In the conference, by both of them, I was told "Unless there is a golden calf in the living room your invoice will not increase." on several occasions I asked the broker to speak with the movers and I got the runaround and basically got one phone call an hour before they were supposed to be there from Ideal Movers. in this phone call before the movers even got to my mother's condo they were trying to hustle me for more money, talk over me, steamroll me and intimidate me. Once they were all there they stayed for three hours in their truck arguing with me and it went from bad to worse. They tried to con my uncle into signing an acceptance invoice that they would do the job for $6000 after I refused to pay $8000, and then tried to con me and into sending a text message that I canceled. They told me I would never see my deposit back from the broker and that they had other jobs the next day when they were supposed to be working in my mother's condo that weekend packing and loading their truck. At one point they attempted a $5542 proposal to take only one bedroom of furniture, a few Pyrex bowls and a coffee table. This moving company is a complete scam, the owner is in Israel and good luck reaching him. It is a felony to attempt to coerce and threaten a federal employee. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau as it was such a traumatic and unprofessional experience rife with racketeering schemes to intimidate and extort money-- particularly out of women.

The front office worked with me to accommodate our moving date which was great and said someone would come out to do an estimate, gave me a general time frame for their arrival, and said they would call when they were on their way. As a mom with a 9 month old who has a nap schedule and a dog who barks at everyone who walks past our door, this is extremely important to me. The guy arrived without calling and I had to rush to get the dog out on his lead before he woke up my daughter. He took about 15 minutes to do the estimate, said we'd need one truck with 3 guys and overshot on the time which I expected so no biggie there. Moving day arrives; the crew had loaded maybe 3 rooms (out of 8) and kept saying they were going to need another truck multiple times to the point where my husband and I said screw it, take only the large furniture and heavy boxes and we'll move the rest on our own. 2 of the workers busted their butts while one sort of just organized the truck and then one of the guys busting his butt and the organizer bickered most of the afternoon. The third guy even came and apologized to me and my husband for having to listen to it! A chandelier was broken during the process and no offer from the company to repay us for us or anything. Then the icing on the cake was the foreman did our bill, I had a debit card and he said I had to call the office to do it and I did, at 330 in the afternoon, and the lady who does the payments had left for the day! What?! So in all the craziness of moving I couldn't remember where I had our checkbook and thought I left it at the old house. The office said I could drop it off by 5pm and the foreman said no worries we'll go to the old house with you and we'll bring the check, no extra charge for the time. Only halfway there I realized where it was and had to just stop at the bank and withdraw cash. My husband was in a separate vehicle and got there before me and told them that I had to make a stop. When I got to the old house (which was 20 minutes after my husband and I spoke so he had communicated with them that I had to stop) the foreman was on the phone asking if he should run the clock. Why did you offer to do it at no cost then try to call and ask your boss if you should run the clock? Makes no sense. All in all, it wasn't an awful experience but not worth 5 stars to me and I likely wouldn't recommend them to friends or family.

I got home and noticed this and I took the statue upstairs, and through my window heard them complaining that I had taken in the statue. When I called them out through my window they started yelling at me and couldn't care less that they had done it. If this is what the company is like to neighbors I can't even imagine what they would do to the people who's things they're charged to move.

So maybe our experience was just a fluke but…read more.. We booked Sitterly to move our furniture to our new apartment. They were supposed to arrive at 8:30/9 AM, which was confirmed by phone by them the day before. 9...9:15...nothing. We call their office-- they're closed on Saturdays. We call the salesperson who quoted us-- no answer. Finally, I think around 10 we hear from the sales guy. It turns out that the movers grabbed the paperwork for a move in two days, showed up, the people said, hey you're early, and they left. (Lesson #1: If you grabbed the wrong paperwork, wouldn't you return to the office to get the right paperwork?) Salesperson talks to them and tries to see if they can still come. We hear back. Yes, the movers will come at 11:30/12. It's 12...12:15...nothing. We call salesperson back. Voicemail. (Lesson #2: You already stood us up once, your movers ostensibly have our paperwork and therefore contact number...why aren't they informing us that they'll be late?) We hear back from salesperson. It seems like today won't work, might have to be tomorrow. We say we need to think about it and call back. We do, and insist on today (we've now spent/wasted like 6 hours waiting for movers to come). Salesperson tells us that they're not sure it's going to happen this weekend. We ask if we can talk to the dispatcher. We can't because that person only has a personal cell. (Lesson #3: So if you move on a weekend, there's no one you can contact if there's a problem? Lesson #4: Why can't you come this weekend? Because you're too booked? Can't you give us more information?) The salesperson was nice enough to recommend someone else who was available, but we decided to move everything ourselves because we were so fed up / didn't trust anyone anymore. We've never used movers and thought it would be such a good break. Instead, this experience made our move twice as long. Appreciate that mistakes happen, but this is three in one day (1. AM time missed; 2. PM time missed; 3. Cancellation on same day.)
