12/5/2025 Ate list: Cheeseburger - 8.6 So Moonlit in Dormont is already great and well respected in our house. We were in Sewickley for their Light Up Night on Friday and Moonlit Burgers had an outdoor stand serving burgers outside at their storefront. For a burger being stored in a like "Hot Sleeve," it was significantly better than a lot of burgers I've had. Very impressed, cool location, definitely want to visit again!

We have waited for this location very patiently for some time and it was worth the wait! What a joy it is to visit with the good eats and friendly staff. Always busy with our several visits yet so efficient service. The spot is clean, well cared for, and we will be back .. maybe like tomorrow! lol We enjoy sharing a triple moonlit burger and basket of fries and of course a Turner's tea! Their fries are semi leaning McDonald's shoestring in the most delightful way. Also have enjoyed a brew on tap, and cannot wait to try a boozy or non-boozy shake next time!

Moonlit had been one of our favorite smash burgers in the city since they were doing pop ups in east liberty. We have been to every location and have been very anxiously awaiting this location to open as it is closest to our home. We went on the opening weekend and have been back again a second time. It is just as good as we remember! The burgers are great and the buns are delicious too. The fries are always crispy and the portion is generous. Service was a little slow the first time, but to be expected on opening weekend!! The second time was nice and fast! They had coloring pages for our boys to do while we waited for our food and the staff have been really kind and accommodating to our littles. The restaurant is decorated nicely, the bathroom was clean, and we are looking forward to our next burger! Thanks for bringing moonlit north!!

First time visiting the new location here! (been to Dormont) The staff here is so welcoming and very swift with checking on you. The food came within 2 minutes. We took the last table it was busy but again the staff pays attention to details of every table here and looking at the floors. They keep it very clean. The one blonde woman working was very personable and sweet to all tables here as I watched her interactions. I got The Big Mick and it has a lot of different flavors you get from all that's on it. I love a good smash burger. We will be back! Maybe on a weekday and not a Friday evening when finding street parking is a challenge.

Been following the Moonlit story for several years now and super excited to have this new location in Sewickley opening up! Food is excellent and on par with each of the other locations. Staff are friendly and efficient in getting the large crowds through the line and seated with ease. The smash burgers are the main draw for me, but they have plenty of sides, drinks and shakes. Can't wait to come back as this is our closest location by 30+ minutes.

First chance to visit this new location. We were there in the snow and late lunch time so the place was pretty empty. The lines I've seen on a typical Saturday during lunch are a testament to this restaurant's popularity. We ordered (2) bacon cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, a chicken sandwich and fries and four bottles of soda. $73 seems so steep for burgers and fries but these guys do it better then most so it's worth it!! The location is bright and beautiful and all new!! The food is well made and fresh! The rolls are always fresh and the staff is super friendly and answered our questions happily!! Thank you for a great experience Moonlit Sewickley!!

We got an online order and ate in the car. The staff was friendly. The restaurant is beautiful and modern. The burgers are fantastic. I really dislike the fries because they are shoestring. They were also overcooked and cold. The prices seem fair, but it would be better if the burger came with fries.

I went back within a week....i had to try the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the chili cheese fries. The sandwich was delicious..a good crispy coating with wonderful flavor. BUT, the star of the show were the chili cheese fries. The chili is so tasty! I intend to go back and ask them to put the chili on my burger! We topped it off with a chocolate shake....excellent! Prices are very reasonable and food comes out quickly. Service is excellent....but I do feel they can get a bit carried away with not taking ur order until they are assured there will be an open table for your party....seems like they are adding more work for themselves.

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner at moonlit in sewickley. Who is the particular busy night in the staff? Did a really good job making sure the seating was organized. Wife had the classic and I had the double bacon. Both were delicious! We also had fries and cheese... the cheese was the star! We also had two adult drinks, both were solid. We plan on coming back with our children who I think we're really enjoy this places

Ate dinner here on a Saturday evening when it was busy enough the owner kept a waiting list. After 15 minutes we got a text that we could join the line to order, and a table was waiting for us outside. Food was brought to us quickly, but we had to get our own napkins, plasticware, and condiments. Also the milkshake that was ready later. The staff will clear the table when you're done. We paid about $20 per person for 2 burgers, 1 side of shoestring fries (feeds 2-4 people depending on your appetite), 1 strawberry milkshake (thick, and not too big), plus tip. Food was good. It's nice to have another option for dinner in the evening in the village, although I suspect they will be hurting for space when the weather isn't as pleasant as it was tonight.

My first visit to Moonlit Burgers....will be the first of MANY!! We were welcomed as soon as we walked in. The staff made suggestions. We got two single burgers and shared fries. They were perfect smash burgers with the onions and special sauce taking it to another level. The shoestring fries were great also with plenty to share between the two of us. We had to get dessert and we tried the chocolate soft serve which had a very rich chocolate flavor and the ABSOLUTE BEST STRAWBERRY SHAKE of my LIFE! It had real chunks of strawberries, creamy and she was thick and of course topped with whip cream. I will be dreaming of that shake until I have another! We will definitely be going back and can see this as a perfect lunch the day after drinking a little too much lol

Downey's House provided the local spot I needed. An ice cold Yuengling on draft went down very well, and while I didn't find pierogis on the menu, I settled for a phenomenal bowl of spaghetti & meatballs. Local marinara & meatballs made with the same recipe of the old Main Hotel that was in Carnegie for nearly 100 years. That bowl of pasta was SCRUMPTIOUS and just what I was after. I even talked my lovely wife into doing up her salad 'Pittsburgh style', which means adorning the salad with fries. And yes, it's as good as it sounds. Thrown in a protein like grilled chicken and that is a banger of a meal. Great dining area with a square-shaped bar and TVs with sight-lines in any direction. I was hungry, but I was also anxious to get home after a long day. I walked in and ordered a craft draft beer and placed an order for a burger to go. Sidelines has a great selection of craft drafts, so I give that part of their pub 5 stars! Their fresh cut fries are also delicious, and deserve a 5-star review! That said, the burger was big but just okay in flavor. What bothered me most is that when I looked at my bill, they tacked on an extra $1 for a "to go" order. $1 isn't going to make or break someone, and I understand an extra charge if someone just orders food to go. In my case, I was a sit-down customer with the beer while I was waiting for a burger and fries in a bag. I guess if I had ordered on a plate, I could have taken a few bites at my seat and then asked for a to go container for my leftovers? I just felt as though I was not appreciated as a customer. They can have the $1, but I most likely will avoid this place going forward. I just don't get the rationale behind charging a customer extra money even if they order a pricey adult beverage enjoyed at a table or bar.

(There is also free street parking but you may have to drive around a bit to find a open spot) We had a table of 6 dining here around 5pm on a Friday. We met part of our group there, and they were already seated, so I don't believe waiting for a table was an issue (even for a party of 6). Once seated, our waiter was prompt and attentive and we also had who I assume to be a manager check-in with us. So no complaints about service. Our waiter took our drink order, appetizer order, food order and provided refills on drinks promptly/reasonably. All of our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals but my wife had the shrimp fajita and I had the rodeo burger (without BBQ sauce, I just wasn't in the mood for BBQ sauce but all of the other toppings sounded yummy - Gouda cheese, bacon, crispy fried onion, and chipotle aioli). Both are pictured. Overall, I'd recommend going here if you aren't bothered by street parking. The service, atmosphere, and food were solid.
