The boxes they packed were not marked. I had no idea where parts to my bed were. My paintings were stuffed into boxes with no protection. I provided wardrobe boxes for my clothes and they decided to just dump my hanging clothes in the box. Overall I was disappointed in the move. The lesson to be learned is to oversee the move in its entirety.

Then one of the movers disappeared and it took another hour to finish loading the items. I came to find out from a neighbor he was taking calls instead of moving my items. On my time I was paying for. They then got to my new place and took another 2 hours to unload the truck. I have moved many times and unloading is always faster than loading so I don't understand why this took so long. I again think one of the movers in the building kept taking phone calls instead of moving my items. Once I started to unpack everything I notice many of my items we messed up. My wooden bed frame has cracks in it. I believe it was stepped on or had weight unevenly placed on it. The metal weld on my laundry hamper was ripped out. There were tears in my under the bed storage bags that looks like they hooked on something and were torn away. My lamp shades were crushed. They were throwing my bags around and just overall not being respectful to my items or time. The fact it took them 4 hours and I still ended up with many damaged items is frustrating. This was a huge waste of money because I now have to replace several items. They are the cheapest by the hour and still not worth the price. Do not use these movers. We had originally planned to move earlier and scheduled with Secure Moving. We had to cancel. Julie with Secure Moving was very accommodating. As soon as we knew our new date we were rescheduled and on our way! Our movers, Jacob, Bear, and Blake were efficient and at the same time very careful with our furniture. They carefully wrapped most of the items and followed our instructions regarding where things were to go. We definitely plan on using Secure Moving for our next permanent move!

My date was scheduled to make sure they had a light job in the AM, as I told them I had big heavy items. The 3-4 hour estimate turned into 6 and they were unloading until 8:30pm after not getting there until 2:30 vs 12:00 quoted. They worked really hard but were exhausted after 2 big jobs. The truck was packed poorly causing the damage.

At 12:30pm I got an email (pictured below) saying that they could no longer complete my move and that they are "shutting down"? Waited 4 hours just to get cancelled on. No phone conversation, poor communication and it was the last day of my lease, they left me with a 0 possible chance to find a new company and move within the same day. I've been a customer at Lets Get Moving for almost 7 years they have moved me multiple times - good to know that customer loyalty doesn't mean a single thing to this company. Booked this company short-notice on Monday for my move on Saturday. I was able to book a time in…read morethe afternoon due to some commitments in the morning. They called me twice because of new morning openings, which I appreciated, but I wasn't able to move times. Jeremiah called me when they were 20 minutes away from my house. They (2 guys) walked into more stuff than they originally thought (bags/boxes on top of furniture that was only listed) but didn't complain, just made it happen. They had our things loaded into the truck in an hour and did so very carefully, quickly, and organized. When we were about ready to leave, I was asked if I would be willing to pay for a third guy to help unload to save time. It was a no brainer. There ended up being TWO gentlemen meet us there to help, one being the owner. Again, no complaints they "just wanted to do whatever they could to make the customer happy." These guys were quick, communicated well, treated our things well, rolled with the punches of moving us in downtown (we have a HUGE couch, the stairs were a beast), and did so in good moods. The movers did not show up until 11:30 and called me at 10:30 and said they had to go pick up the truck at the rental place. For one. I was a little bothered that they're renting a truck and why that rental truck wasn't picked up way earlier. So at 11:30 I was expecting three people to show up. Which that is what I was quoted, there was a man and his wife who is actually a waitress and not a mover. I first was told that oh you have more than a hundred boxes and I said oh no I don't because I literally counted them. You can look at my boxes and see numbers on them. But I kept hearing you have more than a hundred boxes. Which I did not. I didn't have many big items. I had extra beds or extra dressers and I didn't have a washer and dryer or any type of appliance going. Some of the things I was quoted for I did not have moved after all. I know I wasn't out of town move but my move took from 11:30 to 6:30. I was only an hour away so it wasn't like the drive took forever. I just expected to have more people show up. I expected for them to have the truck ready and not have to go rent one. The two people that came were very nice, I will say that. Went a lot smoother and I would have had more help that afternoon to evening time from my family if we could have had this move done a lot quicker. But my family had to leave and go home because it was so late. I'm surprised I didn't receive any kind of review to fill out. I mean I guess it's okay if you want to use them, don't believe them when they say they're going to send x number of people and then they don't. + Don't let them get away with showing up at 11:30 when your show up time is 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 and it wasn't because they had a move before mine. They waited almost an hour when they got to the rental truck place. I mean I guess that all should have been disclosed to me when they booked my move that they were going to go rent a truck and just leave it up here. I would have said well then I should be the first one and you should be here no later than 10:00.

I reached out, and Zack and Ryan were very quick to give a quote (super reasonable) and they were flexible with their availability with my strange schedule limitations! Overall, I will be looking to book this company again if I need to move again! First off, I was able to schedule over a week in advance easily with these guys. I had some scheduling conflicts for the Friday afternoon they could work me into their schedule, and after telling them this, they said they could do the move at 9 am that day if it worked for my schedule (which it did!). They also ended up getting to my house 15 minutes EARLY which was so helpful and better for them with the weather (it was 100 degrees forecasted for later in the day!). Even with the weather, these guys were super patient and so friendly. They really exceeded my expectations because I've heard some horror stories about movers--not these guys, they are AMAZING. They moved all my things from a first floor apartment to a third floor apartment (with no elevator--I'm so sorry!) with no issues. Everything was in the same shape as when the stuff left my other apartment. We ran into one snaffu (not any fault of theirs but mine!) when my couch couldn't fit up the stairway--they helped me move the couch back to my old apartment so that I could figure out what to do with it! Price - they quoted $150-200 for the job and finished in 45 min, for only $150. No travel fee, no 2 hour minimum - just great service at a great price. 2. Prompt - they showed up right on time. What more can you ask for? 3. Courteous and kind - not only did these gents take great care in moving our furniture, using their own blankets and straps when needed, but they were also super patient and cool while we decided where we wanted everything to end up. 10/10 will call on AJC again for my KC moving needs!
