I have been using Moreno for shoe repair for over 20 years. I work in Chicago but also have a home here in Houston. I am very hard on my shoes and often need them resoled. I do invest in very good leather shoes and boots. This trip gets 5 STARS! I brought my Coach boots in Thursday afternoon and told him that I needed them resoled and ready by Saturday afternoon because I had to fly back to Chicago Sunday morning. Definitely one of the worst places I even had service in! I took some boots in the repair the heel and when I came by to see the progress, one of the boots heels was placed so badly it was lopsided. When I pointed it out, the guy said "I'll be cutting the heel to fit the shoe" in a bad attitude, even though the actual heel is glued incorrectly. Don't spend your money and your time, and don't dare you risk ruining any shoe you own at this place. read more

Even agreeing to his crappy work he asked me to come back after handing over his completed work!! Do not waste your money coming here they do not do a good job! Omg, run for the hills. This is really 0 stars. I took a boot in for a simple heel tap to be reattached. The guy behind the counter took my boot to the back and returned with it upside down saying just hold this in place, but I couldn't focus on what he was saying for noticing the glue that he had waisted on my suede boots. When I pointed it out, this individual said, "That was already there." Spots of wet glue was there when I walked in! I was so disappointed, that I couldn't help from turning to walk out faster than I walked in. Sad place of business. read more
