    Pulled BBQ Sandwich, chicken
    Ben F.

I'm a little surprised at the 3.5 stars rating. It's at least a 4... Good food, decent beverage selection. We went on a Thursday night. Parking lot was packed- but there was one high-top table when we walked in. We grabbed it. Loud bar/pub atmosphere- I'm sure sporting events are fun here. Big bar on one side and 'family' seating on the other with warnings for the under 21's to not cross the border. I got the half rack of ribs and my partner got the pulled chicken sandwich. Also beers. The food arrived fast: nice thing about bbq is that it has to be already prepared so they just have to plate it. The half rack was huge. 6 big ribs, Cesar salad and fries were my sides. So much food. Glad I got the salad. I didn't try the pulled chicken but she got the Mac and cheese as a side and that was really good. Haven't had decent restaurant Mac and cheese in a while. I'd like to know what they make in-house here. The fries felt bought-in...the salad was...good but...uniform? Like maybe out of a bag? I'm prepared to be wrong about that. The barbecue was good. The ' spicy' sauce was sweet and not vey spicy and the 'sweet' sauce was kind of boring: bbq sauces need work. Add a mustard based sauce? All in all we loved it and will definitely go back. $75 all in with tip for two people.

I was craving BBQ, and this spot did not disappoint. The prices are fair, the service is quick and friendly, and the ambiance is just right. I'd definitely come back next time I'm craving BBQ.

We've passed this place many times while driving on 196th. Finally decided to stop in and glad we did. We had the prime rib sandwich and the Boz which were both fully stacked and delicious! Meats were smoked perfectly. Many choices of sides too. Prices were reasonable for what you get. We enjoyed it and will come again. Service: Great! Fast and friendly even though the place was pretty busy. (Not sure what the motivated the earlier review but note we're non white as well as many other customers. We felt welcome and cared for) Ambience: went for lunch. Dive bar feel but still clean and orderly. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Justice you're a great employee. They're lucky to have you. I hope many to come. See you soon.

First time here and will definitely not be the last, food was delicious! Everything was moist and tender, our server was really sweet and nice and took good care of us. Place was very cozy and country style. Highly recommended! Don't come here if you are a Vegetarian lol

3 meat combo with brisket, pulled chicken and one each of their sausage links, Mac and cheese/potato salad and warm cornbread.

Great food, great service, excellent happy hour. I like the full bottles of spicy and sweet bbq sauce, always going heavy on the spicy, it's got a perfect kick.

Wings, ribs and sides. Corn bread and greens are yummy.

Love this place! It's a great atmosphere if you like a dive bar feel. The service is good, sides are excellent and the bbq is pretty good. Nice selection of beer and spirits.

    Nachos (happy hour portion)

A few colleagues and I came by on a Wednesday night to find that we made it to their closing happy hour window. We ordered nachos and poutine from the happy hour menu (smaller portions) and then a couple meat combos to share between us all. My end of the table shared a 3-meat combo with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork for our meat choices, and then coleslaw and baked beans as our side, and the meal came with a slice of cornbread and some whipped butter. The happy hour items were pretty great and enough for six people to share despite the smaller portions than their regular menu. The meat was also very tender on the combo platter and I enjoyed having sauces available at the table because I am a sauce girl - the ribs were my favorite as they were fall-off-the-bone tender. The only things I didn't love were the coleslaw and baked beans - there was not really any flavor in either, just some tossed cabbage and wet beans. The cornbread was also plain and dry (the butter helped), so I'd say don't get your hopes up for any sides and just focus on the meats if you get a meat combo. This was my first time here so I can't gauge whether this was a normal crowd to staff member ratio but we didn't see our server more than the times it took for her to bring our food and have us pay, so we got pretty thirsty by the end of our meal having asked for water refills and never getting any. Overall I'd give 4 stars for the food but 3 for service. There was also a man dressed as a pirate who stood in the parking lot and silently watched us walk to our cars, which was.. uncomfortable.

    Sriracha-Honey Brussel Sprouts

My brother wanted to go here for his birthday which we told them about and they didn't acknowledge it at all which was disappointing....no free dessert or anything! Docking stars due to service. The waitress pretty much ignored us and we were the only group in there besides a group of adults getting drunk with their children sitting at a separate table. The venue is pretty small and divey. Happy hour is Monday-Friday 3-5pm & 8-close Sriracha honey brussel sprouts: 10/10! These were amazing! If you love sweet and savory, try them! I'd definitely order them again. $7 2 bbq sliders w/fries: 8/10. I appreciate they don't put sauce on them and let you sauce it up yourself. This was a lot of food for the hh price but nothing special. Extra points for the sauces! $8

Three meat plate, with Brisket, ribs and pulled pork.

Ask the Community - Moonshine BBQ

Is there cinnamon in the BBQ sauce? (I know this is uncommon, but after finding one bottle with it, an allergic friend understandably needs to ask every-time)

There is no cinnamon in the bbq sauce.

    Which menu items are gluten-free?

Brisket, chicken, and pork are gluten free. BBQ sauces are gluten free, also there is gluten free bread for sandwiches and burgers.

If I want more cornbread, can I sub one of my sides for extra? Like if I want sweet potato fries and want extra cornbread? Or can I buy more cornbread?

    Yes and yes!

Do they have a kids menu?

    Yes

    Do they take American Express?

    Yes, they do!

There were only one other group when we came in around lunch time on a Sunday. It looks like it gets crowded in the evening so it was a surprise to find the place so empty, but we didn't mind. The lady who was serving us was very friendly and came back a bunch of times to ask if we need more tea. We were there way longer than how much we spend time at typical BBQ place, but she didn't seem to mind, which was nice. We had the beef combo, cold noodles, and squid and veggie stir fry, and that was way more than we needed. We thought the combo comes with only two bowls of rice but they added another one, seeing that we are party of three. That was nice. Banchan was pretty good and I kind of wish I ate more of it before the meat arrived because I got full from other items quickly. Cold noodles were average. Of the four kinds of beef in the combo, I liked three of them except for one (I believe it was the NY steak) - one item was leaner/dryer than other NY steak I had elsewhere. The combo also came with individual sauces (two types - salt in oil and sweet-ish sauce). The sweet sauce was quite forgettable and so I kept dipping the meat in the salt in oil sauce, but I wish they offered other sauce...maybe like soy sauce based ones or just plain salt. The squid stir fry was spicy and I enjoyed it. The combo also came with tofu soup, which was also pretty good. Overall, there were minor stuff that didn't go with my preference, but I had a nice time at WuJu!

Delicious food, especially the Jianxin lamb special, lamb skewers, flavorful soft gizzards and fresh duck blood. My partner kept ordering because they couldn't get enough! One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."
