The food was super good and the service was great but the only issue I have is how loud it is there. The noise level just felt like people were talking more louder than usual but I can't tell if it's just the main room that was giving off an echo vibe. The place was clean and it's a bit pricey. The 9th ward salad is great, has a good flavor and wasn't dry. The kid's Mac n cheese was lovely too, def a good size for being a kid's meal. Would be back but to try for another seating area. Every recommendation she made was spot on. The food was incredible, and Alyssa's bubbly personality made the whole experience even better. Came in at 9:45pm off a flight from the west coast and this place showed up here and didn't disappoint. We eat at many ars/restaurants in LA and this place is totally cool. Great food selection - we over ordered as the portions are huge. We got the nachos, amazing with real cheese everywhere, the pretzel, HUGE and delicious and the walnut salad which was exactly as it should be and didn't disappoint either. They have a full menu of basic bar foods (burgers, wings, nachos, etc,) and a few hearty meals such as pot roast, pierogis and fish & chips. Really impressed with the 9th Ward salad - salmon was perfectly cooked and the kale salad was very fresh - complemented by apple and blackberries. My husband and I met friends here recently and were pleasantly surprised by the food here! It was our first time so we tried a few things. Our table shared the fried pickles and the fried mozzarella. The fried pickles are definitely homemade -- both batter and the actual pickles. The chipotle ranch didn't have a super strong flavor but their ranch dressing in general is perfection. My husband had wings and Cajun fries and loved both. Our friends ordered burgers and raved about them. I love that you can make any salad into a wrap -- I ordered a Cobb salad wrap and it was amazing. You are greeted at the door, and ask seat preference. I was solo for a Cubs road game, so I sat at the bar. Just know when you walk in, this place is huge, but in a great way! Very spacious, so you don't feel crowded. A lot of beers on tap, so you'll enjoy finding one you like. They also do a "brewery of the month" where they highlight different breweries around the local areas. I loved the wings!!! They made them perfect (Fried crispy flats only)! I have never been to this establishment before the bar. Staff seemed friendly greeted me soon after arrival the bar seemed relatively busy for a Wednesday afternoon. It took some effort on my part to gain eye contact, and get someone to bring me a menu .I Ordered their happy hour copper ale. Beer was not cold. Maybe its supposed to be served slight chilled, not sure. I did notice the beer immediately lost its head before she could give it to me.. strong indication of a none beer ready glass. Meaning soap or some other contaminant present in the glass. People reading this are probably thinking what a douche for writing this, but if a beer is not allowed to release its gases by forming the head, you end up drinking them and becoming bloated for the remainder of your evening, which ruins a meal, and a night out. After drinking my beer, I noticed bartenders and wait staff palming the top of glasses as they handed them to the customers (including my beverages)in addition to that they were using the glass wire to scoop the ice out of the ice bin. instead of an ice scooper.When I wanted to cash out and leave and it took 13 minutes to get my check and then they overcharged me for a happy hour beverage, and needed to correct it. Oddly enough, as I waited for my check, another couple arrived. I offered my seats since I was leaving and I jokingly shared with them. How long I have been waiting for the check. they then said they come there often and have come to expect the long wait to get their food the inaccuracy on the check and how long it takes to leave. We're from out of town so this was our first time coming here. We were immediately seated at a two seater high top table, which is actually my favorite kind of table. The place is really nice and cozy inside. Our server was training a young woman who was super pleasant and helpful. We ordered two beers. The one I ordered was out so our server, Dave T gave me a small sample of something he thought I might like. I ended up ordering something else. I really appreciated that. It was really helpful and it's always so thoughtful when that's done. We ordered the seitan wings and the build your own nachos. We then ordered two more beers. Everything was excellent. We went in not being super hungry so we did get some of our food to go. Dave got us a bag and bagged the food boxes up for us. The restaurant is beautiful--very large interior with a spacious bar and lots of good seating. The menu is pretty extensive as well. To start, we ordered a plate of the truffalo fries. The fries were swimming in buffalo sauce and were soggy by the time they arrived to our table. My friend ordered a drink which she did not care for either. I ordered the Blast Pig Burgher for my entree, and I enjoyed it! The candied jalapeños had a great flavor, and the bacon was very tasty too. The burger was smaller than the bun, but it was well cooked. My friend ordered the butternut squash ravioli, which had a nice crisp but not nearly enough filling. I came here for brunch with one of my friends. We ordered the steak and eggs and a glass of orange juice. The orange juice came with what appeared to be dust and/or mold. When the steak and eggs came, there was strands of long HAIR within the eggs as I cut through. The manager was not apologetic whatsoever, and he had the nerve to come over and tell me I can't take my drink to go. I would not recommend this place.
