This incredible ranch home complete with rolling grassy grounds is the perfect backdrop for a wedding, family reunion, or other large festive gathering. The caretakers are so kind and accommodating and have made our stay here warm and friendly. There are multiple bedrooms, sitting rooms, terraces and even a workout room. They've sprinkled historical trinkets and artifacts sprinkled all over the place. Plus ... They have a barn filled with rescue goats, micro mini pot belly pigs, a pony and a Rastafarian sheep. We're going to be talking about this place for years to come. Lots of great pics and memories.

Just spent 7 wonderful days at this location for a 10 member family reunion. We loved the location and the lodge, located on 7 acres with views of the Teton range and forests. Each family had their own room, and we enjoyed a daily buffet breakfast. No maid service unless contracted (additional cost) but he had free use of the laundry facilities in the garage. Owner lives on site and helps with restaurant recommendations. Located south of Jackson, it was close to the ski resorts and the town, and less than 100 miles from Old Faithful at Yellowstone. We loved the farm animals - pony, hogs, chickens, ducks and goats are family friendly, especially if you have food to share! We loved it!

    Grandkids at Rancho Alegre

This has been our favorite family vacation so far. And we've been to a lot of places! What a gorgeous and private setting with lots of room for the kids to play. We had 15 people in our family group and there was still plenty of room for everyone. Every morning there was an abundance of breakfast items to choose from. Shana went out of her way to be helpful in every way and to make sure we had everything we needed. Our whole family found the review left by Mark M to be very misleading and unfair. The property was decorated in a rustic style but was beautiful and private with gorgeous views. It seemed to us that he went way out of his way in a search for alleged problems with the home and grounds. Perhaps he was angling for some kind of refund? Trust me, his review was not an accurate depiction of the property or the host, Shana. And no, we're not connected in any way to the owners or managers of the lodge but we we were on our first visit there from California. We would all love to go back there again in the years to come.

Very nice accommodations. Clean. Well equipped. Friendly and two great hot tubs!…read more It has the Bed & Breakfast Inn feel but with the conveniences and privacy of a modern hotel. It was really nice. We would stay there again. We stayed in the new building, which I think they call Broadway. Breakfast is not included. They charge $20/per person which I first through was high until I got used to the town. Jackson is very expensive. Other than getting a breakfast burrito to go from D.O.G. (which is awesome, by the way) you will find $20 to be on par, or cheaper, than any other breakfast you can get in town. Plus, this one is cooked to order and served in the relaxed atmosphere of the Inn. If you need breakfast included there is one other hotel in town in the same price range that offers a buffet, but having stayed at Huff House, Since breakfast may be a sticking point for some, it shouldn't be. Here's why; there are a lot of food options in town. We stayed at Huff House for 4 nights. Had breakfast there once. It was superb. No complaints, but it was also nice to try some of the other places right next door (Cafe Genevieve, Persophone, and D.O.G.). I think you will like the variety PLUS you have a fridge and microwave in your room so you may just have leftovers from last night's dinner you'll want to heat up instead. Options! I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's great.

Had we not had his helped, we would have ended up somewhere else. We stayed in both the Cody suite and Snake River cabin. LOVED both. The beds were soooo comfortable. Whoever makes their beds, it was like heaven - tucked in nice and neat and super comfy! The rooms were spacious and the Cody suite (our fav!), had a small table/chairs and couch, made it so we could relax and regroup without having to always sit on the bed - perfect! Claire was also an absolute gem! She was always so kind and helpful, very sweet accommodating times and giving great info for the area, places to eat, etc. She made it so we wanted to return! PS - I hope your foot heals soon. Lastly, the cookies. OMG, what a wonderful touch. It was the culinary highlight of our Jackson visit, lol. Something so small that left a great lasting impression. Thanks to both John and Claire, we'd return to Huff House in a heartbeat!

Away from the hustle and bustle but within walking distance. Great spot along the creek. The inn has an old world, warm, grandma's home feel to it. Not bad but not my style. Old carpet and decor that needs a refresh. Service was excellent and couldn't have been nicer. They remember names and are so friendly and caring. The family who run it have been in the industry for 40 years and are passionate about every aspect of the Inn. The feeling when you enter the lobby and dining area is so welcoming and charming! Everyone was so friendly with outstanding service. We stayed in the Harlequin room which the owner told us that Cosmopolitan magazine declared in 2005 that the view from the balcony was the most romantic in the nation. I'd have to agree. We sat out there every night with a glass of wine. The trees rustled slightly in the soft wind, birds chirped happily and the soothing sound of the creek makes for a very enchanting place. Add the incredible view and you don't want to leave. The room was very large, nicely decorated with every amenitie we could ever think of. The owners are remodeling the rooms, so it could be even nicer when you book. The outside of the Inn is so charming and inviting. Book in advance so you have the opportunity to enjoy this truly unique and amazing place. It's a stay I will always remember!

And a beautiful neighborhood it is (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/jakeys-fork-homestead-bed-and-breakfast-dubois?select=cdxVgsY55c2Vsi86mS07gg#cdxVgsY55c2Vsi86mS07gg). I'd come here even it weren't close to the Tetons or the Wind Rivers, simply because of Louise Lake, which one of those picturesque and slightly remote locations that tell you, yes, you're in Wyoming, and yes, it is this scenic in real life, too (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/jakeys-fork-homestead-bed-and-breakfast-dubois?select=cdxVgsY55c2Vsi86mS07gg#N357UsP_mWPjj7n0U5RgVg). But the location doesn't speak for itself. Carolyn does that, based on years of NOLS backcountry guiding and decades of Wyoming homesteading with her daughters. She's one of those pathfinding polymaths for whom running a B&B is simply one act of many. But it's a really virtuoso performance, and while her clientele may be select, they are immensely appreciative of the red-carpet welcome she offers. And if the red carpet isn't enough, ask for the USGS map of Louise Lake and the walking guide to the petroglyphs. Your tired feet will thank you, in the sauna, afterward.

Staying at the Alpine House is similar to staying in a personal log cabin with all the amenities which include a fireplace and balcony in most rooms. The beds were comfortable and clean, the water was hot and the wifi was fast. In addition, the property has a small fitness facility available with a few free weights and ready cooked hot breakfast every morning. A small perk is that there is water, coffee, tea, cider, etc. 24/7 in the lobby. There is also a small workspace with a couch and fireplace for those needing a break from their roommates. The staff are very friendly, helpful and are ready to offer help when needed. Check in and check out are very quick and efficient. They are well trained and have a good knowledge of the area, offering suggestions to eateries and other local attractions. One of the best features to this property is their proximity to the town. Only three short blocks, one can be in the town square by foot in minutes. Staying in Jackson Hole during one of the coldest months (February) can prove challenging while navigating through the snow/ice covered roads and having a proper hot shower. However, The Alpine House shielded us from these issues with the short stroll to town and the consistent hot water flow from the showers. With great service, beautiful rooms, a short walk to town and a reasonable rate, The Alpine House is the best option while visiting Jackson Hole, WY!
