Empty shelves dusty and empty. The store looked unkept, racks were messy, and the overall shopping environment felt neglected compared to other locations. What made the experience worse was how uncomfortable we were made to feel almost immediately after entering the store. Within about two minutes of stepping inside, we were being followed by asset management . It was obvious and unnecessary, especially since we had just arrived and were simply looking for a few specific items we were there to purchase. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time I've experienced something like this at Nordstrom. The same thing happened to me at the Westfield Culver City (Fox Hills) location after years of shopping there without any issue. As someone who has regularly spent $400 or more every visit at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, it's extremely disappointing to feel singled out and followed around the store while shopping. I just had to leave. During this visit, I also noticed other shoppers in the store (not being followed), I guess other race of people do not steal, just mines. We must be followed! I don't have to shop there. Despite what appeared to be suspicious behavior elsewhere, the focus remained on following us instead of paying attention to actual store issues or potential theft. Nordstrom employees should focus on maintaining their stores and treating all customers equally rather than making loyal customers feel targeted. We recently moved to a luxury apartment near by, but because of these experiences, I will no longer be shopping at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack.

I especially love stopping by when a new holiday is around the corner. They always have fresh inventory and fun seasonal displays that make browsing feel exciting (and dangerous for my wallet lol). Huge shoutout to the employees here--they truly deserve it. Despite long lines, busy rushes, and the occasional disruptions, they stay friendly, professional, and do their best to keep everything running smoothly and safely. I've seen them handle stressful situations with patience, and it doesn't go unnoticed. It definitely gets busy, so I appreciate those rare moments when it's calm and there's no checkout line. That said, it's almost always worth it. I consistently score cute finds for my pets, kitchen goodies, and I always keep an eye out for Hello Kitty and Sanrio items! Like any Ross, it can be hit or miss some days, but more often than not, I leave with something I love at a great price. It's a big store with plenty to browse, so if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop... just don't be surprised if you walk out with more than you planned (I always do!).

She instantly refused to service me which is against the law. You have no right to refuse service to me. Again I went to go pay for my stuff which was ok clearance 3.99 tell me why she was running it up for 10$ only because I was on a budget I told her off and she got mad and retired to refuse service I asked for someone else to attend me she also refused I called out for a manager 3 x she also refused and she thought I was going to leave her register after she neglected me and discriminated me. She wouldn't call the manager so I yelled out for the manager and even the security came to try to intimidate me to leave, but I'm not stealing I'm trying to purchase something and she couldn't even tolerate me. Finally the manager comes and I ask for the employees name the manager also lies to my face stuffers a fake alias said her name was Jennifer but the water bottle on her desk said JESSICA !!!!! I will not let you keep deleting my reviews. They scare people here over charge people and disrespect customers. They have hired unprofessional and ignorant employees. There's plenty of parking at the store. The ambiance is always BUSY, and of course, the line is typically super long, with no separate line for returns. But I don't expect too much from a Ross. The service has always been decent. They don't hassle me when it comes to returns, and I don't get rushed when shopping late. The selection is pretty good, but again, it gets stale. They need to bring in more exciting things. Swap out the furniture items. I swear in the kitchen section some of the same things have been on the shelf the past 6 months. It's nice to see new things and get new inspiration. The value is good, but I've noticed the prices getting steeper. The hangers for example. Ross is where you're supposed to go for a discount, but their hangers are pretty expensive. I guess inflation hit them too, because for some of the prices, it makes more sense to go to the regular department store. I'll still come here from time to time for quick needs or decor items. You can never go wrong with those.

That being said, ROW DTLA is a dreamscape when it comes to filming content and just catching city vibes in a safe space. Located near the Arts District this space of buildings used to be utilized for the textile industry. With multi floored buildings creating rows of foot traffic on the ground this space is perfect for events, pop ups, and get togethers. It's one of the reasons why Smorgasburg is held here on Sundays. It's why on any given weekend there may be an event being held, whether it be to celebrate AAPI month or the different creatives in the area. This space is filled with homegrown businesses and unique shops to visit. One of my favorite places is Hightide which is a Japanese stationary and supplies shop. The vibes are immaculate and walking in really feels like being in a store in Japan. Another popular space is Scent Bar for those who love perfume and are aromaphiles. With plenty of small curated artists being featured in this apothecary of aromas, Scent Bar is a nice stop whilst visiting the Row. If you're looking for interesting and discussion worthy furniture A+R is a must, located at one of the ends of the Row. For good coffee with artistic vibes you got to check out GGET (Go Get Em Tiger). Next to that if you're looking for stronger waters is Flask & Field with smaller batch and independent distilleries and crafters. All of this and the parking is free for the first 2 hours. In LA, that's unheard of! And it's a large parking structure with modern infrastructure. Blessed. With all this, hopefully ROW DTLA will continue to grow with more businesses and still retain its charm as time marches forward. Good for a short stay or half a day, if you're looking for things to do in LA proper, ROW DTLA is worth your drive.
