A treat after a staying consistent with my intermittent fasting, working out, and drinking water. I wanted a scoop of their chocolate (I forgot what the flavor was called) and waited for them to make the rocky road milkshake for Ronnie. While waiting and enjoying my generous scoop of ice cream, I saw the cute little cow in the back of the counter by the window, and asked if they were on sale. It was! It was only $3. Stopped by Morgan Hill Creamery and tried the banana ice cream with nuts and a caramel drizzle. The banana flavor really came through. I did think the portion was a bit small for the price though. The shop is cute, very clean, and has a simple, inviting vibe. Seating is a little limited, but the location is great, so it's an easy stop if you're in the area. I was excited to try this place out because I associate "creamery" with a higher level of ice cream enjoyment. Picture this: It's an unusually hot Saturday afternoon in October and you've just spent 2.5 hours in a partially shaded area of a park for your nephew's 2nd birthday. Mind you, I don't have kids and prefer cold weather, so I'm purely there for the fam. Your friend and you are looking to Yelp for a nearby spot to get some sweet, cold, creamy goodness. When I saw that they serve Marianne's ice cream, I was looking forward to the deliciousness even though I was slightly disappointed because I had thought a "creamery" would make their own ice cream. When we arrived, the line wasn't very long, but the 2 parties ahead of us took a while to make decisions about what to order. No worries. The air conditioning felt glorious. When it was our turn, the girl working the counter was super friendly. No frills. No fuss. But also no seating inside. I ordered a mini of a flavor that I had enjoyed from Marianne's in the past. However, this time the ice cream wasn't as smooth and creamy and I had remembered. It felt icy. :( I felt their portion size was good for a mini, but a bit pricey for a spot that was serving someone else's ice cream. I'd happily pay those prices for a scoop that was made in house. Wow, such great flavors and fantastic portions. I actually had a hard time finishing my double cone but you know I got to the bottom of it! They proudly serve Marianne's ice cream which is kinda an institution in these parts. What an amazing place to get a high quality cone that really represents the area well. Morgan Hill is fortunate to have these smaller companies available and establishing their business in the heart of the town. Don't stop supporting smaller and local businesses if you have the budget for it. Also, they seem to employ a lot of younger folks that really were professional and respectful on the customer service end. I was impressed by their demeanor and I love that they are taking some enjoyment out of serving ice cream. We used to love the ice cream shop that was in this location previously. Ever since it's been "Morgan Hill Creamery" it's been a major disappointment. We came shortly after they had first opened, and the toppings were stale. We didn't come back until yesterday and I was shocked with how expensive the prices were, and how little ice cream you get (see photo). To make matters worse, the person serving the ice cream was wearing gloves that looked like they had been worn for hours. Various ice cream and food debris on them. Eew. Change your gloves every once in awhile. You're handling my cone, bro. read more

I was utterly disappointed when my first bite of what was supposed to be a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with vanilla ice cream, tasted like it had been vaped on. it tasted like watermelon sherbert, after taking a second bite but from the other side the flavor had now changed to mint and chip. also the menu had described it as being in between two warm cookies. they were infact rock hard. clearly this place does not properly clean their scooping utensils, and cuts corners. do better! read more

Husband wanted a waffle cone they were out so he got the like mass produced looking waffle cone, not the kiddie/sugar cone. It came with less ice cream than I got in my cup and was $9. I also got handed the messiest ice cream cup ever. They wear gloves, but I'd rather they just washed their hands and skipped the gloves. Gloves don't mean anything if they're disgusting. The flavor choices are pretty slim. I was thinking a milk shake or a Sunday but the only thing showing on their menu was cups/cones. MH has so many just mediocre ice cream places now. What I like about the creamery is that it's signifies what ice cream creams have nuts in it which is incredibly helpful given the fact I'm severely allergic. The ice cream here is always amazing. I've had the salaried Carmel before and would give it a 10/10 today. The coffee today was good, but I would give it 9/10. My sisters got chocolate fudge with chocolate syrup and Oreos on top and they would give it a 10/10 as well. The service is great, the workers are always kind and give large portions.
