One of our children arrived from out of state at midnight, and since the overflow parking is five miles away, we had them get a temporary tag from the security guard and then we moved the vehicle off the property by 8am the following morning, but we were still charged a fine of $125. In addition, we paid an additional $200 to rent bedsheets and bath towels, but we had to make all of the beds ourselves when we arrived. We were given only one key for the unit although there were 8 of us staying in the unit. Also when we arrived, there was sand on the floors and in the showers, food/crumbs on the floors, and empty water bottles in two of the bedrooms. This overall experience has been stressful and unaccommodating. They don't deserve any stars and we will not be returning.

Many emails ( they won't answer any of their phone numbers and their voicemail is not setup ) later they ended up cancelling our reservation!!! I then looked for the house on places like Home to Go and VRBO and see that the weekly rate is now $2000 more than what we were under contract for!!! I now see why they did this, it was for a money grab. Now we are scrambing to find a house for our daughters softball world series, inventory is low and pricing is high ( which is why we booked 11 months in advance ) Again, Christine Pettys, their controller, will not get on a call, i asked for someone in management and received zero response to that request. I asked for copies of my contract, their cancellation policy ( when they cancel ) and again, zero response. Please, don't have the same experience we had. This is an extremely bad business practice, coming back and asking for more money ( for less days ) then cancelling when you protest. Then to not discuss on a call is even worse. I wait at least 3-5 days to write a review to check my own mood, hunger, fatigue, but nope it was just bad vibes from all the employees and Betsy takes the cake! We thought the condo, bathrooms and balcony were a decent size. The condo would comfortably fit 4 adults. The red leather furniture has been replaced with boring beige leather furniture. The furniture is a great quality, I'm just not a beige fan. - The kitchen light didn't work when we arrived, and I'm pretty sure that's an ongoing problem mentioned in other reviews. There are no pot holders to remove hot pans from the stove. The dishwasher falls out of the cabinet when trying to load it. The cleaning service that charges $180 left a dirty cloth on our shower. The dishes in the cabinet had food and lipstick on them. The ice maker makes about 30 ice cubes a day. It's very slow which is a problem on a hot day. - We did not love the gate codes. They have Gate codes for the parking deck and also the beach gate. I've never stayed anywhere else that had these extra annoying measures. And the Vacasa rep was almost laughing at our inconvenience on the phone when we were basically stuck in the one way drive to the parking deck and the code wouldn't work. The elevators and entry ways smell like urine/stench. - So, overall I would say we liked Twin Palms, but we are disappointed that Vacasa controls the entire building. Vacasa prides themselves in not offering any discounts (we found this out when we asked if they do military veteran discounts, which they don't) but they don't provide a property upkeep and cleanliness that warrants the pridefulness. * Forgot to mention the backward water hook ups to the faucets, the terrible mattress that makes you feel like you're rolling down hill and the sliding doors that do not slide. * Pros : the representatives will text you instead of having to sit on hold for a call. *
