Super friendly staff and table are always clean. Brought some friends for lunch since this is a go to place of mine. They gave us free chips and salsa and that are super tasty and spicy. The chorizo tacos were good with homemade tortillas. My friend ordered the fried fish mojara but he mainly picked at it. My boyfriend got the torta and he wasn't a fan of it, it was just lacking flavor. I ordered the shrimp zarandeado with carne asada. The shrimp were delicious and spicy but sadly my carne was tough to chew. I usually leave here pretty happy, but this time left a little disappointed. We went here in search of authentic Mexican food and we did not leave disappointed. The menu has a number of options you don't see on most Mexican restaurant menus, the servings were large and it was all very tasty. I had the enchiladas Suizas, the Burris beef was moist and flavorful. Our friend went for the grilled chicken and boy did she get it, a wonderful half a chicken. The wife went for the chicken burrito, "wet style" and she really appreciated the flavors and the tender chicken. Service was fast and attentive, the prices were moderate. On the Southern Washington taco tour, made an unexpected stop without looking into much about this spot. Service was friendly and very fast. Tried multiple types of tacos and a burrito. Were served chips and salsa. Good but not great. All the meats in the tacos were fine. Not fabulous. Spices/marinades juts slightly different from what we're used too in the chorizo, pastor and even asada. Maybe too heavy on the cumin? Salsas were way too watery. Liquid juts dripped from the tacos and burrito. Salsas were mediocre at best. The burrito has lettuce in it. Was not expecting that. So be sure to double check in that if it's not your thing. There was a ton of other options on the menu. Lots of mariscos. They might be doing some things very well. Wouldn't come back for tacos or burritos though. read more

It is also in a foodie nirvana strip mall with an Asian, Latin and Russian grocery stores. The parking lot is not big but there is a urban ghetto parking lot next door. LOL I had a carnitas wet burrito ($6.99) and a chicken taco ($2). They were both good but not the best I have ever had. The carnitas was pulled too much and the chicken was a little dry. Sign said $4.99 burrito combo so I went with that - didn't say what it came with, and I didn't ask. I didnt get a drink so thinking it includes beans and rice, and i even got some chips and salsa to minch while I waited. Homemade GOOD spicy salsa btw. I think their burritos automatically come smothered w red sauce since the other pics had it too. I didn't care for it since it was kind of a sweet tomato sauce vs the kind of savory sauces I'm used to. It somewhat ruined the flavor of my yummy chicken burrito so I would ask for it dry if I go back. Also got a chorizo taco just to try. Pricier than their neighbor Don Pedro at $2 vs $1.30 but still good. I'm sad that every yelp pic has avocado and tomatoes garnishing everything, but for me - nada. Great, authentic food at very reasonable prices. Exceptional atmosphere for a "hole in the wall" type Mexican place. They have nice murals on the walls and decent furniture, and everything is very clean and well kept. My only complaint is that their soda machines seem to have their proportions off as all of the soda tastes sort of weak. Next time I will get a bottled soda, but there will definitely be a next time. I had the burrito viva Mexico, and my husband had the nachos. Both were tasty. They also have a good kids' menu. I'm anxious to try their tacos and some of their breakfast foods as well as a few other menu items. Visited Morelia for the first time tonight and had a tasty first experience. It is a no frills Mexican restraunt with a solid authentic food selection, great serve-yourself salsa and condiment bar, and very pleasant service. We tried a carnitas torta and several different tacos. Nicely executed dishes in authentic fashion. The torta had great bread and loaded with meat. Tacos were good but not great. There were several seafood dishes that looked very good....maybe next time. The woman working offered incredible service and was very sweet. Walked into Morelia on Tuesday September 26th. At first I was impressed by their large menu, seemingly friendly service, and horchata. I got a taco and my client got a large platter of steak and eggs. She ate part of her meal and bugged out her eyes and reached in and pulled out a piece of plastic. The piece was about the size of a coaster and it was likely from the lettuce it was sitting under. She put it on a napkin and we got the waitress' attention. I know restaurants make mistakes and are only ran by humans, so upon telling the female working there she ran her meal to the back and took the plastic with her and offered to remake her plate. My client decided that she wanted her money back instead of them remaking her food. When she asked, the male working said that,he usually doesn't do that. (Return people's money back to them). Then the interrogating questions began. First he asked why "we" didn't see the plastic first. My client told him that it was underneath the lettuce. More than once he asked her where the plastic was. He made it clear that he didn't believe her when she said that the waitress had taken it back with the food I had to step in and say "We double checked through the napkins, the waitress took it back with the food." Then he again insisted that we should have seen the plastic upon the foods arrival. By this, he's insinuating that she planted the plastic there. As he proceeded to return her meal, he again tried to make her feel like he was doing her a great favor by doing so. My client double checked her judgement on the way out. He genuinely made her feel bad for asking for her money back, and that's not right. She's a woman with a disability. She was just trying to go out and have a nice meal and instead this man made her feel bad for returning her food upon finding a sizable chunk of plastic in it. He turned a manageable, forgettable mistake into an interrogation and made her feel bad and shameful over something that she very clearly didn't do. She had maybe a 4th of her meal at the very most and he made her feel like she was scamming them. I understand he was being thorough because there are scammers everywhere, but he was bitter on the loss of funds which is why he continued to give my client a bad time. So I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone in town. Not because of the plastic, but because of the bad management and poor treatment of customers. read more

Went here for a late lunch on Wednesday. And truth me and my friend we're hungry. Like hurry up hungry. Lol. So I ordered my 4 vegan sopes. A side of beans and some chillis torreados ( roasted chilli peppers). And my friend ordered chevichi and the grilled chicken plate. My friend told me he was going to dash off to the Mexican grocery store in the same strip mall; to pick up some tamales chicken tamales to be precise. He's extremely picky when it comes to tamales and these ones he loves(hint for any chicken tamales lovers out there) he returned shortly theircafter. Without the tamales. He said the person that normally makes the tamales took a day off. So we both took a seat in a corner booth. The waitress had already delivered a basket of corn chips with a little cup of salsa. Which I had been munching on. The corn chips were a nice addition. They didn't taste freshly cooked but none the less they were good and not stale. The salsa was really just pure tomatoes as their was no spice. even before my friend returned they had delivered his chevichi. And shortly after that perhaps 5 mins I got my 4 sopes. And less 5 minutes later my friends grilled chicken plate arrived. We didn't have to wait long at all. Oh no roasted chilli peppers so I mentioned it to the server and she acknowledged me very nicely. And said she would return with them. Now dig in. We were both so hungry I don't think a word was exchanged between the two of us for the next 10 minutes. The sopes were good. And the side of beans were good too. They get extra points for having no problem grilling the sopes instead of deep frying. They were tea cupped size and a little thicker then what I'm used too. their wasn't much on top but it was tastey. Beans ,lettuce a few diced tomatoes, and a couple of thinly sliced avocados. The waitress returned with the grilled chillis and 3 plastic bottles of salsa. (Frown plastic ketchup dispensers) one was green salsa not good at all. The other 2 were red salsas they were ok. The 2 roasted chilli were really good had nice kick. I finished 3 of the sopes and took home the 4th one My friend liked his cevichi; but he wasn't loving his grilled chicken said it was too dry. I did notice he managed to finish it all. If I had to say anything the beans were too salty. And I wish they had better salsa.(not in plastic dispensers) they do have a small condiment dispenser that has pickled jalepenos, carrots radishes, cucumbers and limes. But I didn't find any little plastic cups,bags or holders to put any thing in. I guess I should have asked. For drinks I noticed they had horchata. And refrigerated assortment of Mexican favourites like jarritos. Also they have self serve soda dispenser. It would have been nice if they had some fresh juices (aquas frescas) like tamarindo or melon but they don't. At least during my visit.. So I just drank water. All and all Morelia was good. I'm totally looking forward to my next meal here. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Morelia reminds me of the type of Mexican restaurants that we have back home in Phoenix. Not complicated. Easy in easy out. No pretention, very casual and relaxed. read more

N side of E Fourth Plain Blvd E of Stapleton (same lot as Don Pedro) Fast Casual type restaurant Ok...my description of this place is probably going to seem like it warrants a 5 star rating, but my main reason for not doling that out is the fact that their menu is more limited than many other places I've been too and on a much smaller note its palate is a little dark inside. The menu here is limited to Nachos, Tacos, Burritos, and Quesadillas, BUT everything they do here they do amazingly. Service is extremely nice and helpful. They offer Karaoke here, but I would imagine (and I could be wrong) that theirs is geared more toward those whose first language is Spanish. I'm not positive because I haven't witnessed Karaoke here. The venue is kind of unassuming and from the outside looks much smaller than it actually is because their sign is over their right door, however... they do have another door that obvious regulars used located on the left side of the restaurant. Seating came in the form of regular tables and booths in this spaces fast casual restaurant. I say fast casual because they use real flatware and the food is delivered to you hot when ready! I was able to taste each and every ingredient which I appreciated. What I especially liked is that the meat possessed two flavor profiles. One was a more traditional Carne Asada seasoning and marinade as well as a Taco Seasoning flavor. Rather than be put off by the latter I found it enjoyable for two reasons. 1. Because I'm part Mexican and Part Caucasian and 2. Because I actually enjoyed this flavoring... it was both familiar and delicious. The Burrito was massive so I assure you that one will be plenty to satisfy most appetites! I could not and did not end up eating dinner that evening. I was just way too full from this meal! Searched the map on my Yelp app for "tacos" in an area around Vancouver Mall where I was shopping. Morelia Mexican Grill seemed pretty good and they were in the direction I was headed, so that was my destination. They are located in a strip mall quite a ways back from the street, so I missed them and drove right by them the first time. After turning around and coming back, it was good to see there were plenty of parking spaces available thanks to their strip mall location. I ordered three tacos with my three favorite "benchmark" meats: carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor. It was nice that they gave me free chips and salsa even with such a small order. Their carne asada didn't have that good grilled "beefy flavor" that some others have, and it had some gristle too, which was a bit unappealing. Carnitas was OK. The al pastor was my favorite of the three because their recipe included little chunks of pineapple. Some places have pineapple in their al pastor, and some don't. . .and I like the ones that do. Overall, I would say that Morelia Mexican Grill is about "average" in the wide spectrum of taco places I've been to. read more

We have been eating here over the years and the cooks are great, the food is great and most of the time the service is wonderful. Lately though in the last few months, there has been a change in staff. The last girl, I think her name was Michelle, no longer works there and now we are left with this half pint, sassy thing, who has a sailors mouth and walks around looking like she hates her job and hates us for coming in to eat (aka bother her). So we've decided not to take the family there anymore. We've been there at least 10 times over the last few months and she just makes the entire dining experience miserable. I went here on some friend's advice. They recommended the Burrito Verde ($6.80) and Nachos ($6.95). The Burrito Verde was DYN-O-MITE. Unlike some previous reviewers, I went beef. Really flavorful, HUGE. Lots of melty cheese and verde sauce. I recommend highly (temperature was smokin' hot - be careful). We also shared the Nachos. Beef on that as well. Quite good, but could have used more cheese (honestly I think the burrito had more cheese). Parking is tough and the decor is nothing to write home about - but who cares. Massive, delicious burrito. I was craving some nachos so I Yelp searched it and came up with this place. The first 'review highlights' mentioned the nachos so, I figured it was a sure thing. Based on other reviews, I literally think everything else they make is better than their nachos. They were just okay. All the ingredients were fresh to include freshly made chips. But, if nachos come with that 7-11 nacho cheese sauce that is dispensed with a hand pump and cold shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled over the top of everything, not what I'd call restaurant grade nachos. If you come here for any other dish, I think you'll be pleased. If you're looking for some best of class nachos, find a tavern where that's their thing. read more

A very generous bowl of Guacamole. The wife and i both had tacos. We ordered 2 Carne Asada's, 2 Carnitas and 2 chickens. The portions were huge. We couldn't eat the tortilla's on the last ones. Just ate the meat. I just wish the chicken was thigh instead of breast meat. Great and lots of it, I'm just a chicken dark meat guy.
