I had MoreHands come twice to clean my house. Both times, it seemed more like a superficial clean. I have 3 pets (2 super shedders), so I needed a deeper clean than I was getting. Both times after they left, I still found clumps of fur on the carpets. I also noticed that they just didn't dust certain shelves or all the railings. After providing feedback, I was informed by an employee via email that they exceeded the time allowed for each visit and were hoping the time actually went down in the future... So not only was it not an adequate clean, they were hoping they spent even less time at my house during subsequent visits. I feel like a responsible business would have contacted me and just explained that more time was needed. We could have then worked out an hourly payment plan or something. Instead, they were fine doing a mediocre clean job. All this being said, for a family that does not have multiple shedding pets this service would probably be fine. read more

Team #8 has cleaned my house for over 10 years. All I have to do is move a piece of furniture, and they clean behind it. They even found my missing driver's license that had dropped somewhere in the house. I wish More Hands Maids was in Wharton, TX too! I'd totally love them to help me with my vacation home. Consistently the best cleaning service I've ever had - ever. The office is communicative with me and the price literally can't be beat. My cleaning team (shout out to Jessica Claudia!) are so friendly and really put nice touches on everything they do - from arranging the pillows on the bed to rolling up my throw blankets and rearranging my counter. My house is spotless, nothing has ever been misplaced, broken or damaged. I will never look anywhere else. I also appreciate that the times I can't be home, the team seamlessly works with my front desk to get keys and come and go. I trust them 100%. My home is just about 1,100 sq ft and they are done in around 2 hours. read more

If I could leave no star, I would. We used the NE location, and they are absolutely terrible. We had multiple times where I had to clean after they left, including one time when they didn't even pick up the pieces of trash and paper in my son's room, nor did they mop (or if they did, they left spots all over our floor). But, I signed up for recurring service, so I wanted to honor the contract. Then, today, I am being charged $50 for cancelling, despite not receiving their email until this morning, due to it going to a junk folder. I received a reply back from Diana in their office, who informed me I must have opened the email at a certain time with a very snarky reply. I can tell you that not only will I be spreading the word to everyone we know to never use this service, I am reviewing them on here and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for their terrible practices. Do yourself a favor and book someone else. These people are over priced, second rate and rude. read more

Wonderful 5 out of 5 stars for Morehands Maid Service! Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for consistent and reliable home/apartment cleaning service! I have recently become a client of Morehands Maid Service for recurrent visits to my apartment every three weeks to be cleaned and I have been pleasantly surprised time and time again! The Montrose/Central district is my area and the two teams, Team 13 and Team 22, whom I've interacted with on separate occasions have been exceptional! Team 13 with Lorena, Martha, and Marcel and Team 22 with Carla and Lucy! They are truly lovely ladies and extremely professional! They are efficient, professional, detailed focused, and overall beyond pleasant to work with! I work from home and currently 8 months pregnant and can't clean like I'd like to. I also tend to keep my apartment rather clean in the first place since it's only myself, my husband, and our parakeet. I'm very particular on how I like things cleaned and handled and really pay attention to these details to a level of being somewhat neurotic. With that, they are super accomodating and on the first visit to my apartment, they made sure I was happy with the level of cleaning and detail for each room. They sent over a "quality control" manager over to inspect things while their team was there. I appreciated the fact that they check with me and make sure I was 100% happy with their work. The level of detail they attend to is truly great and they leave the place spotless and dustless. I don't have to worry if they missed a spot or if they rushed. I also opted to have "green" products used for cleaning in my apartment which I find is a nice touch to have. Booking the initial cleaning, correspondence, confirmations, receipts, etc. are all done online via their website. It was super convenient to designate particulars of my home, comments, extra area(s) to clean, etc. They send notifications days ahead of time prior to confirm via e-mail and also a text confirmation ahead of time the day of the cleaning before they arrive as well to give better time frames. Additionally, they always send a follow up e-mail and survey to make sure that you are satisfied or if there are any questions. Finally, one can always put a tip for the team who came and cleaned your home too when the invoice/receipt is e-mailed to you at the end of the day. I find that really convenient for the one time I didn't have cash on me to tip the team who came to clean. The gentleman whom has always responded promptly to my e-mails and surveys after the cleanings is Rob. I can go on and on about Morehands Maid Service and about Team 13 and 22 but rest assured that you are in good hands with Morehands! Definitely worth the investment, time, and communication! We requested move-out service for our apartment. After they left, we discovered that they broke a lightbulb in the socket and the pendant for the fixture was missing. The carpet (which had 3+ years of wear and tear from humans and pets) had what appear to be new large muddy footprints. Additionally, the vertical blinds were damaged, they didn't clean under the drip pans, and they shut off the AC when they left (Houston in late May). This is terrible service and I would strongly recommend avoiding them. read more

I've been using Morehands for 8 months or so, and overall, I'm happy. In general, most of the cleanings have been pretty thorough, but some teams are better than others. For whatever reason, they send a different team to my house every time, which probably contributes to some of the inconsistencies. I do a half house cleaning, plus one room, and it costs ~$100 every 3 weeks. Prices are lower for more frequent cleanings. They dust, vacuum, mop, make beds, as well as wipe down appliances in the kitchen. Like I said, some cleanings are more thorough than others. They do take email feedback after each cleaning, where you can vocalize anything they missed. They're pretty responsive to any concerns in writing. In particular, I requested deep cleaning of specific places twice, which were missed both times after requested. I was told there was a miscommunication and that they'd redo the area the next time, which they did. So, just minor inconveniences. My other issue is that the first cleaning was so spotless, it set really high standards. I notice a lot more "missed spots" these days than when I originally started with them. I'll probably stick with them, despite my minor grievances, because I like their process. I don't have to be home during the cleaning, which is very convenient. read more

This company had two chances and they blew both of them. I've had a hard time finding a good, reliable, professional and detailed cleaning service and apparently my search will continue. I called and spoke with someone to get some information about how to get cleaning services, what was included, prices, etc. I brought up that I had pets and asked if upholstery was vacuumed. I was told there was a $10 pet fee for each visit which would cover extra cleaning due to pets like vacuuming upholstery, extra dusting, etc. Ok, great. With 3 cats, you expect that. I was excited - they sounded like a good fit. On their first visit, I left a note with a few things I had already told them over the phone, mainly just specific stuff that needed to be done which wasn't by other companies like vacuuming the carpet around/under the litter box and dusting the lampshades, and to please be careful with a handmade wooden bath tray. I came home, everything seemed pretty good except the bath tray wasn't cleaned as I had requested. After every visit, the company sends you an emailed receipt along with a survey for feedback. I chose "good" and mentioned the bath tray. I received an email back the next day from the owner or management or whoever, and they told me they got my note, they translated it, and said oh - you only asked us to be careful with it. As if it's my fault. I quickly responded that asking for diligence doesn't mean don't clean the thing. It's a surface just like a counter or sink that needs to be wiped down and cleaned. Or at least I thought. Today they came again, and I had high hopes. Boy was I wrong. My couch, chairs and cushions weren't vacuumed. Lampshades weren't dusted. Coffee rings remained on the bathroom counter as well as dust and general bathroom sink buildup (see the picture!!), the bathroom tray was yet again not cleaned. Even though I specifically asked for it, the carpet underneath and around the litter boxes was not cleaned. There was trash on the bedroom floor and bedroom window sills, so I know the sills weren't dusted or cleaned. They cleaned some dishes in the kitchen but not others, the kitchen table was barely wiped down and was still grimy. They even left me a parting gift of a blue plastic cup on my unclean bath tray. Thanks! My home is barely cleaned besides the floors!! I paid $90 just to have my floors cleaned?? Screw that. Don't use this company. They're a joke with careless employees and owners/managers who will try to blame you for their errors. read more

OMG!!! Can you believe it. I am having my house cleaned weekly by this company, and they could care less about your needs. They want to be in and out like robots!!! They clean everything with the same rag, I had to ask them not to use the same rag on my counters that they used in my bathroom!! To top it all off this company sent me a message saying they could no longer wear booties over there shoes in my house!! We are in a Pandemic and this company won't supply there staff with non-slip shoe booties would not even allow me to supply them!!!! Do you know how much germs you can track in a house from outside. What would be the use for cleamong!! In my bedroom on the carpet, someone else's dirt and bacteria!! Wait I thought you were a cleaning service!!! I have service every week and because I insisted they wear booties, this company dismissed me!!! It was hard enough with the language barrier, I was never able to communicate what I needed. We have been using for almost a year now, and love this service. The crew arrives promptly as scheduled and does a fantastic job. Our house is a MESS when they get here - we have a toddler and two dogs, enough said - and when I get home in the afternoon after a cleaning, it is a serene oasis. I appreciate that they work easily by phone or by email. They've been great about accommodating special requests. They are regularly in touch about the service. Used them for a couple of years and the quality varied wildly with the teams sent out. One team bent every drain stopper (sinks) in each bathroom, one team skipped hard to see places so we did not find out until a few days later, one team was fantastic and we requested them until they both quit. Management has gone downhill as far as helpfulness and the second time I got "stood up" for a cleaning because after I called and (did not have the time or inclination to do it online, and the manager does not like that. Yes he told me to go online) I switched to another company and am happy I did. Sad I waited so long to switch , but once you get accustomed to a service provider it takes a lot to change even after repeated poor experiences. read more

We ended up canceling our services because we didn't feel we were getting what we paid for. It felt a little sloppy and we gave it multiple chances! About 4 cleanings with different groups. Team 9 was our first one and best one, I wish we could have had them every time. They never got into the corners of our house where cobwebs form and they don't clean underneath items that are on the floor/the counter (i.e. moving the coffee machine or moving the cat bowl mat) We are in the market for a cleaning service who covers all these bases, so this just wasn't for us. read more

They have gone waaaaay downhill and we are stopping service as a result. I have been using them for almost a year and have had numerous problems. The management is definitely responsive and helpful, but the housekeepers aren't that good. Last visit, we had a dirty dog ball placed in an expensive wedding gift on our coffee table. Anyone knows it didn't go there! They broke a night light which they threw in the recycle bin (?) They were obviously in a rush. Kitchen floor is never mopped thoroughly and definitely doesn't shine--bathroom floors weren't mopped or disinfected either. Dusty walls and ceiling areas and dirty corners here and there. The first few cleanings were excellent and now since we're regulars, they don't seem to give a crap. A fun little side note: one set of maids was extremely rude to my sister who is tattooed and I guess they felt that we wouldn't be smart enough to understand their talking smack about us. Well, I did and banished them from our house. BANISHED. They never send the same team twice which makes it hard to know who was in your home. Not up to my standards. read more

I have been seeing the Morehands vehicles in my neighborhood and decided to give them a call. I'll admit it - my apartment was FILTHY! I hadn't mopped in months and dust was everywhere. I signed up for cleaning every 3 weeks and I am so glad that I did! My apartment is now super clean and now I don't have to be embarrassed about my apartment. When I arrived home from work the first day I could not believe how great my place looked. Everything was in it's place too. Sometimes maids tend to move around your stuff and it can be annoying. I used Morehands for a hard core cleaning job at the end of the summer. The two person crew spent a good four hours cleaning and I was very impressed with the job they did. My granite counters were like glass they were so clean. And that clean house smell was the best. I don't think my house had ever been that clean before. Something about the supplies they use, I guess. I hired them again to do regular cleaning at my house for a few months. Their prices aren't all that competitive for regular cleaning, especially for a small 3/2 like mine. They charge extra for cleaning on a Thursday or Friday and they charge extra if there is a pet in the house as well. The regular cleaning was no where a good as the first hard core cleaning I had. Morehands sends a different crew to clean and that leads to inconsistencies in the job the cleaning team does and how the team leaves my house. Overall, using a service beats cleaning on my own, but their prices aren't competitive as using an independent contractor. read more

I am extremely picky and have gone through four different house cleaning services. No one is up to my standards. Morehands is the best I've tried. The house does get cleaned, most of the time. There have been a few times that things have been forgotten, but no one is perfect all the time. (Not even me. LOL!) The things that bother me the most are: 1) The bed pillows are never placed in the order we want them when we sleep. It should be easy to see where they are when the maids arrive and put them back in the same way, but they don't. 2) I have to put my bathroom essentials in a drawer before they come or they will be rearranged by the maids. This irritates me no end! I don't rearrange their home, why do they think they need to rearrange mine? If I put my moisturizer in a specific place it is because I want it there! 3) They don't sweep under the furniture. As I mentioned earlier, they are better than the alternatives. I have been using this company for about a year now. They do a fabulous job. We have 2 dogs and there is hair everywhere when they show up. When they leave, you would never even know there was a dog living there. My house is sparkling clean as if it was brand new when they are finished. I would use them weekly if I could afford it, but for now every 3 weeks works wonders. We recently moved and they did a move out cleaning and WOW! Every corner of the house was scrubbed from top to bottom. It ensured I received every penny of my deposit back. I love their work so much that I have transferred the service to my new house. The workers are professional and thorough and respect areas of the house you don't want them to be in as well as pay extra attention to areas that you need them to. We were looking for a house cleaning service for our house and remembered those hands on top of their cars driving around our area. Saw them on yelp and decided to sign up for a recurring service to save some money. This review is based off of our first cleaning. We were skeptical at first about hiring other people to come into our home, but our concerns were definitely put to rest. They did a great job on our 2.5-story 3-bedroom town home. Our bathroom and floors have never looked so clean, it was as if we had just moved in. They organized and neatly put away everything they could and it felt like walking into a hotel room. Just started up with a package to clean once every three weeks. The cleaners did a fantastic job - my place was spotless. They even folded my toilet paper rolls with little triangles, which was a really nice touch. I have a toilet that seems to have some sort of rusty water issue in the guest bathroom that leaves a terrible ring - they were able to scrub it out entirely. The in-laws were coming and all through the land not a creature was calm, no woman, no man the house was a wreck with clothes and dishes strewn and the parents were arriving, so very, very soon To the rescue: Morehands Maids, who arrived post-haste with dusters and vacuums, to clean up our place our home looked spotless though it didn't come cheap their services were worth it and this service, we will keep Ok, enough with the poetry. It was quite expensive in my opinion ($172 for a 2bd/2bth) and they charged extra for the pet, even though I work from home and kept my dog in my office while they were there. But, they did a great job. We have tried just about every product in the cleaning aisle on our bathtubs and could not get them as clean as Morehands did. Whatever chemical they are using, I need some. We will definitely use them again when we need a thorough clean. read more

Just had my first experience using More Hands. I chose them only because they have those awesome cars with the hands on top (and they seemed to have decent reviews). The team showed up and immediately got to work and cranked out my home in just a couple hours. I thought they did a particularly good job dusting (something I haven't been doing a good job of keeping up on my own. I also like that now that I'm in the system, I can send all changes and updates via e-mail. I'm not a phone person and happy to get things handled this way. I have been a client of Morehands Maids Service for almost 4 years and can't imagine life without them! They are wonderful! Their two-person crews are friendly, punctual and very detailed-oriented. I also appreciate how they always email me 48 hours in advance to remind me of my appointment, and that they send a post-appointment email asking me to survey my service and to note anything that wasn't completed to my satisfaction so that they can resolve it immediately. As a bonus, I appreciate how I have requested that they use particular cleaning products in my house and they have always been most accommodating. Thank you, Morehands Maids! Updated Review 10/15/20 If I could give this company zero stars, I absolutely would. As for the "many factors" that prevented this company from coming back to do the job they were contracted to do: the company did email that the crew was coming on the 5th and the "factor" was that nobody would be able to let them in (which is why you schedule and not assume random strangers can go into a home at whatever time is convenient). When we did schedule a time on the 9th, I told them a contractor would be onsite on that day and not to park in the driveway. The "factor" was a contractor at the location. Now, I understand they might not want to clean when a contractor is there, but again this is why we scheduled them, initially, to clean when the home was empty. Eventually we were going to have to move in and people would be in the home. We quickly realized there would continue to be issues with this company and after going round and round with Rob, I agreed to a partial refund where I got 60 bucks back and cut my losses. At this point, I decided that I couldn't get my time back, a full refund, or a house cleaned competently. We needed to move in and would just have to hire someone else. After partial refund we paid approx $160 for our above reviewed wipe down. I would pay twice that amount to never have to deal with a company like this ever again. read more

Hired them for their "move out" service on my apartment. == CONS == - They did not clean baseboards (though specifically stated as part of the service). Tried to argue they "wipe them down" ... I took a rag and wiped off black marks with little effort. - Left "gunk" (which can be removed with my finger) on the hardwood floors (including spilled dried wax they didn't clean up) - Left window sills untouched - Didn't clean black mold off of bathtub rim - Did a shoddy job inside the cabinets (left dirt) - Did not clean the floor right beneath the front of the refrigerator - Left "cooking grease" on the wall behind the stove (wall is tiled behind stove - clearly visible) - Did not clean the walls where obvious black smudge marks are visible (easily cleaned with a rag) - $430 for move out service - approx 4 hours of work == PROS == - Good job cleaning refrigerator, stove, counter tops, toilets, and vacuuming - Came back to "finish the job" even though they argued about the baseboards. - Refunded me 1 day's lost rent due to having to make them come back - Accidentally overcharged me but then reversed it. read more

My normal maids were overbooked so I booked with MoreHands to see if the quality would be same or better and their pricing was about the same(about 10 dollars cheaper than my other maid service). The cleaning service was honestly sub-par (floors still had particulate matter from missed sweeping/mopping) and i even paid extra for the laundry service which they didn't even do. After attempting to cancel the service I was then charged 70 dollars for the pleasure of doing so. Don't waste your money go elsewhere read more

Moore Hands has done a great job cleaning my condo. They have good attention to detail. The girls are always nice- although sometimes they seem a bit hurried to get to the next job.
