of course I'd love that one!), the owner was gracious enough to offer to split the rush fee with me if I chose to order it. While I didn't end up deciding to go that route, it was lovely of them and very much appreciated. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Moondance! Their selection itself is worth the visit, and after 4+ stores, their "experience" was probably my favorite. read more
