We saw the car online, went to see it, decided we wanted it, and left with the car an hour later. Not only that, but they got us a lower interest rate at our credit union then what the credit union gave me before we arrived. We have only had the car a week but the buying experience and people were great.

He took my car for a 5 minute ride and told me it was a $40 sensor. Air Intake?? Anyway, problem fixed and I drove my beautiful LSC for 13 more years. Love love them all. Todd, Dana and Jim. They won't screw you on repairs!!! I did sell my LSC to a guy who gave it to his teenage son.........I missed the memorial service!!!!

I stopped into Bertolino to see the 5-- five -- FIVE Subarus that Marty (our titular hero) had on the lot. The man also had a Baja! A freaking BAJA! Japan's answer to the El Camino. Have you ever seen a Baja, let alone sat in one?!? Anyway, he had the whole range of Subaru outbacks, from the baby-bear base model in a 5 speed through the polished limited and the beefy H6. I took a long test drive, was shocked by the quality of the ride and the reasonable prices, and picked up a lovely, clean, working H6 for under book value. The whole transaction took an hour- no pressure, no sleaze, just a nice man who loves Subarus. It was so laid back I nearly left with the keys to the car in my pocket! Two days after seeing the car I paid up and drove it 500 miles in one shot. Rock solid, and I'll keep you posted as time goes on. I've always hated buying cars, but I will venture back to see Marty Bertolino if I ever need to replace this car.

Work to be done was Inspection, Emissions, oil change and software update. A two hour job by my estimate. At Noon my SUV still wasn't pulled in the garage! Work was finally finished at 2:45PM. The bill was $185. They charged $90 for an oil change which was supposed to be free. $10 to rotate my tires which they had pull off anyway for the inspection! $80 for inspection and emission on a vehicle with 4300 miles! In Pa. vehicles with under 5500 miles are EXEMPT for emission and you only pay for the sticker. These people clearly are not interested in earning any repeat business, My suggestion is to steer clear! I love my SUV by will take ie elsewhere in the future for service!

Hillcrest has been trying to fix my car for over 2 years to the point that I purchased a second…read moreextended warranty from Hillcrest since my first warranty was expiring. The latest debacle goes like this....I had the same problem of my 2009 VW Eos dropping to 20 MPH while the RPMs go high which was the same problem that I had for over 2 years. I dropped my car off and 2 days later got a call saying that they got a code and that I need a new transmission and it will be $5,000. I said what about my extended warranty and he asked if I had it on file which I reminded him that they sold it to me. He told me that the warranty company would need to come out and validate and it should be covered. Well this is where things went south. When the warranty company came out Hillcrest had cleared the code before they got there and the warranty company drove the car and said that they couldn't validate anything was wrong. Hillcrest told me to come get my car and wait for the code to come back on. Hillcrest had cleared the code so they wouldn't be caught in a lie that I didn't need a new transmission. Then when I went to pick up my car they wanted to charge me $100 and when I asked for what they said for diagnostics. I told them that I wasn't paying it since it was their fault the warranty company wouldn't pay. The owner of Hillcrest came over and told me that he wouldn't charge me but I was to NEVER step foot in his dealership again for service or repairs. I have had 3 different mechanics confirm that there is no code that says you need a new transmission. One of those mechanics who said there is no such code was a VW certified mechanic from a different dealership. The code was P2711 that I saw on the paperwork. I have never been treated so poorly by any business in my life. Hillcrest was paid over $6,000 over the years that they were TRYING to fix it. I want to share this in order to help someone else from being ripped off like I almost was.

By far one of the worst business experiences of my life. Andy, Andrew Barr, (Wrench and Roll -…read more412.218.7418 - number shows up as Stephen Bice) came to my house to repair an AC compressor. I found him online and he was local and had good reviews which I now confidently doubt are even real. He did arrive when I first called with another man and said he would be back and could fix my car. I gave him a $500 deposit. he came back to my house several times at all hours of the night unannounced. The third time he showed up at 10:30 at night and passed out in his van (expired inspection on his van too) and was unresponsive so I called 911 because I thought he may have overdosed. His vehicle was running with doors and hatch open and radio on. I even fed him because he looked sick. The police, with a drug dog, did let him go after an hour or so. The next day I noticed my keys were gone and I called him and he said he took them and needed $550 more to return my keys and complete his work. He was rude and hostile on the phone and kept calling. He did come back in the middle of the night and work on the car again. He then stated that I didn't hire him to fix my car but only to replace parts. I paid him the rest of them money just to get him to leave. He also texted me at 12:30 at night and asked me if my young daughters were asleep. With in one week my car broke down again and the compressor he had replaced had seized and completely ruined my engine due to incorrect repair and the engine is now totaled.
