I've had only good experiences with Tealite! The staff is kind, warm welcoming. The product is top quality, tasty, and refreshing. The environment is positive and the service is always top quality. I have to highlight the wonderful-super manager Summer, there is such a charm with the way she takes care of her team, customers, and store. It's been a while since I've been here to this boba shop. I ordered a peach fruit tea with crystal boba. And I can honestly say that I've had much better. It's a little skimpy on the boba. And the flavor of the tea is very mediocre. It's been years since I've been here and I remember it having a much nicer ambiance. It's not as inviting as it used to be. Not many places to sit. And they're one little area that's kind of cute where you can take selfie pictures didn't have the neon light on. They had a pretty sad animal claw game. Not a lot of prizes in the game. A really cool boba drink spot in Morgan Hill. Doesn't get very crowded and the service is very fast. They don't have a lot of food options but there were some bao buns I've been meaning to try. We picked this up passing through. I had the Giant Peach, and T had Victorian Sunset. My drink tasted pretty watery, and the boba was not very soft. The staff was friendly - they also allowed us to sub out a topping for another. Too bad the drinks were not better. read more

Their drinks were refreshing after a long hot day at the park. There was something for everyone, including a variety of teas, shave ice, and non-caffeinated fruit drinks. They don't really have a seating area except for two bars at the windows that can fit three stools each, but the area was big enough for the small group of kids to hang out in without feeling like they were bothering the staff and other customers coming in. They have a cute floral backdrop for taking pictures. There's a claw machine, but it's a bit expensive, especially for no chance of winning. Parking was really hard at around 3:30, though. Unfortunately the last two times made it seem like the quality has declined too much to return :( The service is also just okay. The second to last time I went, the milk tea was sickeningly sweet (I felt like I was drinking straight sugar) and there were like two ice cubes in it which made it even less refreshing. The good: There aren't many boba options in Morgan Hill so I'm thankful for this place! I got the purple orchid which was jasmine and taro milk tea mixed together. My order was made quickly since I ordered ahead with DoorDash. The black tapioca pearls were soft. It also came with honey boba and aloe vera. The aloe vera had a very fun slippery texture with a nice bite. You can adjust the sweetness and ice levels on your drink. They also sell sweet and savory baos. The bad: There's no outdoor tables to sit and lounge at. But there are two skinny benches. The taro flavor was from a powder. $6 was more than I expected for the quality of tea but I think you can think of it as 50 cents for the boba and an additional 50 cents for aloe vera. The interesting: There's a self-order iPad and a fun claw machine inside. I didn't get sips of the aloe vera until after several sips of boba. I think the aloe vera sat on top so I'd recommend mixing it up a bit more. They sell packaged ice cream that might be popular with kids but I thought it kind of cheapened the feel of the place because it wasn't a unique product made by the store. read more

Confession. I almost never go to Morgan Hill, and prior to some time earlier in the week, the last time I visited was years ago. Why? I don't ever recall word of mouth or hand scenarios bringing up a cute dessert spot that's actually good or a place with potential. I was hoping that Morgan Hill would finally have an Asian bakery to steal visits from the usual sweet spots I go to, but no. I would so visit the suburb more if there is a bakery of a group that hasn't been covered in the South Bay like Thai. So, I just had to settle for boba, and TeaLite (not Delight) Drinks and Snow was the first spot I encountered once I did hit the downtown area. Scratch that. Tealite was the closest spot from where I randomly stopped at as I looked through this review spot. It's an "It's there" spot. If you don't know what I mean, the statement means that the place is there, and I'm able to get a drink. Do I wish I could give the place a better score? Of course, but there's no way the place should get a 4 or a perfect 5 for me. The good? As I input the service part of the review, the clerk was helpful. I do see all these cute name drinks and these shaved snows. (I think these places now need to be like "Gochiusa" by having cute names for the drinks.) There's also an ice cream storage area if one isn't up for a snow. Oh, right, I saw a monitor playing K-pop and a crane machine. By the way, my strawberry smoothie wasn't bad. The bad. Though I recall two flaws, both of them are that bad. Outside of the bao, I don't ever recall seeing any other food that's not frozen, and that statement made the place lose a portion of charm. The more annoying flaw is the lack of a decaf tea. After hearing that there are no decaf teas, I didn't bother asking the rest of my usual questions. Tealite feels average, but with the Yelp score system, it gets 3 stars. While it gets points for having solid drinks and a memorable element in a crane machine which I didn't fiddle with, it loses points from critical elements. The place isn't terrible, but there are too many places to compete with in the Bay Area (straight Morgan Hill is a different story), and a good amount of them gave me an allure much earlier than this one that are well, that strong. Maybe if I visited the place years ago, it would do a decent job at stealing visits. Alas, it's just another 3-star cute but flawed boba spot (4th in a row that I reviewed to get this score) for me. +: Tealite is terrific at having a good tasting drink and a cute and memorable element in a crane game. -: Having just 1 non-cold food item and no decaf teas make the place drag more than it should. read more

Needed my boba fix while on a road trip down the i-5 freeway and decided to stop here. My experience was pretty lackluster. I ordered the Black Widow and it was really underwhelming. The egg pudding was not very custard-like and had a really firm texture like jello. It had a really weird aftertaste too... The boba was not sweet at all and each pearl was really firm... like my jaw got tired of chewing after a while. The oolong was decent, but the flavor got drowned out by the milk. The milk-to-tea ratio was not very even. The best thing about this place was that they have a helpful numbering system for COVID. "Supposed to be consumed with ice" not everyone likes ice, you should realize that, oh and if it melts, it waters down the drink, more on that later cause of... Science... Shakers allow you to chill a drink and... NOT add ice. "Only dispenses a certain amount of water, it's a preset" and "Add water and not adjust other ingredients to compensate?" ‍ ok, thanks for answering this part, maybe... just maybe... you could adjust those presets for customers that don't want ice and adjust the ingredients? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This is just mind boggling to me but makes one thing clear, you're bottom line is for making as much profit as possible. Never coming here again. Ordered a Winterfell with no ice and 50% sugar. Cup was about 1.5" empty at the top - - when I asked, they told me it was cuz I ordered no ice. They gave me a bs answer about the dispenser automatically dispensing portions. Every other boba tea place I've ever been to, still fills the cup to the top. And I've been to a good number of them, many in San Jose. If everyone else can fill the cup, surely they can find a way. Also, even at 50% sugar, drink was still too sweet. Also, there was a grittiness on top of the egg pudding. Never coming here again. Very poor value and product for $6. read more

Tealite is one of a handful of pearl tea places in Morgan Hill. They are conveniently located in same shopping center as the movie theater and Safeway (closer to the movie theater) off Tennant. I have always been a fan of their drinks and service - even during the pandemic. My go to drink is the Peach Oolong milk tea with light ice and light sugar. The tea leaves are brewed nicely so that it doesn't taste too bitter or artificial. Depending on my mood, sometimes I will get pearls and sometimes I'll get egg pudding. Both toppings are cooked well and aren't chewy or break apart easily. If you're in the area, Id recommend checking out Tealite. read more
