Decent clam strips and wings. Wings were not too crispy but pretty good sauce. Took 20 minutes on a Monday early evening to get our check mainly because the one working bartender/waitress was busy chatting it up with what appeared to be locals (until they went into the kitchen so perhaps they're also staff). we ordered a dozen wings but only got 10. there was no signage saying the pricing or the fact that apparently in this county, "dozen" means "10". Wish there was some clarification on the menu considering we paid $15 for them. read more

Tiniest bar I have ever been to but what a time. Just a heads up, there's a basement (maybe a cooler) so when the cook comes out of the mens room with a handful of produce it's fiiiiiine. The locals made the experience so much fun, but yeah it's a dive. Happy we went though! read more

We wanted something quick for lunch before starting our next hike. We stopped in a nearby store who recommended Marias! We walked in to be greeted by a friendly bartender. We sat at the bar, asked for some menu recommendations and she did not disappoint! I had a ham wrap with cheese. The ham was tasty & it was served with chips & a pickle! Super tasty. My husband had the cheeseburger. He was it was juicy & cooked to perfection! Lots of locals, which is always a good sign. There was a decent amount of options & a full bar. read more

Local joint in Watkins Glen with really good service and extremely friendly patrons. Came here on a Saturday evening to grab dinner. My friend and I sat at the bar and drank a couple of beers while waiting for our take-out. The locals chatted us up and we had such a great time! We ordered 2 beers, an order of their extra crispy garlic wings, salad and tater tots for less than $30. That's unheard of! Tip: if you order the garlic wings and the tater tots, dip the tots into the garlic sauce. It's delicious. And don't be afraid to talk to the locals! They have plenty of interesting stories you can't find online. read more

I wanted to love the wings and live up to the hype. They were good (especially being outside Buffalo), but not the best. They lacked crispiness. The homemade blue cheese was so thick, it looked like butter. A single order was 8.50. Kids split a burger and chicken fingers. The fingers ($6) were delicious...I wish I ordered that instead. They were a large order for the price. I don't eat red meat, so my options were limited. Atmosphere is a dive bar with a handful of small tables. Popcorn machine. Bartender places your food order. Had a great lunch at this cute bar and grill last week while on a 3,000 mile road trip. The waitress/bartender was very helpful in helping us find some gluten and corn free fare (their wings and ranch dressing met both requirements). We also had a blue cheese & bacon burger with onion rings. Everyone in our party raved about the food and it ended up being one of the best meals on our road trip! I had the bacon bleu cheese burger. It was enormous and delicious. I tried to stuff the perfect, crispy steak fries in my face too despite being very full. The bartender was super friendly and we loved the dinged up car parts used as decor. We live in the village of Watkins and have been to Maria's several times. Yesterday we were there but left without ordering because we remembered before we did that it was cash only, no charge cards accepted and their ATM screen said it was Out Of Service. Now I understand the rationale (somewhat) of why a business wants to inconvenience its customers and cause them to either come with cash or charge them an extra 3% for the "convenience" of using THEIR ATM so that they can save surcharges for customers' use of credit cards BUT this pointed us to leave and not return and went instead 75 feet away to Bleachers. This is ridiculous on Maria's part and it's very unlikely from here on that we will return. read more

Nothing special. Went here because of the good reviews and it was a let down. First of all, the map on yelp is wrong. It's on Franklin between 6th and 7th street. Second of all, it is really small and gathers mostly locals and the wait staff isn't particularly friendly to non locals.
