We stopped in for breakfast, I ordered Menudo and a side of rice. Menudo was bland and the rice was mushy. Not worth eating. However my wife's beef and bean smothered burrito was excellent. Chili was hot and good flavor. read more

Great place for a burger or burrito. Family run and they are all great. Go almost weekly and have never left unhappy.

I asked about a good menudo restaurant on a local forum as we just moved to Colorado from California, this place was mentioned several times as exceptional so gave it a try, absolutely our new go to. It's a little corner market in front of the store, and the same family runs a small restaurant in the back! Mom, dad, daughter, granddaughters all cooking and serving up the food, the brother runs the front, it's like you walked into your Tias house the food is so delicious and fresh, and the great atmosphere is a plus, I ordered a little of a few different things to try and nothing disappointed, smothered burritos, taquitos, menudo, Chile verde, YUMMMMM ! Back in 2005, when I attended the University of Northern Colorado, Morenos has been outstanding. My dad told me about the location, and ever since, it has been excellent. A small general store, yes, but a great restaurant to get food. I remember a while ago it being run by the mom and dad, and now I believe it is the children running the place. The food still tastes great, and I made a visit just recently and loved the customer service. More so, it was delightful as I once received so many years ago to be the same. I love the food and the friendly atmosphere. This cherished spot is a gem and no comparison to other Mexican restaurants. Very kind caring owners. They treat their patrons like family. The food is excellent!!!! It don't look like much on the outside but on the inside a feast awaits to Update: we've been back a few times since my last review and I must say it's so so good ! We recently ordered through a second party "grub hub", and it wasn't what I expected at all. We promptly contacted the store and Mike was so apologetic and offered too make it right immediately. This place has been here for a long long time, and it's because they are absolutely genuine to the community and are very professional good down too earth people. Thank you guys for everything, clear down to the restaurant hospitality. I would recommend too most, go to the store and eat rather than having it delivered through a second party. Came here for the first time as we were in town. I must say, they exceeded my expectations. It's a family owned mom and pop mini grocery store with a restaurant inside. I was welcomed by very nice gentlemen. Seemed like the entire family was there to help a hand. We ordered smothered tamales and menudo. The tamales were more than deliciously smothered, their green chile was on point with hearty chunks of pork and big strip of chile. I have tried lots of tamales in my life and theirs were amazing and unique. The red pork was plentiful and with a much tastier masa blend. The menudo was just like having menudo at grandmothers house. On point! I support these guys 100% with their family-friendly hospitality and delicious food. Thank you to The Morenos. read more

Ordered food from them via Order up. Their smothered burritos are amazing, tacos are some of the better hard shell ones I've had and then the tamales are in my top 3 local spots. The burritos were smothered with green chili and their chili has long strips of the chili in it, which I hope they don't ever change since that is what makes the green chili for me. This place has awesome burgers. You would never know it by looking at the outside of the place but this place can make a double cheeseburger that blows away any competition. I am sure the other food there is good as well I have just never tried anything else. read more

Family owned, Moreno's is a little bit of everything as the name implies. Decent food as well as Store Type items. They re-built after a terrible fire. Give Moreno's a try for lunch. You could do much worse!! read more

(Closed Monday's) I have had nothing but great food and friendly service at a very reasonable price. They have a 4.5 rating mainly for friendliness on Google.
