Since I was in an accident a couple of years ago, I've had OT and PT a lot. I've continued to try different places all over town to get the best therapy. Moreland would be the best I've had in Sparks or Reno. Monica and Larry were my therapists at Moreland. They are so knowledgeable and caring. They could both explain in detail why I was doing a certain exercise, and how that exercise would help my wrist. I appreciate the ability to log in online to get a reminder of exactly how to do my home exercises. Everyone in the office was so helpful. Conor worked magic when I was on the waiting list for a time change of my appointment. They all work as a team to help you heal. If and when you need PT check into this place. First off I LOVE the fact I always get a private room... Since I DONT LIKE being in an open room. One of my therapists is Angie and that woman is trying EVERYTHING to get my arm working again ( Rotator Cuff ( SUPER BAD ONE) and torn off bicep) She is using some suction cup thing, taping it and today we are trying acupuncture. read more

This is the best physical therapy I have been to. So friendly and caring. Everyone is just amazing!! I do dialysis the same day as physical therapy and they are very very compassionate about how I feel and what I'm able to do. Unlike previous experiences with PTs , she is very knowledgeable about anatomy and can explain the limitations and strengths of the various exercises used in my rehabilitation protocol. read more

Sad I so love Little Rob, Monica,ang , larry and all of there staff I went to therapy here 2 or 3 years ago was the most amazing experience I've ever had everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and helpful !! This time I couldn't even get through the front door I'm glad your therapy facilities are doing so well you dont need new patients now that's amazing g I called and the lady that answer the phone was Rude unhelpful I told her the perimeters of my work comp. Ins. And how it had to be handled and without even checking she instantly stated NO WE DONT DO THAT I explained thats the way it works the dr sends over the order and you call work comp get the approval and see how many visits I'm approved for she instantly argued with me so I said I'll go else where she stated THATLL BE FINE so I've sent a message to my doctors and Im Doing just that it's sad when you have uneducated staff answering your phones that dont know the actuall procedures for ins.. good luck you'll always be my favorite too bad it had to end like this a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT read more

I was ill for over 18 months (and still am recovering) and felt my body lose its muscle mass, strength, stamina, and flexibility. On top of the illness that wasted me I have pathology in my spine that leads to lots of constant pain. As soon as I was able I asked for some physical therapy sessions and Moreland Physical Therapy was highly recommended to me. Seeing so many 5-star ratings here on Yelp sold me. I took a tour of the facility and took the plunge. Moreland isn't your "assembly-line" physical therapy facility. Your therapist and staff truly keep an eye on you as you do your exercises. If you want to try a certain machine or exercise, they'll let you try it! If you have any questions EVERYONE there from the aides to the therapists will gladly give you their precious time to make sure you're not only doing the exercise correctly, but will tell you WHY. This facility also invests in itself and their patients. I've only been going there for about 6 weeks and have seen them add top-dollar machines. Personally I've only used a tiny fraction of what they have to offer and am amazed at some of the exercises that I've seen other patients do. The therapists also deal with EVERYTHING from recovery from broken bones and surgery to severely disabled folks with their caregivers. They also want you to try to do the exercises at home as the facility has a massive file drawer filled with exercise sheets so you can do what you can and want to between appointments. I've been to a couple of different places for physical therapy for my back pain and they exceeded my expectations. My therapist Angela and her team are awesome. They are a hands on place, meaning they work with you, not telling you do something for 15 minutes and don't come back to check on you. The things they have me do has helped with my chronic back pain and they have waken muscles that I didn't think I had.. Lol. The facility seems well equipped and very clean and equipment is always sanitized after each client is done. Staff is very friendly and positive. I like it that they all have a great sense of humor. A big plus in my book. Of.. course a big sign saying you'll be charged 10cents every time you whine is helpful.. Lol read more

Geri is wonderful, I've heard things I've never known before. I've been 6 times now, I'm still in pain, not her fault. Been in pain, 15 years. Wish there was an easy way out. She is working with me to get rid of it! I'll try a couple more weeks Hopefully this will get me into a much better state of mind? The staff, is very knowledgeable, they are very helpful too. If you choose Moreland Physical Therapy, I hope you are a better client for these people than I am. I like Greek food: maybe my nickname is "PITA;" an abbreviation, where the P stands for "pain"... It isn't intentional... I do need healthcare providers that WORK WITH ME. Two years ago, I moved from Las Vegas to 150 miles or so from Reno, NV. Good clean mining air, wonderful small town atmosphere, and heck, Reno, NV is just a smaller, less expensive version of Las Vegas, right? So you know I have no common sense... And if you believe any of those area descriptions, you don't have any, either... Service from businesses in my town is what I describe as the "Dastardly Desert Dragon" rapport... including the local physical therapy ("PT") shops. So, to prepare for the after-party of my January rotator-cuff repair-surgery, I went about locating 10 well-regarded PT shops in Reno, NV. There were only seven... I called them as a prospective new customer and was not able to talk by phone to a manager at any of them... A trio of them insisted that I had to make an appointment to see a PT - in other words, to spend money - just to see if I wanted to work with them. Jesus. But Kelly at Moreland PT was quite knowledgeable, and followed up the same day; one of the 3 of the PT shops who bothered to return my call. I actually decided on a very large shop as my first choice. Did I mention that I have no common sense?... Visiting all three was an epiphany. The large shop was all about the hard sell, endless hard-line rules, and the boss's ego. They did have lots of extra things they aggressively encouraged me to spend lots of extra money on... 'Went to another one and discovered that they would be willing to accept my money, they were just too important talk with me... There are plenty of reasons why I am a difficult client, but the 3 that come to mind at the moment are that this is my body, my life and my money we are playing with here, not theirs. Period. Kelly patiently followed up; no hard sell, no big ego, just inviting me to come see who they are. Unlike the typical sedentary American, I expect to work my tail off, plus eat and sleep right to get good results. I research my situation before and after seeing a doctor. Side note: experience on my behalf and for others that I volunteer to help is that PT shops associated with a surgeon's office are expensive as hell and seldom the good ones... For your better good, I wish you the resolve and determination to do the PT exercises well at home, as I did, everyday. You really can be Superman or Wonder Woman compared to the average American who just shows up at PT having done nothing. And a good PT makes it all more effective. So at Moreland, I talked with a PT named Gary. He is on his game; might actually enjoy putting up with me... My schedule just didn't fit his. See, I volunteer. That means I make that ungodly drive through some really heavenly country to the somewhat Basque town of Reno, NV to take people to Reno for medical care. I figure that - as contrary as I choose to be - I need to do something to make up for my attitude... But I need a PT on the day that I volunteer. So, they set me up with another very talented PT. My rotator cuff tear had all the finesse of Donald Trump's twitters and Hillary Clinton's email security... So post op, the surgeon wouldn't let me do squat for 6 weeks, which was okay because, driving for other medical patients when I am one myself with a useless dominant arm didn't seem like common sense. Naturally, in the mean time, the volunteer service decided to make my schedule variable... Amazingly, Moreland PT worked with me. It wasn't easy. Good luck finding that anywhere else in Reno. One time, Gary helped: he is quite good. A couple of times Monica Moreland herself helped; seamless, friendly professionalism. No one skipped a beat. I made a point of re-visiting my technique on every visit - and there were always several somethings to do better. Who knew that you have to point your thumbs the right way all the time?... They were on their game. Even staff not assigned to me were helpful. My shoulder got better and they put up with my sense of humor... As a result, in June, the surgeon released me two and a half months early!! I wish you well in your pursuit of a better you: the more diligent you are at doing PT with a good operation like Moreland, the more functional you will be in your future life. I was a patient twice at Moreland Physical Therapy. Once for shoulder after rotator cup surgery, and once for pinched nerves in back. I can not say enough good things about the care and results I got there. The therapists I worked with listened to what I had to say, and designed therapy and home exercise around it. My surgeon said he had never seen anyone heal from double rotator tear as fast as me, and I am in my sixties. All because of therapy and following up with home exercises.
