We drove pass by it a lit if time and we finally tried it since we lived the similar restaurant in Pirtland and we were not disappointed at all. I love a Chinese skewer place. It's part of a small plaza with lot parking. The restaurant itself was pretty full for a weekday evening. The interior is modern and clean. There's a tablet per table to order which is super convenient. We ended up ordering a variety of skewers, the chives, and the spicy clams. The restaurant provides a little hot plate powered by 2 little tea lights and aluminum foil. It's not supposed to cook anything, just keep food warm. I was a bit disappointed by that but oh well. Looking for delicious 5-spice + cumin style Chinese meat skewers? This is some of the best in town along with "Taste of Xi'an" in U District! I can't say I've been disappointed with many of the skewers but my go-to is always going to the cumin lamb skewers that I think shine above the rest. That's the main dish at spots like this after all. But you can't really go wrong with most of the meat skewers, tho I found the beef ones a bit much since they include fat pieces that can be rubbery as they're not always rendered out properly. However if you don't like spicy food this might not be your thing. The converse is also true, if you like spicy food this will definitely be your thing! Also tried the hot and sour egg drop soup. Great place for some tasty Chinese bbq skewers. I came here on a weekday night and was able to call to make a reservation a couple days beforehand. We ordered a myriad of different skewers and they came out very quickly! We were impressed by the fast service; our favourite skewer was the Mongolian beef and special lamb. Very nice family friendly restaurant. Seating was comfortable and they were able to accommodate a larger party of 8. It is a bit on the spicer side and some dishes cannot adjust the spiciness, so good thing to check. My favorite were the squid, spicy clams and gizzard. The meat skewers were very thinly sliced. Some parts were like a jerky texture on the dry side. I was thinking the pork belly would have more fat and charred juicy but surprisingly just thin. Service was great, waiting staff very attentive and also consistent with refilling water. I like they had the heating boxes for the skewers.
