The sweethearts that represent the bakery shop...(aka;high school bullies)

Born with a silver spoon in their mouth, very entitled condescending attitudes. Pictures speak volumes you guys can see for yourself how she came up on me. She approached me aggressively outside of work lmao but pretends to be proper at work behind the counter. Looks can be deceiving. Maybe she licks her pastries like Ariana Grande smh take a look at the pictures.

We stopped by for drinks after dinner now that Lawson's Bakery is open Thursday-Saturday 5pm-9pm. Their pastries look so delicious. I now know where I can buy cakes for parties. They have burnt almond cake and carrot cake. Our family favorites. I ordered the Spicy Mango Margarita which was just the right amount of spicy and refreshing. Hubby ordered the Honey Bee, which was just the richer amount of sweet and yummy. Our server was friendly and gave us good recommendations. The ambiance was inviting. Both indoors and outdoor seating. Will be back to try the other pastries and drinks.

First time to this new location as I use to go to the other one years ago. Great spot and easy to get in and out. I had some time on my hands so figured I'd come by and glad I did. I was in the mood for pancakes and eggs but also love a good breakfast burrito. Figured I could order both and eat the burrito later. The pancake and eggs by far the best I've had in a while. The texture and taste were unbelievable. Maybe I've just never had good pancakes but this is my now favorite! The eggs also were great! Bravo to this place for making amazing pancakes! The breakfast burrito I was able to eat a bit and finished later in the day. Very well recommended but the pancakes for me are the star of the show! I'm excited I found a place like lawsons bc great atmosphere whether it's just to relax or eat a nice meal. Looking forward to coming back for lunch and trying their menu! Highly recommend!

I have been a long time customer, I have always had a good experience. I like their cookies and the food items. Most recently I had the veggie sandwich, very good. Coffee here is also good. I've had the cakes here, they are good. I just feel that the cakes are very sweet. I've had their pumpkin pie during Thanksgiving and I do enjoy that. Overall I'm glad we have this bakery in town and I like the new location even though parking is a little difficult. The bakery has a decent amount of seating and outdoor seating also. The inside is clean and modern. Everyone working there has always been helpful and friendly to me. I wish they would bring back the savory muffin, it was my favorite.

I have always loved Lawson's but today the staff members went above and beyond for me Charlie and Sam were amazing, so sweet, and helped me make my gender reveal happen the same day I got my results back! Thank you so much girls! You made today so special!

Was in Morgan Hill today and stopped in at Lawson's Bakery to try their beignets, which I'd heard were very good. The bakery is on Monterey Highway in front of a townhouse complex and easy to miss. I had no trouble finding a parking spot, but it was a quiet Saturday evening. Other reviews mention parking can be challenging during peak hours. There was only one person behind the counter. She was very nice and had things under control. I was concerned because there were no beignets in the glass case with the pastries, but she explained they make them fresh to order and they take about ten minutes. Each order consists of 10 small beignets. While I was waiting I ordered a pumpkin chocolate chip scone. The woman behind the counter (should have got her name) was kind enough to give me an extra scone for free. It was sweet and delicious. I waited until I got home to try the beignets (okay I had one in the car). They came with a little container of caramel for dipping. Yum, so good. They are very light and rolled in sugar. Lawson's Bakery also has coffee and savory items like breakfast burritos, veggie quiche, grilled artichokes, and more. Their sweets include cakes, cupcakes, cheesecake bars, bread pudding, scones, lemon bars, and much more. It's a cute bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. If I lived in Morgan Hill I would be there often.

I love Lawsons bakery! We order cakes from them often and they are always beautiful and delicious! Our most recent cake was a little bit of a custom cake and ordered during a very busy time. But, they did it and it was perfect! It was a Mama Mia themed cake for my daughter's 17th birthday. She absolutely loved it! Thank you Lawson's!!!

Lawsons at their old location on Tennant this location a lot better nice new and updated location. Stopped by for a quick bite before my flight home. Great bakery and the staff here are always fantastic.

    Berry roll.

I live in San Jose and was in town staying in a Airbnb near by and happened to stumble upon this place. We have a bakery in town that makes burnt almond cake and I have to say Lawson's definitely toe to toe with who has the best burnt almond cake.I also love their berry roll so much I bought out all the ones they had left.Definitely worth trying.

    Avocado toast
    Rylee Q.

Wow, this was so disappointing. The chicken sandwich was $16 and was basically all lettuce. I honestly thought it was a joke when it came out. I even found a review from a couple years ago where the sandwich looked completely normal, so I'm not sure what happened, but this should not be served for that price. The avocado on the toast was unripe, and the portion itself felt pretty sad for what it cost. Not pictured is the banana cream latte made with their "house-made syrup," which tasted exactly like a banana laffy taffy. I have a hard time believing it was actually made in house. Overall, the whole experience was a letdown and the quality just didn't come close to matching the prices. Staff was not exactly friendly either

*** Stellar Gem *** I was actually jealous of the staff. Charlie switched off with the employee on their breaks eating the food. I wish I could eat like that daily. They are so lucky. My most searched food item is breakfast burrito. I am usually disappointed when I do order them but not this time. It was delicious to the point that we needed to go order another (2nd time was veggie burrito). The pancakes were perfectly fluffy with a nice crispy texture. Would have ordered more but didn't want to overeat. The veggie burrito had elevated tasting veggies in it. Definitely tomatoes, Brussels sprouts, egg whites, etc. Housemade salsa was in containers at the front. It is brilliant because you don't have people filling a small plastic container only to make a mess. Grab what you need. I was bummed that we didn't get to pick up some burnt almond cake on the way back. Bread pudding and beignets looked tempting but only one stomach. Too many sweets during the holidays. Definitely recommend for food with elevated flavors.

We have been wanting to check out Lawson's Bakery 's new location ever since they moved there months ago. The new location is in a nice area off Monterey Road in Morgan Hill infront of a new townhomes area. Parking is accessible either in the small parking lot or street parking. There are plenty of outdoor tables and a few picnic tables in the nice patio area. The bakery looks inviting and nice inside. Simple modern decor with a few tables available for dine in. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There are displays of some delectable pastries and baked goods in the front counter area. We ordered fried mac and cheese bites, chicken wings, the wedge salad, the honey bee cocktail and a Chardonnay glass. The food was delicious and flavorful. Our drinks were refreshing. Everything was priced modestly reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Lawson's Bakery. We will be back soon to try their pastries, other appetizers and other drinks.

    Cherry Greek Yogurt Danish
    Clarizza A.

They relocated to a corner spot around the new neighborhood. Plenty of seating outside and inside. The workers were very nice as well. I haven't tried the coffee yet but the pastries are so good! I got the butterscotch cheesecake bar before and it's so sweet but sooooo good. This time I got the cherry greek yogurt danish and was pleasantly surprised! I typically don't like anything with cherries but I was a fan of this.

    Our little approves!

We were greeted by a very friendly waitress. She said we could sit wherever we wanted, asked if we've been in before, and told us about the specials. The interior is cozy, it kind of reminded me of dive bar vibes. They have a lot of drinks on tap and some frozen slushies. I opted for organic iced tea since I don't drink. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed one of the slushies was non-alcoholic so I might try that next time. We ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with Chili Cheese Fries and the Supreme wood-fired pizza. The burger was fantastic! The BBQ sauce was delicious, the bacon and onion rings were crispy, and the fries were great. I enjoyed the chili, but I didn't think the cheese sauce or sour cream really stood out. I thought the crust on the pizza was perfect, I really enjoyed the wood-fired vibe and fresh toppings. This would probably be my favorite pizza if they used better mozzarella. For now, Bizza is holding the top spot for me since they use Butcher's Son mozzarella, and in my opinion, it's the best vegan mozzarella sub I've ever had from pizza spots so far. Even though I have notes, I still think the overall meal was a home run and the staff were super friendly so they get 5-stars in my book.

He didn't say a word, so we asked for a table and all he said was, "Sit anywhere." Once we sat down, my boyfriend asked what beers they had on tap, and the guy just waved his hand toward the bar and said, "You can read them over there." Mind you, we weren't sitting anywhere near the bar, so my boyfriend had to get up just to see the list. Then he ordered one of the beers on tap. "We're out of that." So he picked another one. "We're out of that too." So... you get annoyed when we ask what beers you have, but then when we order the ones on your tap list, you're out of them? So what tf do you have? Honestly, if the server had just been polite, none of this would've been a big deal. But the entire interaction felt like we were inconveniencing him by simply walking through the door. like God forbid you have to serve customers at your job? After that, we just closed out our bill with our two drinks because we had zero interest in eating somewhere that made us feel that unwelcome. And to top it all off, my lemon drop martini SUCKED. save yourself the headache and just go to chilis.

The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I could have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. And for dessert we had tiramisu. It came plated beautifully with a raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid flower. The flavor while not the best I've had was still pretty darn good 4 Stars. Overall food and dining experience at the restaurant easily hits 5 stars! We very quickly told him we would need a few minutes. The few minutes though turned into 10-15 before he came back to take our order. The appetizer took an extremely long amount of time to get to table. The young man who brought it wasn't our server and did not check to see if we needed anything else. When our waiter eventually came back with our cocktails. He just held them out to the nearest person and made us pass them down the table. Eventually after another long wait, our meals arrived. Server nowhere to be found. By this time our first drinks and waters were empty. Server didn't come by for quite awhile after. Some of our party asked for more drinks and water. We never got more water. Server never came by mid meal to ask how we were doing. If we needed anything else. I would've ordered another drink if I had a shred of confidence that it would've been delivered before I finished my meal. Speaking of the cocktail. YOU DO NOT MUDDLE THE CHERRIES IN AN OLD FASHIONED. It was just a mash of fruit floating around at the bottom of the glass. We finally saw our server again when he came by to ask if we wanted desert. He dropped off the menus and then disappeared for another 10+ minutes. At which point I had to go find him to inform him that we wanted to order dessert since we were celebrating my father's birthday. When the other young man brought our desserts we had to ask for new plates and clean utensils. We again had to ask for more water since it wasn't brought when previously asked for. Our server then eventually showed up for the check. He told us the first card didn't go through. He did not do this quietly or with tact. He came back after the second card didn't go through. We did not get any banking notifications about these and inquired if perhaps their system was the problem. It wasn't until the third card didn't go through that he admitted they were trying to fix the problem on their end. He did not apologize. We've dined at this restaurant multiple times a year for several years. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had here. If you care at all about the service you pay for then I would suggest you avoid this restaurant. Very disappointed. Next time we'll be dining elsewhere.
