Tonight was our first time trying Larry's Steakhouse, and it did not disappoint. My wife and I split a 10oz ribeye. The steak was heavily seasoned (salt & pepper) and the crust on the steak was perfect. We asked for medium, and it was! The service was also great (from the waitress, the bus boy, and the maître d'. I sincerely look forward to my next visit. PS, try the cheesecake! read more

I have eaten here twice, both times for lunch and have had no issues. Both times I had good food and great hospitality! First time had the lunch deal and it was a good price for the amount of food. Second time I got the burger and man was I full after eating it! read more

Whenever I'm working in Greenville I come here for lunch. They did some upgrading to the place and it looks really nice. I had my usual 8 oz ribeye and baked potatoe. Salad bar was fresh and yummy. Unfortunately, my steak was pretty tough. They did offer to make me a new one, but I was hungry so I just ate it. They are so sweet here. Customer service is top notch. While in town on a work trip, I decided to treat myself to a top-tier steak dinner. After browsing online, Larry's Steakhouse kept popping up on "best of" lists--so I gave it a shot. I'm thrilled to say it lived up to the hype. From the moment I walked in, the experience was exceptional. The steaks are hand-cut to order, and every side dish is made from scratch. The mashed potatoes were especially impressive--fresh, creamy, and clearly made from real potatoes (none of that powdered, cafeteria-style stuff). My steak was grilled to perfection, exactly how I like it. The service was warm and welcoming. Several staff members stopped by to chat, asking about my visit and where I was from, which added a personal touch. Even the owner, Tom, came over to say hello. That kind of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated. Larry's Steakhouse absolutely deserves its stellar reputation. I can't recommend it highly enough! read more

Stopped in on 8.30.25 because I wanted to try something new. I was a bit disappointed because they are permanently closed. Before we left to drive to the restaurant I checked Yelp and they had great reviews. Pulled up, checked in and then realized they were closed. I saw on Facebook that they will be opening back up under new ownership soon. Perhaps I will get to try them the next time I'm in town. read more

This is a no frills steakhouse to eat. You walkin and are greeted and told to pick where ever you like to sit. They have age steak that is custom cut to what weight you would like and doneness you like. They have other dishes if you are not a meat eater, chicken and seafood. We ordered a 8 and 12 ounce steak, and hamburger steak with onions and gravy, you get two sides. Steaks was cooked perfectly and good sides. Prices here are very reasonable. read more

A pleasant surprise! Walking in, it's a bit underwhelming - plain and very basic furnishings, but we learned that you don't go there for the atmosphere. Our party of 6 called ahead and were seated immediately. Drink orders were taken and filled quickly and we went to the salad bar which was small, but tasty and included smoked oysters. I did find a fly in the container of carrots, and told someone, who replaced it immediately. I wasn't too shaken by this. After all, it is summer in the south. Food arrived quickly and was cooked perfectly and delicious. Throughout our dinner, our server was helpful and fast. We'll definitely be back. read more

Located in the heart of Greenville, "Larry's Steakhouse" has only been open about two months when I walked in. You won't see a lot of decorations on the walls, or a lot of frills. What you will get is a delicious steak grilled to order. Absolutely wonderful service from Summer or Ava, and I have a feeling of comfort and contentment from my meal. Long time local restaurant owner Lawrence has done it again with his newest restaurant in an area starving of sit down dining establishments. My ribeye was hand cut to order, seasoned to perfection and though they have bottled sauces available, they were not necessary. First time visiting here and we were not disappointed!! We each ordered the cheeseburger. Definitely tasted freshly made! I had the house cut fries which were so good and perfectly crispy. Hubby had the salad bar; it was a smaller bar but had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and inviting, quick service. Met the owner and his wife who were extremely nice and happy to have us in. Will definitely be going back!! read more

Came to Larry's Steakhouse after being disappointed by all the chain steakhouses in the area--and wow, what a refreshing experience. I dropped in during a slower afternoon and was warmly welcomed by Tammy, who told us to sit wherever we liked. She was knowledgeable, kind, and made some great suggestions. I ordered the ribeye (medium) with green beans and a baked potato. The steak came out perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. The sides were fresh and well-seasoned. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed--not your typical dark, traditional steakhouse--but the food and service were spot on. I also got to meet Lawrence, the owner, and he was just as friendly and passionate about the restaurant. I'll absolutely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend! read more

I haven't had such a delicious steak since I was in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, many years ago. And now Larry's Steakhouse has opened just around the corner from our house. What good luck! The steak was tender and juicy even though it was done medium-well. The baked potato was absolutely perfect! The salad bar was fresh and crispy -- with a nice variety of options to stack on my salad plate. All in all, my wife and I were greatly pleased with the food -- not to mention the gracious personal service that we received. We recommend Larry's Steak House highly. Best in town -- no doubt. Considering all this, the price was not excessive. We will go back there again soon. read more

We traveled down to Greenville from Hampton Roads and found this place. We were craving steak and decided to stop. We were skeptical at first because it's not a big name steakhouse, but a family style dining restaurant. We took a chance and boy, are we glad we did! It was the best steak we've had in long time, perfectly cooked with excellent flavor. We've been to fancier steakhouses with lesser quality steaks that cost a whole lot more. The prices here are very reasonable, but the quality is very high. We also got the salad bar, which had great ingredients to choose from, including sliced boiled eggs, real bacon bits, ham, grated cheddar, and many more things. My husband's baked potato came with sour cream and REAL butter (not margarine!), something I always equate with a restaurant paying attention to quality in the smallest details. I got the fried okra as my side, because I haven't had it in a very long time. It did not disappoint! I must add that we had the chocolate colossal cake, and man, was it delicious. It's a chocolate layer cake with peanut butter mousse, topped with chocolate ganache. Heaven in a spoon, for sure! The servers were also attentive and very friendly, and the owner checked on us to make sure everything was good, and spent some time chatting with us before we left. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here and will be back next time we're in town. read more

Traveling through the area for work and decided to support something local. Saw that Larrys was a newer establishment. The owner was fantastic and involved with the experience from start to finish. The quality of food was fantastic! Salad bar was good (would have like to see the lettuce cut up finer) all options for salad bar was fresh and delicious! The decor was bare bones but they know exactly what they provide. Great steak at great price. It was like being at my uncle's for a cookout. Hidden gem! It's not actually hidden, but not in a location where people frequent for dining out. It's close to ECU, and I am thrilled they are closer to our house than most restaurants. The food is excellent and the service & owner are even better! It is locally owned and operated. We enjoyed getting to know the owner and his friendly staff. The steak is my new favorite in Greenville; Longhorn has moved to my #2 spot. The restaurant has a relaxed, southern-style ambiance that is perfect for family gatherings. read more
