The disrespect was soooo real, literally ONE whole potato, 5 slices for nearly $15 is just ridiculous especially after ordering over $100 worth of food and always leaving generous tips to the waitresses. Had dinner here while in town recently, What a good choice for a meal. My business partner and I were looking for a late meal and D' Carbon took good care of us. A traditional eatery, with several tables and chairs in the dining area and it was busy the night of our visit. After giving the menu a good read, I opted for fresh whole fish. The Red Snapper with Calamari and Shrimp was my choice and it did not disappoint. This is a large meal, whole snapper head on. With lots of calamari rings and whole butterflied shrimps all mixed in a rich creamy cheesy sauce. The fish was fork pull apart tender, sweet and flavorful. Sorry, this review is for the Hawthorne location. Kinda a tacky-tourist vibe with over-the-top florals all over the place. Wait staff does not listen to the customers at all. Understanding English is problematic but the wait staff either doesn't understand or refuses to and will just repeat something totally different than what you just ordered. We always order take out from here. They are always consistent. They have a very good pollo de lomo. Their whole/half chicken is very good as well. The Chaffa rice is delicious! This place is great to order from if you're hosting and do not feel like cooking. I have eaten there once before and the ambiance is casual during the day. I believe at night they do play music. This restaurant is very popular. Theres a parking lot right next to it. Theres a small outdoor section and inside is a good size. When i went it was very covid friendly and service was great. False advertisement- The manager claims now there was a 2 drink max but it is not posted anywhere in their site of this change or on their instagram. I felt she the manager singled out and targeted our table from everyone in the restaurant - noteably as she claimed the week before I fell because I was drunk - when in fact their floors were wet caused it had snowed ad they failed to put up a sign of caution which only appeared after I told them I would not put a claim for my injury no other table was treated as disrespectful y we were embarrassed. She said she would only be able to serve us more than two drinks if we gave her our keys and left our keys in the parking lot and took an Uber home. The Most Horrible Service Ever. I called to place an order and was told 20 minutes. However, it took a little over an hour. While waiting for my food, I observed a lot of their disgusting, unsanitary mannerisms. It was three of us and we were charged a tip (which i usually don't mind but the waiter was RUDE. Attitude problem everywhere. Not to mention we ordered a whole chicken with fries and they came out with half claiming it was a whole chicken. What? Literally the best Peruvian restaurant in Paterson. I have come here plenty of times and it's always the same quality of delicious finger licking chicken and the various sauces are a whole experience. If it's your first time trying Peruvian food I definitely suggest their "Pollo ala Brasa" with salad and fries or "Lomo Saltado", both big plates and so savory. Honestly, this place is so good I want to try every single plate on their menu. The menu is very simple and not cluttered. The prices are also reasonable and you won't go broke, trust me. Finally the location is a little hard to find but you can find it on google maps. The area is not as sketchy as it seems and this restaurant has a huge safe parking lot. Such a good find for Peruvian food. Outdoor and indoor seating is available with a small parking lot next to the building which was a plus for the area. We sat outside and it was a nice ambiance.
