The shows are comedic and musical, with occasional moments of improvisation. So far, I've attended two of their performances: one was The Great Gatsby that was held in a parking lot. All the attendees circled their vehicles around a stage and watched from the Covid-safe spaces in their cars. I appreciated the creativity of the performers and producers of the show to be able to provide the entertainment while not being able to be " in person." The second show was last night and was at a restaurant. We were in a private room with every table filled. It was wonderful to see smiling faces that were not peaking out from behind masks. The show was entertaining-with tons of audience participation. If you don't want to be called out or interact with the performers, this might not be the scene for you. At the end of the murder mystery, the audience votes for who they think the murderer was-AND the appropriate punishment. I loved seeing the reactions of the cast members when they took their punishment-especially when one of them had to guzzle ketchup. It was hilarious! (I also felt a little bad for him, he looked like he was going to be sick.)

There were so many adult jokes. The characters really put their heart and souls into the production! I loved the meet-n-greets at the beginning, the singing, and the story. My only complaint is that the service at the restaurant was so slow, but that's not Salty Dinner's fault. I can't wait to go to another production!

The dining room is very pretty when decorated for Christmas. I did not feel like it was crowded at all and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. No need to pay more for VIP. The food was very mid. We enjoyed the appetizer. But from there, most of us weren't too impressed. That being said the portions were generous. There was only one server to do everything for the entire room and he did a pretty good job keeping up. they do say that gratuity is included, but then ask for more money at the end. The magician John ACordo was quite funny. Part magic part comedy. He kept the show moving, and it was a very good length and he had us stumped. They often run specials. So watch for deals. a good event or a date night. No alcohol.

We loved the decor and ambience of the room! The seating is a little tight, but ok once you settle into your seat. Food: It's really fun that it's a 5-course meal: appetizer is out when you are seated, next a salad, followed by some raspberry sorbet (so yummy), then your entree, and lastly a dessert (ours was a cheesecake with a pumpkin spice mousse). We ordered the Cornish Hen and the Mac & Cheese as our entrees -- they were so good! Honestly, all of the food we had was excellent and well prepared!! Service: The two servers were very friendly and worked quickly to bring out food & clear the food for the next course. The drink service leaves something to be desired. The servers are so busy with food delivery and removing plates, they don't get much time to refill beverages (water or soda). We did find ourselves wishing that our beverages would've been refilled before the show started or there was a small pitcher of water between every two seats you could use to refill your own water cup. Show (Manifestations!): This is where the experience fell short for us. First: don't waste extra money on the VIP seats -- they aren't worth it. All of the seats have a great view of the show. Second: To us, the show seemed more like the host/magician telling personal stories of his background/acting history/accolades than actual magic. The stories were interesting, and he is a great storyteller and stories tied into the four magic tricks he performed, but I guess we just expected more of a magic show from the description and the magic part was probably less than two minutes of the total show combined. It was fun and entertaining and a fun experience, but it just didn't wow us. This was an experience we are glad we did, but we probably won't do it again.

We selected Christmas-inspired games to enhance the festive atmosphere, which added an extra level of fun and engagement for our guests. The event hosts were professional, enthusiastic, and a pleasure to work with throughout the experience. The party package included unlimited drinks during gameplay, which was appreciated, and the option to add catering was a convenient feature--which I did end up adding. The only area for improvement that I would recommend is greater attention to detail regarding their add-ons. I had added a mini trophy and ribbon as part of our party package; however, these items were not provided until after the event had concluded and many guests had already departed. This was disappointing, as the add-on was intended to be part of the celebration itself. Overall, though, the event was a success, and we'll definitely be back for more:)

Colby was our host and Justice was our producer, and they completely made the experience. They were funny, engaging, and knew how to read the room and tailor the games to our group. Both were so fun and really felt like you were on a game show. This was easily the most fun we've had together in a long time. What really stood out was how customized the whole experience felt. It wasn't just running through a script. Colby and Justice made it feel personal and special, which took it to another level. If you're looking for something fun and different to do in Salt Lake City, this is it. We can't wait to come back next time we're in town.

The only great thing about the place was the lobby and the customer service from the game master. The lobby is well maintained and it made me excited for the room. However, the room had multiple issues. The largest issue was that the AC did not work at all. This ruined the experience because we had to have the main entry door open the entire time so that way some fresh air would come in. Even with this solution, one of us were completely disengaged due to the heat, and everyone else was highly uncomfortable. Not having AC in the summer when it is 106 degrees outside is just no acceptable. Beyond the AC issues, the escape room itself was middle of the road at best. There was no flow and the puzzles were incoherent. One of the locks was left unlocked so we did not solve one of the puzzles. The room was overall cheaply made. For example, they use wall paper on a standard door to make it look like a submarine door, whereas other escape room company's would design a door that looks and feels like a submarine door. There were also 2 other cheap locks on one cabinet that one person easily guessed the combination to. Overall, I would not bring my team back to this escape room company.
