I gave her the receipt from that shop and she made a copy of it. To say that they were not initially aware of this is false. I also followed what my triple AAA representative recommended in this situation, and due to the circumstances surrounding the service with the prior shop, they recommended I be towed to the nearest Triple AAA approved shop - which was Blystone's. The very nice receptionist Yolanda did tell me that the shop is very busy and the diagnosis could take up to 2 weeks. It is the fact that after two weeks I was not told an update in timing, I was told to "TOW IT SOMEWHERE ELSE." That is a direct quote, not a dramatization. I was also asked why I didn't tow it back where it came from, afterwards. If Blystone's never intended to "get to it", they could've have been up front about that before my car sat there for two weeks. Busyness is not an excuse for poor communication. Being up front about this situation initially would've saved both of us the trouble. No excuses.

Placed a call to Lodi Shell not expecting an answer but was incredibly surprised by the positive tone and urgency that Bryan responded. He was incredibly quick, took less than 20 minutes just as he provided as an ETA. He quickly used the battery pack to start car. After hearing we had over 100 miles to our next destination, he said he would be hesitant to drive that far due to possible damage to alternator. He said he would be happy to check if they had the correct battery. We followed him back to the shop in Lodi, he quickly found the correct battery and changed 100 times faster than I could have done it. Not only was Bryan an incredibly nice guy, he also talked about how he really liked working for the owner (don't hear that much nowadays) and the generous support the owner provided to the community. 100% recommend Lodi Shell! He, whose name I've forgotten-sorry!!- arrived quickly, was friendly, fast with the spare and helpful in trying to assess my tire. After suggesting a closer Walmart could repair it easily I asked if they would if I so choose. He said yes. The next evening Walmart had a 2 hr wait & I preferred to give Bill's my money anyhow so I drove an easy 4-5 min out of our way to them. I am so glad I did! He checked the vehicle to see if there was a possible temporary solution. Unlike others that just see easy money. He was friendly and helpful. They were called and plugged the tire and made a repair in very good time. The cost was $60 which I paid for in cash. However, I asked Ron IF I could return to the garage AFTER the boat tour and provide my credit card, get my cash returned, and receive a receipt. I was told that would be okay as I hustled off to the boat dock to catch the tour. Made it in time and was very pleased with the transaction made - Ron and Ryan did a superb job of coming to the parking lot and fixing my flat. However, upon the completion of the boat tour and locating Platt's Garage, we waited an inordinate amount of time in the office for anyone to arrive. Finally, a gentleman? from the back came whose name I believe was Marty. Saying that he was rude would be extremely kind. At first he refused to even consider exchanging the cash for the credit card. After a heated discussion, he informed me that he would do so ONLY after finishing his current job. He would finish that in "a couple of hours". My wife and I were on our way home to Chicago and could ill afford to wait that amount of time. There was no sign of either Ron or Ryan at the garage. I left the garage without my cash and without a receipt. The receipt would have been used to seek reimbursement from my car dealership. The bottom line is that the service provided to my vehicle was exemplary; the customer service was non-existent. Don't waste your time.
