Nice location and easy access. Staff were great, attentive and very fast in delivering. Ice cream was very fresh, with lots of options.

Despite geographically being further from my house, I think I like this Moo's location more than the one in my hometown of Derry. And I'll tell you why: the parking. See, if you're familiar with their Derry location, then you'll understand how annoying their parking situation is. I mean, it's practically non-existent, par from the 5 or 6 tiny little spots inconveniently situated a mere two feet from an otherwise busy street with active traffic. So basically if you park nose-in, have fun trying to back out safely without inexorably causing an unprecedented collision. Suffice to say...that isn't the case here in Salem. I may start coming here from now on if I'm driving from home. Because the ice cream quality is basically the same, 'cept I don't have to dodge cars whilst parking just to acquire the tastiest of ice creams. Oh, and I thought I should mention they DO accept Apple/Google Pay and credit cards now. Or rather....they probably have for some time now. I read an earlier review that mentioned them only accepting cash and that they had an interior ATM on the premises. Never found that ATM though. But it didn't matter. That earlier review was over 7 years old. Yelp really oughta update the amenities section on this place. Anyways, the parking lot is big enough to fit a G6. So, if you want to go to a Moo's that's more accessible via car, come here. At least you won't have to stand in a line of people that damn near trails out into the middle of a busy street. I'm not sure what changed this season, but so far it has been very disappointing. In three trips this year, each has failed to meet expectations. Had a soft serve in a cup with chocolate dip. The cup was less than half full. Not at all what I've come to expect from Moo's. On Saturday night, we arrived at 8:15pm. There were 10 people in line. First order, they were out of Bada Bing Cherry. And told us two other flavors that were out. I've never seen Moo's out of flavors this early in the season. Two of our party ordered Sundaes. Barely had any fudge or peanut butter. It looked like they thin coated the edges, and that was it. After we paid for our order, the cashier "reminded" us that they close at 8pm. I said your website says your open until 9 to which she said, well that's wrong. It needs to be changed. Why is that the customers issue? Maybe is just early in the season, new staff, etc. But, it definitely feels different. read more

Stopped here on a whim, and was really happy I did. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area. There is a lot of space, grass, and trees between the benches and the road. I was a little confused by the signage and misunderstood the "order from outside" instructions as the dining room was closed to customers. While you order from the window, you can also sit inside in the AC (not that I would have wanted to on a licley day!) Huge parking lot, so there no issues with parking. read more

We stopped at Mini Moo's on a hot afternoon. Appreciated being able to sit in AC to enjoy our ice cream. Great selection of flavors, both hard and soft. Very tasty and filling. When we go out for ice cream in Salem, we always go to Moo's on Rt 111. It close by, plenty of parking, and decent and reasonable prices (way better than Hawksie's). A huge amount of flavors to choose from and the portions are quite generous! We also like that during the week (Mondays, I believe) that they sponsor a classic car cruze night. We ordered 2 banana splits and the amount of topping and ice cream were pathetic. You could barely see the scoops of ice cream under the dollop of whip cream and there was only enough of the other toppings for about 2 -3 bites. We've ordered banana splits here before and they used to be large scoops of ice cream and a good amount or whip cream and toppings. May try one more time and if it's like that again we'll be looking for a new place. read more

The ice cream here is good, the service is not. My husband asked for a small ice cream in a cup. He wanted two different flavors and asked for a scoop of each flavor. The girl said she could not because a small was only one scoop. He then asks for half of a scoop of each and she said she could not do that. He then gets his small ice cream with one flavor and there are two scoops in it anyway! I don't understand how this request to scoop ice cream was difficult. This does not make any sense. Plan on poor customer service. ***In response to the reply, if the employee is following policy, they gave 2 scoops for a small which would be a regular according to you. Upon trying this place a few times, we've decided that we really like "Mini-Moo's" a lot, and it gets a very good rating because we feel it's the best choice in the surrounding area that includes Salem, Windham, Hampstead, Derry, Londonderry, etc. The ice cream selection is so varied, with hard and soft flavors and plenty of styles and toppings and sizes. The ice cream has great texture; smooth and creamy, not icy or airy. The hot fudge is that nice, rich kind, not the other cloyingly sweet or thin, ribbony kind. Service is prompt and courteous, parking is easy, and there are lots of nice places to sit outside. It's easy to get to, on and off 111. Also, we prefer this "Moo's" location over the other locations because it's more relaxed and enjoyable. read more

I'm disappointed a bit. Moo's used to make a nice thick frappe, one of the thickest in the area. For some reason they are making the frappes are a bit thinner this year an indication of using less ice cream. They are still tasty but now just average. I was willing to go out of my way in the past by driving to Moo's for my frappe fix, probably no longer. read more

Every time I come to moos, I am disappointed. I do not understand how it stays so popular. I just waited 15 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon for a $4 kiddie size- that was about 2 bites of ice cream. Moos is not with it for the price and wait time. Much better places in the area. read more

The outstanding customer service, the tremendous selection of ice cream flavors, and the delicious quality makes Moo's hands down the best ice cream place in all of NH! Last year, they had a special ice called "chimney sweep." At one of my visits they had sold out, i made a comment on Facebook that I was saddened because I was told it was not coming back. Within 24 hours I received a message from MOO's to please come back and pick up a special hand delivered pint they had brought from their Salem shop just for me. Amazing, creamy, smooth....yummy! The BEST ice cream in Salem!

Hey everyone, there is just one review here, so I feel the need to add my input. We go here all the time over the summer for ice cream. It is located in the Brookstone Park grille, event center, and golf complex. When you drive up you will see the Brookstone center to the right, and when you drive only a little further you will see parking and Moo's place on the left. The ice cream itself is great, I am completely obsessed with the low carb/sugar vanilla, as boring as it seems being vanilla lol, it's delicious! You would have no idea that it is low carb/sugar! It tastes sooo good. Some of the low/no sugar ice cream offerings at other places kinda miss the mark on flavor, this one doesn't! They don't have a lot of flavor options for the low carb, but I think that many people just order the regular ice cream anyways. My bf and his son do, and they also really like it. We go every summer! And it's a nice little area with cute outdoor seating. Definitely one of our faves! read more

I find the ice cream here lacks flavor and creaminess. I got banana and chocolate as two separate flavors. I bite of either and I could not distinguished the flavor of the chocolate from the banana ice cream. Sweet, some what creamy but no real taste to the ice cream. read more

Eeeh, its ok. I like Beyond Vanilla in Hampstead way better. To me Moos Place ice cream tastes like Edys or Turkey Hill but for way more money. I had strawberry ice cream, yes plain jane strawberry because thats what I felt like, but the strawberries were frozen solid within the ice cream.
