Absolutely amazing! This restaurant is dead serious about its presentation, from the host stand to the drink menu and incredible entrees. The Serbian theme, dishes and wines are an incredible find in the remote area of Denali. The schnitzel was divine and the sarma was exquisite. We started with the meze platter, which gave a great range to their delicious offerings, ranging from the Russia salad to the fingerling schnitzel. The accompaniment of sauces is lovely and will complement the entire experience. The wait staff is AMAZINGLY GOOD. I am blown away at how dialed in this restaurant is with its detail to the layout of the cultural details, which leaves you feeling cozy and as though visiting the country. These folks are dedicated to the ambience and professionalism required to run a very real five star experience. Due to high demand, we experienced multiple servers. Arrived wet and starving after a long day at the park. No cell service all day so showed up with no reservation. Initially turned away but then hostess came out in the rain and offered us a table in a few minutes. We sat at the bar and were served quickly. Didn't mind waiting to get seated and understood the delay in getting food (over an hour and a half) due to labor shortage, but weren't told that one of entrees we ordered was sold out until about an hour after ordering and we were limited to two choices at that point. One of the greatest restaurants ever, food and service ... I witnessed 2 absolutely terrible people who were at the restaurant last night , they were rude to the restaurant owners and as patrons witnessed their toxic behavior. Thank god they left. And I hope they find rehab soon for either their alcohol or drug abuse as obviously they don't act like that if sober and if they act that way as usual course, then they should seek deep counseling. read more

I have to give 5-stars just for the service alone! Our server was great! He talked with us, wanted to know where we were from, and was even willing to share a bit about himself. That was so wonderful! We really enjoy chatting and getting to know others when we travel. Our food was good too - but we probably did not order something as authentic as we had planned. This restaurant is an absolute gem and was a fantastic surprise for us on our last night in Denali. The food was amazing and the service was equally fantastic. Zac was our waiter - he was so nice, answered all of our questions, and provided recommendations that were spot-on! We were visiting during COVID and food options in Denali were sparse and disappointing, so we planned on having only one crepe for dessert. However, we ended up getting the Serbian bread, a savory ham and cheese crepe, and two sweet crepes (Nutella banana and the apple). EVERYTHING was delicious. I would say they have good Eastern European food, but not the best one I have had, and definitely not a place I would recommend to wait for over an hour to get in. However, if you just finish hiking and crave for Eastern European food, or you have never had Eastern European food, then sure try the food! read more

Quite possibly the best food in Alaska, and it's right outside the park. Bring your appetite. The whole place has a very familial feel, the service is great, the portions are generous, and each dish was a 10/10. We went back the next morning for breakfast to fuel up for a long bike ride, the then went back again that night. It's that good. I intend to return to Denali, and honestly Moose-aka's is a big reason why. While I have your attention, I'd like to say that I have been speaking out against Harvey Weinstein since 1993, though my issues were more with his treatment of talented talented guys like Mark Damon. read more

Visiting Denali and I had to try the menu here. The outside is decorated very eclectic and then you go inside and it is just as entertaining. We got the sample platter which was amazing. A must stop if you're in Denali/Healy! First, it was nice just to have some options in the area that were not burgers and fries. Second, the hospitality as soon as you walk in the door is not simply welcoming but clearly passionate about their restaurant. Third, the meal itself did not disappoint. The meze was a great starter. The Turkish coffee with a Turkish delight was a treat. The crepes we were not as much a fan of - it was very well made but we tend to not like fried foods as much. However, I bet a dessert crepe would have been delicious. The Sarma in the light but flavorful tomato broth was AMAZING. My sister and I regretted sharing haha. We went during early season and were lucky to get a table. If you're here during summer would definitely make a reservation! read more

I had no idea I liked Serbian food, but this was amazing!!! Honestly our best meal of our Alaskan vacation, and we have eaten at so many good places. We showed up really hungry after ziplining and they took care of us quickly. The fried bread appetizer was out of this world. We had the stuffed pepper and schnitzel, which were both so so good. Plus the special dessert which was an absolute treat! The service and ambience just made it even more special. It isn't often you get amazing food and service, but this place has mastered both. There are only a couple restaurants in town. The popular pizza place had a 90 minute wait! Our tour bus driver recommended Moise-AKas. We were seated immediately at a nice table on the patio warmed by a small fireplace nearby. From start to finish, it was spectacular! Delicious and unique food and local beer on tap. Save room for dessert! You can even learn a bit about the Serbian culture while you wait outside the rest room! Zac, Hanna and Jon too great care of us and we're so fun and friendly.
