I am so disappointed in this business. I rarely ever give 1-star reviews (literally, check my…read morerecord), but my experience with SKIN has truly been a 1-star review. I bought a Groupon for a 60 minute facial and massage package at the beginning of September because I wanted to treat myself to some self care given that I had been having a very stressful time lately. Within a day or two of purchasing the Groupon, I went onto their website to book an appointment. They didn't have any regular availability until November, but I managed to find a one-off appointment still available at the end of October. I called the business just to double check that this was correct because I was pretty shocked by how far out the availability was and wanted to see if booking something with them through the phone would show sooner availability, but the person I spoke to explained that what I was seeing online was correct and to find an appointment through the online booking. So I booked the appointment for the end of October, got a confirmation email, and went about my business in search of other ways to self care sooner, slightly disappointed that this little treat to myself was going to be delayed. Fast forward nearly two months to the day before my appointment. My appointment was going to be on a Saturday evening. I got a text from a random number on Friday afternoon, not stating who it was or what business it was, just greeting me and stating that they were going to need to move my appointment and wouldn't be able to do my massage/facial combo at my scheduled time due to a "scheduling conflict". Through context, I understood who was texting me. Don't get me wrong though, it was a friendly text message, but this time around I was more disappointed given that I had waited nearly two months for this appointment, was looking forward to it, and had already scheduled my weekend around this Saturday evening appointment and felt like it was relatively last minute to notify me of this little more than 24 hours prior. But no matter because the text from SKIN ended with them telling me to reach back out Sunday afternoon so that they could get me on the schedule for the following week. No apologies for any potential inconvenience this might have caused, but with specific direction on when to reach out and seemingly sounding like they were motivated to make up for this "scheduling conflict" in the following week, I adjusted and set a reminder on my calendar to reach out Sunday afternoon, per their request, to reschedule my appointment. Sunday afternoon rolls around and at 1 pm I send a text back to the number that had texted me, per their request, to see when I could get on the schedule for the following week. I don't hear anything back. I send another text at 5 pm (the tail end of "Sunday afternoon") following up again. I don't hear anything back...again. Now, it's Tuesday of that "next week," Sunday afternoon had come and gone. I'm worried now because the text had said they wanted to reschedule me for this week and now we were nearing the middle of the week and I still hadn't heard anything back yet. This time, I call the number that had texted me and verified that that's the business number listed on 1) their website and 2) their Google business. It rings and goes to voicemail, but I can't leave a voicemail because the mailbox is FULL. This seems pretty shoddy practice and a bad look for a professional business. Astounded, I send one final text message following up, detailing the entire situation at hand. How they had texted me rescheduling my appointment, told me to follow up on Sunday afternoon, which I did and followed their parameters to a TEE, hadn't heard anything yet and still was awaiting their response. Fast forward to today, it has been over a full week since I sent that last text message on Tuesday and still I have heard AB-SO-LUTE-LY NO-THING from this business. I'm aghast to say the least. Ghosted by a business - who would have thought?! Completely disappointed, I finally reached back out to Groupon to cancel my order and get my money back. Unfortunately, if you don't "redeem" your Groupon deal, you're not allowed to leave a review of their business, which probably explains why they have fairly good reviews on Groupon - after all, they are all from people who actually managed to schedule and successfully HAVE their appointment. So I had no choice but to come here to leave a review detailing my terrible experience with SKIN Spa. It's frankly ironic that a massage spa business has caused me this much added stress, annoyance, and disappointment to add on to the already overwhelming pressures of my life. Completely disappointed, can't believe I was ghosted by a business, it is safe to say in all my experiences throughout my life with everything from small, local business to massive corporations, I have never experienced anything quite this maddening.

The staff is fun and always professional. I went on a Saturday and did wait a few minutes longer than Tuesday at 2pm, but WORTH the WAIT! Personally I have always had a perfect wax. Several of my friends also go to Bee Waxed and besides never having a complaint they are always happy with the outcome. They do body waxing and also sell great beauty products. If it is your first time getting waxed you will never need to go anywhere else and if you have been somewhere else you will never go back. While I was there a young lady was home for college and this was her first stop back in town. I highly recommend it. I have been going to Bee Waxed since they first opened...I wouldn't go anywhere else!
