As a veteran with a 100% disability rating, my dental care is usually handled through the VA. This was the first time I was referred to an outside specialist for a root canal, and I was little hesitant at first. However, the experience exceeded my expectations. Dr. Fowler took the time to clearly explain the procedure beforehand and continued to explain what he was doing throughout the process. His work was quick, efficient, and very well done. His professionalism and experience really made the visit a positive one. The staff were also very friendly and supportive, and the office was quite clean and well organized. I noticed some reviews mentioning the absence of crowns, but it appears this office specializes strictly in root canals. It wouldn't be fair to rate them on a service they don't provide. 11-18-2025 Had a complete oral exam, and had to have a root canal done... Remember people, you're having oral work done in your mouth, so you're going to be nervous / cautious... Dr. Fowler is a straight shooter, no pun intended, he walked me through the entire process, asked me if I had any questions, and or concerns, and I said, what about the pain... He assured me, "I Got You", if you feel ANY pain, just raise your left hand and we'll adjust as needed... He numbed me up and just told me to relax, because he saw me tensing up when the needles came out, HOWEVER, there was no pain during the numbing process... I raised my hand ONCE, he adjusted, I didn't have any concerns and he finished like the professional that he is... I had zero pain when I left his office, I actually went out to eat directly after I left his office... I picked up my medication and took it as prescribed and had zero pain since ... I was referred to Moreno Valley Endodontics by my regular dentist (Canyon Crest Dental) in June 2023 for a root canal. It was my first time experiencing such excruciating tooth pain and I was naturally scared and anxious because I had never had a root canal done before. When I came to MVE, they were running late as the patient before me had complications. I had another place to be right after because I needed to sing for a previously scheduled event. Luckily, the lovely Minna Chun (who is no longer at MVE) assisted me, listened to my concerns, and had me out by the dental office in time for my singing gig! During the root canal, I was surprisingly relaxed and it was quicker than I thought! I am someone who has a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist. I've had few experiences where I leave feeling better BUT everything changed today when I went to Moreno Valley Endodontics. I was referred by Canyon Crest Dental and Dr. Fowler treated me. Everyone from the front desk to the doctor were amazing! Such a sweet, caring staff. If I could give a negative 5 to Dr Fowler I would. I am a disabled veteran and the VA refered me to Dr Diaz but my procedures were done by Dr. Fowler and he completed a root canal and a cavity. After the procedure NOt before I was told that they do not place the crown on however the advertisement for MV Endodontist says they crown your teeth. This was my 1st red flag and getting this appointment within 2 days was my 2th red flag. Dr. Fowler completed these 2 procedure in just one day I still had pain in my mouth after about the eight day. So... I came in for a second appointment to ask questions and Dr Fowler was visibly angry and verbally combative that I had come back. He refused to answer a simple question I asked and kept repetitively telling me a step by step of the procedure he had done on me prior. I asked Dr Fowler atleast 4 times about crowns but still never answering my question about crowning. I asked him about my teeth not feeling even on both side and he argued with me about that too. Then out of nowhere and without telling me what he was doing He started aggressively, drilling in my mouth and liquid was continued to drop on my face and he or assistant DID NOT wipe my face. I had to wipe it. After the drilling, I began to cry and no one including the dental assistant gave me any sympathy. It was honestly scary having someone drilling in my mouth yet not being able to answer a simple question about tooth crowns . It was thee worse dental experience I've ever had! Almost Immediately after I left the office he called me and apologized for a "miscommunication " not from treating me unprofessionally and without care. I would never treat another human being like Dr. Fowler treated me, not even the front desk staff had any sympathy for my experince at their office. Its been two weeks now and I still Do NOT have crowns and I have pain in my jaws and mouth. I do not feel safe to go back to this establishment and I would not recommend anyone here. read more

I was able to get seen the same-day for a root canal due to having a broken tooth. Was seen by Dr Diaz and she was so kind and put me at ease after I explained how anxious I am towards dental work. This was my first root canal and it was quick and virtually painless. Even got to enjoy listening to Dr. Diaz carry a sweet tune while she hummed a song that was playing. My daughter came here to get her root canal done. She has severe anxiety so she had to go under anasthesia. The surgen who complete the procedure was very kind however knowing she has severe anxiety he did not think to put a crown on right then and there. The reason for that was because "the dental office that sent over the paperwork didnt make a note/comment about that and thats not something we usually do." It was poor thought. She now has to go under anasthesia again to put a crown on when it could have been prevented by doing so at the one appointment. read more

So I had to go to Moreno Valley Endodontist to have a root canal done. They are charging me $180 for a CT scan that my insurance company did not cover. And this office knew it was not a covered item with my HMO Delta dental plan. And or they didn't even bother to get approval to see if I was covered for a CT scan with Delta dental HMO insurance before my set appointment time with them .Which is this office is fault. For what it's called and they're Industry preapproval.I had the root canal done and I was charged $610 that day. When I asked before I paid with my credit card credit card with synchrony Bank if that's all I had owed they said yes so.I was charge $610 for a root canal I had to put on my credit card. I get a bill from my insurance company a week and a half ago stating that I owe Moreno Valley endodontist. $180 for a CT Scan that the Asian lady doctor Chang I believe her name was if I'm not mistaken had her assistant do. When I filled out the paperwork for the office which I'll show you proof up with a picture and another picture of what I was charged $610 on my credit card with credit card. The form that I filled out at the doctors office yes it did say I was responsible but at that time that I signed the paper. The amount of the services of the CT scan were not added on to that file of paper that I had signed of approval which she will see in the picture. I called my insurance company up and they said that this is not covered at all and that this Office should've called for a preapproval.And procedure code# D0364. Now this office is charging me $180 for a CT scan that they knew or acted as if they didn't know that it was not covered by my insurance company now they're charging me for it. As you will see in the picture what I signed was not marked on the paper the day that I had signed it it was added after I had left the office. When I asked them if that's all they owed for the procedure was $610 they said yes. Today when I spoke with Leticia on April 13, 2023 she said that the Doctor Who performed the services always has her patients get a CT scan. So that means that this doctor just automatically charges the patient for a CT scan when she knows it's not covered by insurance company this is unprofessional and I'm going to report this office at the doctor to state board, malpractice. If you were the office manager or business owner of this office you better call me personally to my cell phone number which you have on your records to rectify this issue because this is unfair. I called this office up today and spoke with I thought was for the girl by the name of Eli which was a lie it was Evelyn the business manager I was speaking to and she said her name was Ali because she didn't want to take responsibility for their fuck up's when I spoke with Leticia today and advised her I wanted to speak with Ali she told me that Eli was gone for the day and that the business manager Evelyn was there. That means Evelyn lied to me and told me her name was Ali because she didn't want to deal with me with this issue. Dental work was great however, they will try to get you for your money! and I knew this before my visit because I seen previous comments so I was ready for them to pull any bs so of course, after a couple of visits, I got a surprise bill in the mail so I called right away and she said "I have to talk to your insurance, I will give you a call back"...she never called back so I called again the next day and she said "sorry, we're so busy, I haven't had a chance to call your insurance" but that was just bs because she knew I didn't owe anything. What a kind, gentle, and caring dental office this is. Recently, I was lucky enough to need my very first root canal. I had been in excruciating pain for days, and another endodontist turned me away and told me he couldn't get me "comfotable" enough to do the procedure. I called Dr. Diaz' office and she and her staff got me in the same day. Obviously I lwas nervous since I've never had dental work before, so the staff brought me blankets, cool rags for my neck, and made sure I was comfortable. They were so sweet and patient. Dr. Diaz performed the whole procedure and I didn't feel a thing. I cannot adequately express how the entire office mobilized to help, put me at ease, and gave me some much needed relief. BEWARE! Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache. Dishonest billing practices! I have in writing in an email exactly what the cost breakdown is which was paid in full. Was told consultation fees will be included if services were rendered. Consultation fee was billed at $186.00! Insurance does not cover this fee and they billed our insurance twice, twice it was denied. After the bill was paid in full or so we thought they sent the secondary bill direct to us claiming we are responsible for something that was supposed to be included. My 11 year-old granddaughter's pediatric dentist diagnosed a root canal on one of her permanent molars. Due to her age he recommended that she see a specialist and that she should be put under general anesthesia. I referred her to Dr. Kurt Marcks because he has taken such wonderful care of my husband in the past. She was given an appointment on an emergency basis on Monday and was treated immediately. She had a wonderful experience. Due to the care, kindness and superior treatment, her procedure was performed under local anesthesia. I talked to her Monday night and she was feeling fine. The pain she was experiencing prior to her treatment was gone. She loves Dr. Kurt and has even made a pet rock and named it after him. She also named her new Pound Puppy Kurt. I can not think of a better recommendation than that. read more

I was charged a 175 fee for a CBCT scan by Dr. Retomosa before I knew it was a scan NOT covered by insurance. I was given the price after being given the estimate regarding the root canals I would need. I brought money for 1 root canal which was a co pay of 122.00 but the 175 dollars for the CBCT scan was more than the out of pocket for the root canal. When I saw the price of the scan I couldn't pay for the root canal. I had to go to my car and transfer money from my savings to pay for this scan. I signed an "estimate" AFTER the cbct scan and that should have been given to me BEFORE the scan so I could refuse the scan and save the money for the root canal. I went somewhere else and had the tooth pulled for a 25.00 co pay. Today is saturday and the office is closed so I left a message for their accounting but of course they did this on purpose so they just made 175.00 but I will be filing a complaint with the CDA and see who else I need to inform. Patients need to be told that the CBCT scan is NOT a regular x ray and is 175.00 BEFORE they are given so that they will refuse if they can't afford this scan plus their dental care. The team there was very helpful with explaining what needed to be done and they even talk about 2 different options. Prices are always a quote and never guaranteed. He had he work done and than covid hit so the regular dentist was never able to finish the work and put a cap on his tooth. So now we're back here again and they have been great. I went to have two root canals done because of an abscess under a five tooth bridge, a real involved procedure. Was referred to Moreno Valley Endodontics by family dentist. After exam, office staff told me that they had to call my insurance to get authorization. They told me they would call me after they contacted them. After two weeks without hearing from them, I had to call them back. I was told that they were waiting to hear back from my family dentist. Because that didn't make sense, I called my family dentist. I was told they haven't had any request from Moreno Valley Endo. I was later told by my family dentist that this dentist failed to call my insurance company and had made up the story about waiting for a call from my family dentist. The staff at this office is either incompetent or they are liars. Also they are only open 4 days a week which limits any appointments or availability for urgent or follow up care. The Office is located in the seedy part of "Moval" and would not send my wife or kids there because of safety concerns. read more
