Most of the staff seemed more focused on talking to each other than helping patients. There was constant distraction, side conversations, and a lack of awareness that made the environment uncomfortable and not patient focused. It felt like they didn't care about patients actual conditions just handing out exercises. They spoke too fast, used terms without explaining anything, and assumed I already knew what I was doing. As a beginner, I felt completely overlooked and they just laugh??? Although the front desk staff hid it well you can tell they were also dismissive and acted annoyed by basic questions instead of helping when they should be the ones knowing everything not me. She's hands on, showed my exactly how to do the home exercises and why, not just a paper handout. All my previous experiences were my choice by following yelp reviews. I was new to the area , I had no clue where to go so I relied on like folks to guide my needs. Each previous experience was different. Not knowing what to expect, I was soon another patient in the "workout" room with others with various aches and pains. From my previous therapies, I did feel like it was resolving, however the pain never completely went away. After months with little change, while almost resolving to accept my pain as my new norm, I turned to a surgeon to begin to seek out my steps to finalize the pain. I began that visit by seeing the Physician Assistant - a very knowledgeable and informative PA. His prognosis was one that would be a good candidate for Physical Therapy. Oh no!, I thought, here I go again. While I'm about to interject with my experiences, he quickly followed up with " you need to see the folks over at Orthomed"... what? Who are they?. He goes on to explain the individual hands-on technique that these folks employ in their therapy.
