The entire team - nurses, staff, and support personnel were all amazing. The food was great and the facility is comfortable and well maintained, which made her stay comfortable. In particular, Jessica, Michelle, Maria, Princes and Key xoxo and all the nurse staff provided exceptional care and kindness around the clock care. The physical therapists, Miss Elizabeth and Albert, were outstanding. They gave our mom the encouragement and support she needed to regain strength and independence. While she's taking small steps, we can already see her progress, and we're so grateful for their patience and guidance. The CNA's were helpful, busy, quick to respond, and easy to talk to. The OT and PT's were friendly, experienced, encouraging and skilled. The kitchen staff served hot, tasty balanced meals and would ask me what I would prefer. I felt more at ease and cared for at this facility than I did at the more expensive and higher rated one I had the previous year. It may be a little bit dated, but it is clean and the employees more than make up for any lack in newness. I especially appreciated how well the employees worked together without complaints, arguments, or gossiping in front of residents. My thanks to Tommy, Gloria, Josaphine, Rosalinda, Maria, Dawn, Walley, Esparanza, Victoria, and many others for their expertise, kindness, encouragement and patience.

He told me about the facility and what they can offer to fit my relatives needs individually and as a couple. Michael took us on a tour. The place was calm, nice and clean. It had several activity rooms and the staff was polite. Michael arranged for us to dine with some residents.we met a couple that were together for 42 years and a single woman who decide that this was the right place for her because she just got tired of being alone and didn't want to cook anymore. Everyone seems happy as a resident or an employee. Michael was patience, helpful and informative. The management has less that 4 white people you never see after enrolling and has a yearly transfer or turnover rate. Bedside those few diverse exceptions you might as well be living in Africa. The biggest complaint and super big problem is the mealtime. Every resident you talk to will tell you the dining service and meal preparation is the WORST! The residents orders take as much as 45 minutes to an hour to arrive and the food is perpetually cold or luke warm at best. The staff could care less and is in different to your request for a timely hot meal bc the residents are unable to defend themself and their cause. Residents get brushed off and lied to about meal time.I see many unhappy ppl in the dining area. The kitchen is either understaffed or purposely has severely incompetent and indifferent people in charge of food. Also, every employee has a key to your unit. Anyone can walk in without knocking even after being asked not to do that. Even the residents own door keys opens other residents units. Their transport van by the front entrance has an inspection sticker that's been expired since 2024 and is out of DMV compliance. I've personally brought this to the front desk's attention several times, and it's never addressed and is still expired as of 04/05/26. Also, if your internet, tv or phone goes out the staff will send a handyman maintenance worker to address thise issues.... they do NOT know electronics! So, you end up paying a fee for xfinity to come out and reconnect you to the internet. Most important of all, if you have an emergency, just call 911 yourself. It took 25 minutes before their in house emergency personnel showed up to assess a 90 yo female resident who couldn't breathe. This is a corporation with stock holders who only care if their investment is earning money. This Corp cares about their money and not your loved one's comfort, safety, and quality of life and care or emergency services. The positive things this company does is know your name and smile at you when you walk by. This place doesn't feel "homey" and is a big uncomfortable culture shock.

My mom was at Optimum Personal Care in Missouri City for the last year of her life. I wish we had…read moreknown about them earlier, as it was so much better for her than Memory Care or Skilled Nursing Care. The staff ratio was better also and she was well cared for. They have beautiful grounds and she was able to go outside which she loved. The staff were kind and caring. She was able to rest in a recliner chair as opposed to wheelchair. OPC was a dream come true. This is a small, family owned care facility. This place reminds you of home. The workers are caring and always knowledgeable about what's happening with every resident. Don't be surprised if you see the owners spending the day with patients. Everyone that works here cares for the residents. Loved ones are free to come and visit anytime. My aunt lived there for eight years and I was never disappointed. Even though my aunt is no longer living, she was always happy and I'd recommend Optimum Personal Care to anyone looking for a facility to care for your loved ones when you can longer do it alone.

My Mom's neighbor is currently a resident here and I've been stopping in to visit. He says they are providing excellent care and have an individualized care plan that is helping him become stronger every day. He's very happy with his care and the facility. A Nurse Practitioner is on-site and makes daily rounds. Chelsea Gardens offers Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy all under one roof. The exercise area is quite large and extremely nice. All the staff I've interacted with have been friendly and caring. The security is excellent here with only one entrance/exit with a keypad code required to enter or exit. If you push the door bar an incredibly loud alarm is sounded. Perfect for Alzheimer's patients or those with a tendancy to wander. All 60 beds are private rooms with private restrooms, televisions and individual phone lines. His room is very nice and looks out onto the well manicured grounds. When he's not participating in rehab their are daily activities planned for the residents. They also offer free WiFi for residents and guests. I hope he's strong enough to return home soon and he feels with the care he's receiving that should be soon. If you are searching for a Nursing or Rehab facility consider Chelsea Gardens to see if it's a good fit for you or your loved one.
