I made the mistake of booking with this salon and not really researching reviews on it. Based on the glance of images and impression of the salon I assumed I was making a good choice. Now im dealing with the aftermath. I arrived for my appointment on time at 11am. The stylist was 30 mins late. I have very long bleach blonde hair, I've done a balayage blonde service once a year for the past 6 years or so. I wanted a trim and some long pieces cut to frame my face. She cut a ton and now my hair looks super short and like the outdated style of Jennifer Aniston from friends with full tapered cut down the front. Not what I wanted. I can't put my hair up or do anything with it. I see on the reviews the other customers had the same issue as me. It's weird chopping front overly cut pieces. Looks terrible. I asked for a full color I wanted a color that was a dark reddish color with photo provided to her, and I said No blonde to remain. She decided to bleach my hair like highlights and then color and now I have uneven weird blonde highlights from the roots which I didn't ask for. My entire hair was blonde from bleaching a year ago it didn't need to be bleached. The color is nothing like the photo. She told me not to worry that the color looked bad it's just "the lighting" in the salon. It looked like the weirdest orange red brown tone. I usually do a blonde balayage for 4-6 years ongoing and then I go red or brown. Then a couple years I go back to blonde balayage again. I've been doing this my whole life. The last time I had an all over red color was 6 years ago and it came out beautiful. I've never had an issue with coloring like this before. She got outspoken and defensive about she did it right when I only nicely said hey this is not what I showed you I wanted. She said I could come back to resolve but honestly if she messed up this bad I won't dare to take my hair back into her care again. I tried to hold it together to check out, it was just a young girl running the counter. No one to really talk to there at the time to escalate my concern. I hated paying $400 for terrible hair. Place is not skilled on services and I advise to read others including mine that this place is terrible. Now I have to spend the next few years trying to grow out the terrible cut she gave me. I'm going to have to go to another salon that knows what they are doing to properly fix this color as a correction service and cost me yet again prob another $400 Or more. Location is cute and clean. The staff is a vibe! My cut was solid and it's probably the best place to go in Lake Mary. I did pay $80 when I only asked for a TRIM & dry ($70+$10 tip) which was a surprise but entirely worth it. (Edited) Pro tip is checking with your stylist at every stage to see if what they're doing is an upsell! Do not trip on advocating for yourself here. They will keep rolling with what's best for your hair not your pocket. I honestly just wish the cut cost less so I could directly tip the stylist more. I had my hair cut and highlighted by Summer. To start off I would like to say that words cannot do justice to how amazing my hair looks now. I will do my best to describe the spectacular work that Summer did on my hair. You will have that rare ecstatic feeling you get when you just love your hair after leaving the salon when Summer does your hair. I have had my hair done from Boca Raton to New York and she is simply the best!!! She fully understood exactly what I wanted and gave me results that exceed any expectation I could have had!! My hair is hard to lift to the right shade and she nailed the color better than anyone has ever been able to do before! She is not only a color expert/genius but also a master with scissors. I was looking at some videos on haircut's on YouTube and saw her demonstrating for other stylists a few different techniques. I knew then that I wanted her to style my hair. I could see she was very talented in the videos that I watched, but was blown away by how incredible my hair turned out. She was meticulous with the details, showing extreme attention to every minute detail and total care for every step of the process. I have a lot of hair and she took all the time that was needed to make my hair perfect, including corrective work to really make my look stand out. This beautiful salon is the perfect place for a dye, wash, cut and style. I love my new look by Lorelay! I have seen these ladies perform miracles! They are all very talented. It is a beautiful and spacious salon. The chairs are white, which I love, it's such a nice touch. They have the usual hair salon services as well as an array of other services including, tanning, facials, waxing, threading, makeup, lashes, etc. But the best part is the glass of wine that they offer me when I walk in! The girls always look beautiful too. There is something comforting knowing that the ladies who do my hair take so much pride in their own appearances. I came to Luxe salon after doing quite a bit of research, as my hair is quite light blonde, and I need to be mindful that the person performing my color service is experienced. I was confident in their abilities and made an appointment. I knew that I needed quite a bit cut off, and that my hair was damaged, as this is a no brainer when your hair is kept so light. I sat in greychas chair, and explained that I understood it wouldn't be exact, but I wanted it as light as possible, and as close to what I currently had. Boy - was I in for it. I would sit in her chair for the next 4 hours. She would apply a low volume bleach, and when that didn't process, she then put 40vol on, and let that process, for about 10 minutes, but not quite enough to get it light enough. At that point my hair was a darkish golden color. Next, she took me back to the shampoo bowl and asked a number of other stylists what she should tone it with (after putting 2-3 different toners on one section of my hair in the back), and was instructed to work in sections with a blue toner, and leave it on for 5 minutes. She applied it, and walked away, and came back about 10-15 minutes later. At this point we went back to her chair, my hair was a nice periwinkle blue. She then cut my hair, and left one side quite longer than the other. (This wasn't apparent until after I'd gone home and flat ironed my hair) Greycha told me that if the blue didn't wash out, that I could come back and have it clarified, I wasn't particularly thrilled about how blue my hair was when I left, but I paid, 225$ and left the salon. I went home and washed my hair, and looked at the color in natural light, it was patchy, bluish, greenish, and the real kicker was the regrowth being at least an entire level darker than the rest of my hair. With subsequent washings, it has gotten worse as the toner has faded out. I emailed the owner the next day, and kindly let them know that I was unhappy with my hair situation, and that it was unsatisfactory. The owner emailed me back, letting me know that she would retone my hair, and fix my haircut, and in a few weeks, (at my own expense) I should have it lightened again. Note: I've had this same service done as a retouch and never have I had to have it done in multiple appointments, it would cost thousands - a toner is a temporary fix, and will not fix the fact that my hair at the regrowth is an entire level darker than the rest of my hair) after my 2nd email, letting her know that just a simple temporary toner was not going to fix my 225$ hair situation, she told me that I could come in on one day next week, which will not work for me, and that is my only option. I asked her to refund me, minus the cost of product, and she is refusing to do so. She is saying that my hair does not need to be "fixed" when in fact, it does. If this hair was on her head, I bet she would not walk around with it for weeks on end. I bet she would also demand a refund, or have someone else fix it. I do NOT recommend trusting Luxe with your hair. They are inflexible, and promise to "protect the integrity of the hair" even though while sitting in their salon, my hair was bleached twice, when she could've achieved the same result by only bleaching it once. read more

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I went to this salon last week for full highlights and a hair trim. The Lux experience of this place consisted of the stylists there swearing, talking about other clients and talking about how much they charge clients for different services and that they needed to increase the rates. This is all out in the open. Completely unprofessional. I felt like I was getting a sales pitch the minute I sat in the chair. I decided to go with a full highlight "with the harsh highlight lines" as my stylist put it instead of opting for the balayage she highly recommended. I'm already blonde. For color I said, as I do every time I get highlights done, get it as blonde as it will go. She recommended toner at the end to "get the orange out" and what I ended up with was darker hair than I walked in with and a $265 bill for full highlights, toner, a trim and style/no blow dry. Complete waste of time and money and with absolutely nothing to show for it. Will never be back nor encourage anyone to go here. read more

I can't say enough good things about Lorelay! My hair is thick, heavy and curly making it difficult to cut well (it can't just look good the first hour, it has to look great after washes and at home styling too). Lorelay makes it happen, I've been following her for 8 years, why? Anyone else who touches my hair cannot achieve what she can which is color that is well placed (i always go for balayage highlights), layers that move and bounce well after my cut, and bangs that are blended well. She's honest too! If you want her opinion on color or what would look good, she wouldn't steer you wrong. She's even cut my asymmetric bob, I would never let anyone else do it, ever! This place I found to be very unprofessional! You have to pay in advance bc they say their time is valuable to ensure you show for your appointment which is understandable but if not given enough notice if you need to cancel they take the money when I had my stylist cancel on me last minute and nothing was done. I rescheduled bc that's life things happen. So when appointment day arrives, I'm on my way and I get a text saying she's going to be late.. okay no problem so when she finally gets here she shares with me the photo I wanted was not doable when I had already previously sent her a picture of my hair and what I wanted and it was represented she could do it.. I was not happy with that but try to be as understanding and she did my hair. I got full highlights. My hair felt super damaged after that which had never happened before when I have gotten it done ( I only get my hair done every once in a while bc I have been growing it out ) anyway, several months later it's time again to get it done, I scheduled another appointment and SAME thing happened.. on my way to the appointment and I get another text saying my stylist is running late to get to work.. very unprofessional and this time when she got to work and I told her what I wanted ( which was the same as last time ( highlights and a haircut ) she told me she couldn't do what I wanted again but she can do some version of it but it's going to cost $500!! All the while the hair shop did not have AC!! It was burning up in there. All together I wouldn't ever recommend going there! Staff is very unprofessional.. from the check in desk to the stylists. When you go in with lighter hair and ask to go blonder but you leave with darker hair?? When asked for refund they say they will fix it. When I go in to get it fixed they darken the roots which is what I had asked for from the beginning but did nothing to make my ends lighter. I'm just confused on how someone says I want darker roots and bright blonde at the mid to bottom and get darker hair all together. Pictures don't lie. Went in to get layers and a trim the outcome was choppy and slightly uneven; My layers were not blended in at all and when I told her I would like some layers to frame my face she attempted but they layers were barely noticeable. I would give zero stars if permitted! I just moved to this area and looked up nearby salons and this is the salon closest to me. I had a consultation with Adrianna and spent several minutes going over what my desired color was. I explained no red, copper, black etc. I was looking for more of a neutral tone carmel color balayage process. The entire time Adrianna yanked on my head giving me a whiplash effect. She neglected me while taking care of family affairs walking out numerous times calling checking on her son and going to the back snacking. She put me under the lamp and it processed darker in other areas and red/copper in others. I was there from 2:00 -9:00 pm it was an exhausting day and should have never taken that many hours. I left with a major migrane from all the pulling and yanking. I informed Adrianna of my complaint and she said you can come back next week and i will put some low lites to lighten the ends. I said it's not going to achieve the color I desired. She was very rude and unprofessional.I spoke to the owner Kacey and she advised that she was aware of the situation and made excuses that Adrianna was worried about her babysitter not answering. That's not my problem! You are supposed to put customers first and your own affairs on the backburner. Kacey advised me to come up there and her look at my hair. She said let me put a toner with blue in it to bring out the carmel tones and make it more neutral toned. I agreed , trusting she was experienced in her suggestion. After she applied and washed it out she said she didnt have time to blowdry it and only dried one strand for me to see the color. I told her it still looks red and she said no its carmel not red at all. By the time my hair air dried it was redish/orange! I'm so livid my hair is ruined very dry coarse and I look like a freaking clown. This color was a pricetag of $700.00 and then had the audacity to tell me after the toner that if you come in a month I'll do some hi lites for $130.00. Kacey said our policy is a week to come back for any corrections, I said Adrianna wasn't available in a week nor was I wanting to go back to her. Kacey the owner said she would charge me $130 to put a few hi lites, suggested I come back in a month being my hair was very dry after the many processes. Really like shes doing me a favor they should be bending over backwards to earn my business yet they have ruined any chance at me stepping foot back in there.
