We've passed this restaurant many times on a busy River Road in Fair Lawn and decided to stop in. Upon entering this warm and cozy interior without a reservation as first-timers, my partner and I managed to locate a table outside on this summer-like day. Juany's Cafe is a cozy, family-run establishment making a great impression as a place for brunch on locals and visitors. The owner is Peruvian, and the Mexican cook began in the kitchens of his homeland, known for its authentic Latin-inspired cuisine. We decided on the Latin bowl with marinated steak accompanied by black beans, sautéed veggies, avocado, and sweet plantains & Grilled Chicken Burritos with Sweet Potato Fries. Complimentary fruit salad started our meal. All ingredients were fresh, and the seasonings were unique with their bold flavors. There was a wait time for food as everything was homemade, made to order, and well presented. The prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the food.
