    Chop bbq
    Vincent L.

It is aight honestly. The sides are good but small portion. Bbq meat taste weird, it is different than other chop bbq in town and I don't like it. Seating is comfortable, similar to the new Parker's. I didn't try other entree but they opened a couple locations so there are enough people that like Moore's bbq. I still prefer Bee's or Sam Jones

Hushpuppies fresh, crispy and a little sweet. Addictive

Great find in the Greenville area! We tried their food twice on a recent trip, once for take out and the second time eat in. Both experiences were excellent. The building itself was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful with the menu. The seating setup was a nice combination of booths and tables. The interior was very welcoming and the bathrooms were clean. For both meals I had the BBQ Pulled Pork, which was delicious, moist, freshly chopped with a light peppery kick and paired well with their house sauces. Perfectly cooked pork with a nice wood flavor. The hush puppies were crisp, fresh, slightly sweet and dangerously good. The sides were ok: mashed potatoes were good and the green beans were average. I felt the portion size was just right and appreciated the staff walking by and occasionally asking if we needed everything. The place was packed for a lunch rush and they handled it well. There are some great BBQ places in this area of North Carolina and Moore's is one of the best I've had in my humble opinion.

I absolutely loved the baked beans!!! My favorite thing on the menu. My pulled pork sandwich was amazing as well. It was my first visit and the cashier was so nice and gave me a slice of pecan pie for free. I definitely enjoyed my visit and would go back if I'm ever in North Carolina again.

    * For fellow parents of diapered kids; there is a diaper changing station in the big stall.* So, we had our first visit here today and highly recommend it! We had never heard of this chain before but decided to give it a shot after reading a couple of reviews here on Yelp. It was very clean inside and out with ample seating. It was not too busy even though we were there around 1300 on a Sunday. I ordered the BBQ Sandwich meal, which came with a sandwich (had coleslaw on it as well as their sauce), one side and a drink. I decided to stick with the French fries and I was given an abundant amount. I am not sure if this was due to the fact that they were teetering on being cold or if that is how much they normally give. With that being said, they were still good but could have been more fresh. The BBQ itself was pulled, I think they described it as chopped, and it was really good! Probably one of the best BBQ sandwiches I have had. I ordered my coleslaw on the side just because I am picky about it. It had kind of a cinnamon note to it that hit you a few seconds into tasting it. It was still good on the sandwich. I wound up putting their rib sauce and more of their hot sauce (which was on the table) onto my sandwich and it was delicious! My husband ordered the pulled pork plate which came with two sides AND hushpuppies. His two sides were the baked beans and the potato salad. The baked beans were the bomb! They did have a tiny portion of pulled pork in them, just so y'all know. The potato salad was good but it is not something we would order again. The hushpuppies tasted like they were made with cornmeal so it tasted like cornbread. It was good! Definitely a different take on a hushpuppy. Right as I was getting up to get a drink refill there was an employee walking around with tea to refill drinks! Total score! I still needed to run up to the counter for something but it was nice that I did not have to carry my cups up there. All in all we really enjoyed our meal at Moore's and will definitely be frequent customers.

I've passed this place for years before finally deciding to give it a shot. I've heard they served good food so my wife and I came in expecting great service. First impression was that their parking lot was clean, the interior was clean, and their facilities were clean. The associate taking the order was professional and friendly. They have a lot of great options to choose from fitting to a barbeque restaurant (think "family cookout"). After placing an order to dine in, we were given a table marker and drinks and chose a seat. You can place an order to go, and they even have a drive-thru. The speed with which our order came out was fast, not even five minutes. The plate I ordered was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. But that alone isn't what made me come back the next time, or the next few times since then. Moore's has customer service like I've never experienced before. Literally every 5-10 minutes an associate-and even the manager of the location-made rounds to check on us. I've even gotten up once to head to the register for a refill in-between their rounds and had their employee of the month, who was our server, immediately spot me and jokingly told me "no" and asked me what I wanted! This has unfortunately spoiled my wife and I I'm the way of customer service and set a high-standard of care for a customer. I highly recommend this location for anyone skeptical to try it. A good plate of food will hit you for about $10, so it'll make a great 2/$20 if you want to try it with a friend!

Pulled pork combo with Brunswick stew

Stopped in for one of my first tastes of Carolina Q and it was very good. Moore's is a fast food q and chicken joint that has all of the typical Carolina fixins including my fave Brunswick stew. It wasnt the best I have had here but it was a start. Btw if you are from Louisiana they have Cracklins, ask for them.

    Great BBQ
    Billy W.

We were a little nervous trying it so close to the grand opening. The place was great! Fried chicken was perfect and the Brunswick stew was awesome. Staff was on point and very helpful. I like how they bring the food to you and keep your drinks refilled. We will be back. Prices are very reasonable and have a good children's menu. Looking forward to trying their seafood.

We ordered several different appetizers starting with a 30 count of steamed peel and shrimp seasoned with Old Bay seasoning. The shrimp were sweet and succulent. I could've aten the entire bowl by myself. We also had sweet and spicy jumbo shrimp which was an explosion of flavors in our mouths. And two orders of calamari and hush puppy's along with crab cakes. All the appetizers were delicious. I had seared blackened sea scallops with roasted fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. We also ordered The Boat which was an assortment of fried seafood. The portions were quite large. My mom enjoyed key lime pie for dessert. Our waitress Keegan was awesome and her customer service skills were excellent. The drinks were flowing from the bar. The mixologist Isaiah prepared an assortment of sangarias, house margaritas and strawberry margaritas. They have a nice wine selection and many cocktails to chose from. The ambiance is very nice and all the staff were very friendly. When your in Rocky Mount, NC please stop by Cape Fear Seafood Company and enjoy good food and drinks. Cup of Pepper soup was very salty. Caesar salad was good with big slices of Parmesan cheese and lightly, perfectly dressed. Fountain sodas were exactly how a soda should be, perfect level of syrup to bubbly. We both commented on how good they were which was kind of odd, but so often fountain sodas are off. Wait staff were friendly and efficient. The dining room is so badly designed. The row of booths where we sat were along a wall where the doors to the kitchen are. You can hear dishes being washed, "backstage" staff talking loudly and occasionally cleaning smells. I don't know why they didn't make that a hallway and flip the booths to the other side. Weird vibe for a place that is supposed to be nice.

We were seated and immediately ignored. I noticed that several of the tables surrounding us had not been cleaned well as ours had not. It was a good 10 minutes before someone noticed our table and asked if we were ok. We had no drinks or anything so my husband told him that no one had come to take our drink order. So the guy apologized profusely and a few minutes later we had drinks and some hush puppies and we gave our order... and we waited and waited and waited literally more than 30 minutes. Eventually the same guy appeared and told us that they had just started on our order because the kitchen had been busy with an unusually large takeout order. A while later someone came out with food but it wasn't what we'd ordered so they took it back to the kitchen and started over. The guy came out and again apologized profusely and promised us a huge discount and free desserts after the meal. FINALLY part of what we ordered arrived and we decided to just try to eat and get outta there. The food we got was terrible. My flounder tasted like the oil it had been cooked in and their usual slaw tasted heavily salted. It was very bad. We were given a discount on the food but not the drinks and were not charged for the food we ordered but were not served. The desserts that had been offered we passed on just to get outta there... Still what we paid was FAR too dear for what we ate. I know the quality of Mayflower has diminished since we've been occasionally frequenting it over the past 30 years but this was the last time we will EVER try it again.

Overall, a very small matter that did not dampen our very enjoyable evening.
