Excellent sandwiches so big it took two days to complete eating it. The ice cream was delicious

I saw their Apple Cider Donut Sundae on Facebook and was determined to get it. I was not disappointed at all! Apple pie soft serve, fresh whip cream, tons of caramel and a perfect apple cider donut! Before going I had read a few recent reviews and I was a bit hesitant to try them due to the apparent lack of customer service but I wanted to see for myself. What I found was yes they are lacking a smooth and quick ordering process but it's clearly local teens so in my honest opinion give them a break! They are doing great! We did have one tiny problem, while waiting for our ice cream we kept seeing these amazing looking sandwiches displayed above the deli. The problem was now we wanted one!! What started as an ice cream adventure became a backwards lunch. We ordered the brisket grilled cheese and fries. We both agreed this was by far one of the best grilled cheeses we've ever had. Love this place,food is really good and the ice cream is even better,family friendly with ,plenty of activities for the kids to do outside and they have karaoke every other Thursday.Prices are reasonable compared to other other places,highly recommend this place. read more

Pica's opened up a new deli and ice cream shop next door to their restaurant. The space used to be Lachi's Garden Center. THe space has been totally remodeled and looks fanastic! There is outdoor dining space which has tables, fire pit, and bocche ball courts. You can order ice cream inside or out AND Its open year round which is cool as most ice cream places close in the off season. The deli has many of the famous sandwiches from the restaurant such as the stuffed meatball sub, chicken barb, etc. There also is salads. paninis, and specialitys such as smoked meats. We ordered takeout and our order was ready in 15 minnutes. THe sandwiches were delish and priced right! So glad to have this new deli in the community. Its a nice additon! read more

Stopped by for ice cream the other day. About 4-5 employees inside. No other customers. The ice cream window counter was filthy with dust and ice cream stains. Jimmies included. It looked like the winter grime had never been wiped off. You would think with that many employees and no other customers they would be out cleaning and polishing. Instead of shooting the breeze inside the store. Disappointing and the ice cream was mediocre. Must say I had a sandwich there before and was quite pleased. But this was a complete turnoff. The owner or manager needs to get his employees to work instead of just waiting around on their phones or whatever they were doing. Two thumbs down read more

I went a much anticipated special event today. A Harry Potter Themed Tea. I paid $35.00 dollars for 4 tickets. 1. No one was checked to see if they had tickets. 2. 11:30 to 1:30. Why? I have no idea. 3. The place was decorated nicely And the music was loud then louder 4. For $35.00 I expected the ONE witches hat on the table and the small little glass mug , that we were served a beverage in ..were the favors. 5. Especially after the "tea items came out. 6. The bread on the 6 pieces of finger sandwich's 3 chicken 3 cucumber( 2 slices of cucumber. Only.) was dry/stale. 7. We could make our own tea. That was set up nicely. 8. And no.. you don't get "favors" at a normal tea. However you do get adequate food. You are catering this to a specific demographic and there was NOTHING I would recommend about this experience. 9. They need to go see how a real tea is served #1. 10. And lastly if you are expecting kids.. give them something to remember. read more

I tried the chicken cutlet sub today and I have to say it was one of the best I have had. The bread was a little crunchy on the outside but so soft on the inside. The cutlets were cooked perfectly with the edges just a little extra crispy, just the way I like them. The tomatoes were incredibly fresh and red which you don't find at any other place. I will travel the 15 min anytime to have another sub from here!! read more

Went in for an ice cream a few weeks ago. There were two people ahead of me, one girl serving ice cream. There were three people at the deli counter, no customers, just hanging around, the one at the register was doing something on his phone. The customer ahead of us was keeping the server busy with a large order. No one came over to help her out from the deli counter. I finally got my ice cream after waiting 20 minutes. I felt bad for the server. Went in again two nights ago, no one at the ice cream counter. There was one person at the deli counter, she did have a couple of customers but never acknowledged me, didn't say someone will be right with you, didn't say if the ice cream counter was closed, nothing. I was totally ignored. There were flys flying around which I hate to see in a food store so I decided to leave. It's no way to run a business! I won't go back after that. I've eaten at the restaurant and don't understand why this place is always so packed. read more

Not impressed. Didn't get anything. Probably bar and restaurant next door is more applicable for those looking for that type of food and bar atmosphere -pub-like. Small noisy and not for me. Sorry. Stopped on my way back to work today to grab take out for lunch. I was craving the Muffaletto so that's what I ordered. I couldn't believe when he handed me my sandwich. This thing was HUGE. I couldn't get back to work fast enough. I cut it in half and saved the other half for tomorrow. This sandwich was everything I was expecting. The provolone was nice and melted. And the olive salad was ammmmaaazing. My co workers were all very jealous and plan on visiting themselves. Highly recommend. read more

Don't get me wrong, we love this place, but they need to update their website for Sunday hours. Website states 9am to 8pm. Still closing at 6pm on Sunday is strange since that is when most people eat dinner! Guess they don't need the business! read more

Quick, easy and good! Ordered the lobster roll and a monster grilled cheese. Both were delicious. Lobster roll could be bigger, but taste was 10/10. read more

I tried this place for the first time. I called ahead to see if they had gluten free bread, which they said they did. I go there and wait 10-15 min for someone to come to the register to take my order. A very rude woman walks in behind me, and goes right in front of me - and they take her order first, even knowing I was waiting there for quite some time. Multiple staff members saw me. I have a newborn baby and was waiting there, holding the bucket seat, which is not light. Finally they take my order , and I order a sandwich with gluten free bread. They then tell me that all the gluten free bread is frozen solid so they don't have it today !!! A huge waste of time. It didn't look nice inside either, so I wouldn't have stayed to eat. Not worth your time. Don't even bother. I have also gone to Picas restaurant and have had the same problem - they run out of gluten free items. Don't even offer GF then ! Highly disappointed. Huge waste of time. I wouldn't bother with picas restaurant or the deli. You're better off going almost anywhere else. read more

A Saturday afternoon we found ourselves first timers here. It was not busy so we ordered right away. The customer service was great. I ordered the Mayflower. It tasted great. I took away a star because the bee problem outside was abnormally bothersome. read more

Visited the new Picas Deli the other day in Methuen. Ordered the Chicken Barb. It was delicious, like the chicken Barb I had as a younger girl! It was gigantic, moist and delicious! Very nice clean place. Food was good. Ordered online food to be ready in 20 min arrived within 15 min food was ready. Five minute ride home food was cold. Tasted better than a pizza place but not great. Portions were decent. Not a fan of being asked for a tip when doing a take out. I gave the 20%. But for what? To hand me a bag? Maybe I'll try it again but I was expecting more from all the hipe. read more
